Just after the interview finishes to air on Saturday night, Nellie’s father disputes AKA’s version of what transpired. Since Anele’s demise a lot has been going on with rumours surfacing that seem to be blaming AKA for what happened. Last week Mac G read an email from an anonymous person claiming to b Anele’s relative.

The email mentioned a lot of things that surely made AKA the bad man. Like it is not enough the relative asked the Police to investigate AKA as he was the cause. As a result AKA decides to do an interview which gives his side of the story. Unfortunately, the Tembe family is not agreeing with Keirnan’s side of the story. Nellie’s father says AKA was never denied an opportunity to read his message on the day of the funeral but he never asked.

During the interview AKA does not address allegations on drug abuse and refuses to disclose all facts. This leaves people with a not more questions with his fans thinking the interview was not a good idea at all.

Kiernan mentions that he is in a state of grief and sadness. He emphasizes how much he loved the deceased. Prior to Nellie’s death, the couple argued and AKA decided to remove himself from the situation so that things could calm then they would fix their issues. Although why they were fighting is not really disclosed, the problem was bad to the extent that Anele threw her engagement ring at AKA.

According to AKA, he went to the bathroom for some air and when he returned Nellie was not in the room. He went to the balcony and when he saw this disturbing scene he started screaming and lost his mind.

AKA also rubbishes claims that he is an abuser. Instead the rapper claims his aim was to make the love of his life happy each day. The public seem to be confused with AKA’s story and here are some conclusions from the public.

AKA’s highly-anticipated interview is finally live on YouTube and the rapper is answering some of the burning questions about Anele’s passing and the nature of their relationship.

The rapper first revealed that it’s been hard for him to get up on some days and feels like his whole life has been pulled from underneath him.

“I’m in a state of grief. Sadness. For me, Anele was and still is my wife. I find it very hard to get up in the mornings and make it through the day. I’m in grieving and I’m in the morning.

“There’s so much going on and it’s hard for me to find the time and the peace to mourn and to grief. My thoughts are also with her family. It’s not just my loss. It’s their loss as well. With my family, it’s been very very difficult for us as well because at the end of the day we were going to become one family.

And I feel like all that potential and my whole life has been pulled out from underneath me. I never wanted to lay things bare. I never wanted to be in this position and have to explain. I just wanted to mourn and grieve. I think the events of the last month have really put me in a position where I now need to tell the truth. And I need to speak and my voice needs to be heard. Because people want to know from me what my explanations or my answers to their questions are.”

Detailing the night Nellie died, he revealed that they had a good time before her tragic passing.

“It was a great day. We went down to Cape Town. We went to the V & A, we had lunch with our friends. We had lunch, we went shopping. She got dressed, she looked beautiful as always, and then we went to work.

“We came back around eleven with some friends and the friends left. And then prior to that week having left for Cape Town. Myself and Anele had a particularly difficult week in our relationship. Lots of disagreements, arguments, and so forth,” he said.

He then revealed that they got into an argument and Nellie threatened to take her life. Which, according to him, she did.

“We sat down, we spoke and naturally we started disagreeing again. And things got more heated to the point where it was the early hours of the morning. So at one point, when things started to take a turn I decided that it would be best for me to remove myself from the situation. I decided I was going to gather my belongings and book myself into another room and hopefully things will simmer down.

“Got to the point where we argued more and the thing that really breaks my heart – I have my ring with me – it’s the only thing that I have of her belongings and she took it off and threw it at me. We said very mean things to each other and I left the room. Came back to her room because I had taken her phone.

And things took a turn for the worst when we got to a point in the argument where Anele kind of threatened to kill herself. I had called reception for security and kind of tried to remove myself from the situation. And I think out of panic, I didn’t want to be there or feel that this was going to happen. So I went to the bathroom and when I came out of the bathroom she wasn’t in the room. And I looked around the room – she wasn’t there – I get to the balcony and I look down to the street, that’s where she was.”

AKA almost arrested

According to a certain local publication, Mzansi hip hop star AKA was almost arrested for allegedly attacking his fiancee Anele “Nellie” Tembe last year. The situation between AKA and his late fiancee is now getting intense.

Disturbing photos of AKA breaking down a door where Nelli was hiding circulated on social media in the past weeks. The publication reported that Nelli Tembe almost reported AKA to the police after he attacked her.

More information from the publication suggests that Anele Tembe and AKA were involved in a brawl and the police were called to the scene to investigate a violence case against a woman.

Nelli’s friend revealed that the rapper was abusing his fiancee and that their relationship was toxic. Unfortunately, Nelli passed away in Cape Town after jumping from a hotel’s 1oth floor.

Another Suspicions DM exposing AKA flood social media

A Non-Profit Organization called ‘Women For Change’ has been fighting for rapper AKA‘s music to be cancelled across all media. The organisation, which opposes gender-based violence (GBV) wants radio stations, television channels, DJs and fans to stop supporting AKA by not playing his music. They even want him to lose his endorsements, all in the name of getting Anele Tembe justice.

The hashtag which erupted calling for Supa Mega to get cancelled has received it’s full support from the NPO. A recent one, #AKAkhulume, which means AKA must speak, caused them to receive an anonymous DM which suggests that media houses have already started distancing themselves from the rapper.

The DM reads: “The word on the street is AKA’s PR company begged people for interviews and most media houses refused. Please keep me anonymous.”

This is in relation to his upcoming YouTube interview with Bar Leader headed by eNCA journalist Thembekile Mrototo. If this DM is anything to go by then it might be that media houses have already started distancing themselves from the rapper.

His legal team from Mabuza Attorneys announced that AKA will break his silence when the time is right, and it seems as though the time is now. “Mr Forbes takes the current events playing out since this past Sunday seriously. It is regrettable that he and his brand are now associated with GBV. However, he assures his fans and the public that he is not a perpetrator of GBV. In due time he will respond fully to all questions and queries. Currently, the situation is heavy on him and his family as a whole,” Rudolph Baloyi, senior associate at the law firm.

Clips of the explosive interview have been making its rounds on social media and the journalist did not come to play. In fact he asked the hard hitting, grueling questions that need to be answered.

AKA also revealed that detectives spearheading the investigation, allegedly interviewed his ex-girlfriend and baby mother DJ Zinhle. He seemed very puzzled that detectives interviewed the Indlovu hitmaker asking what direction is the investigation taking.

“Detectives flying up from Cape Town to interview Zinhle. Why? What is the directions of this inquest?” asked AKA.

Da Les finally speaks on rumours of bestfriend AKA having an affair with his baby mama

The status of Da Les and AKA’s relationship has been a trending topic following a tell-all-letter from someone claiming to be a relative of the Tembe family. The letter sent to Podcast and Chill was to allegedly expose AKA’s cheating ways.

This person, who requested to remain anonymous, claimed that Nellie was suffering in the relationship.”Nellie was suffering in her relationship, she struggled with cheating and abuse from Kiernan. It started last year when she had mentioned to me that she had tried to take her life after finding out he had been sleeping with other women. But what shook Nellie was when she found s.e.xual messages on his phone [between AKA and DA Les’ baby mama.” The letter read in part.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Da Les’ response to the message. IOL revealed that they reached out to the Tippy Toes hitmaker and he neither confirms nor denies the cheating allegations. “In moments of tragedy, there are no winners. It is with a heavy heart, but I choose to focus on the future where my family and love is the baseline; I think we need a lot more of it to go around, as no one wins in conflict.” read the rapper’s brief statement.

In the same letter read out by Mac G, anonymous said that Nellie was devastated following the alleged cheating. “She was devastated and the messages broke her heart, it was all there in plain sight AKA was having an affair with Aurea, Da Les’ baby mama who was very much involved and still in a relationship with Da Les. They have a daughter together, Kiernan has been to multiple birthday parties for their baby.”

This unidentified person also alleged that AKA paid Da Les’ baby mama to remain silent. “Kiernan sent Aurea R20 000 to silence her after she was feeling guilty and wanted to tell Da Les. Nellie found the messages and communication about the situation and she immediately called Da L.E.S to tell him and she sent him all the screen grabs.”

AKA tells All In eNCA Sit Down Interview , Reveals Police Questioning DJ Zinhle Too

Rapper AKA has stuck to his word and had a sit-down interview with seasoned eNCA journalist Thembekile Mrototo. This was revealed by a website called Mgosi, who shared clips of the interview where a despondent AKA attempts to answer the hard-hitting questions.

As we have reported before that AKA has agreed to fully respond to all the questions and lay a lot of the rumours as well as assumptions to rest. After the sudden death of his fiancée Anele Tembe, speculations, rumours, assumptions and exposed truths about their tumultuous relationship started gaining traction. The publication, Mgosi, has revealed that the Supa Mega has already sat down with a journalist in a tell-all interview.

In one of the shared clips, Thembekile asks AKA the burning question; “Why did you break the door?” and a suspenseful audio breaks before the clip ends. AKA’s dejected face also shows for a brief second.

In another clip, still with his dejected face, AKA reveals that detectives flew out from Cape Town to allegedly interview his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child DJ Zinhle.

Shortly after the incident took place at the Pepper Club Hotel in Cape Town, investigators started doing their work and one of the people interviewed was the Indlovu Hitmaker. This was a very puzzling move to AKA as he questioned why was she interviewed and what direction is the inquest taking.

“Detectives flying up from Cape Town to interview Zinhle. Why? What is the directions of this inquest?” asked AKA.

Making this interview possible is Legend Manqele’s BarLeader production house, who after being approached by the publication, hesitantly confirmed that indeed the interview with Kiernan Forbes did take place. He could not however give much details about the interview including when it would be aired and where.

A few days ago, his legal team at Mabuza Attorneys said that the rapper stands firm to his guns that he is not a perpetrator of gender-based violence and will respond to all the questions in due time.

“Mr Forbes takes the current events playing out since this past Sunday seriously. It is regrettable that he and his brand are now associated with GBV. However, he assures his fans and the public that he is not a perpetrator of GBV. In due time he will respond fully to all questions and queries. Currently, the situation is heavy on him and his family as a whole.”

After his performance at the Nedbank Cup Finals, that clearly did not leave a goof taste in people close to Nelli Tembe, bombshells have been dropped and it did not look good for the rapper.

After the videos and photos were leaked, AKA released another statement where reiterates that he is not an abuser, but owned up to his mistakes.

“I own up to my past and current traumas and thus I have submitted myself to psychological and spiritual counselling for my own benefit and growth. I hope everyone affected by Anele’s traumatic passing does the same for themselves, individually and collectively, so that they may all afford her spirit the rest she deserves and come to terms with the choice she made that fateful morning of 11 April.”

“It is a sad day when I find myself having to speak to the nature of my relationship with Anele. What makes it even sadder is the knowledge that some of the people, she and I loved and entrusted with our deepest troubles are now using those weapons to set a negative narrative on my character,” he wrote.

AKA loses endorsements

Major brands are revaluating their association with the prince of local hip-hop, following the release of images in which rapper AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, is seen breaking down a door to enter a room where his late fiancée, Anele Tembe, was allegedly hiding from him.

His biggest endorsement with New York-based Vodka company Cruz Vodka was paused this past week.

Cruz Vodka’s statement framed all of this to seem temporary and that AKA had stepped back from the role of brand ambassador out of respect for the memory of Anele.

AKA also removed himself from the line-up at Joburg Day, where he was due to perform, on May 28.

T Effect, which manages the artist, put out a statement saying its intention is to have its client step back from this event and other public appearances.

The company said this was as a result of the narrative around AKA at the moment.

“The hip-hop megastar has elected to take a step back from the musical eventing space because he is currently in a space where he feels it is necessary to place a greater emphasis on looking after his physical and emotional wellbeing.”Furthermore, out of respect for the current social conversation about him in the public domain, he has chosen to take the necessary time out for introspection and healing so that he can adequately address all the pertinent issues in due course.”

Publicist and reputation manager Tlhogi Ngwato was not shy to share her opinion on the trajectory of AKA’s career.

“The decision to step back from public life during this period is to be commended as it shows a degree of sensitivity towards the seriousness of the matter looming and a critical understanding of stakeholder and reputation management,”Ngwato said.

“This is a carefully made move by his camp to limit the damage to his brand and, by extension, the ones he’s affiliated with.”

She has worked with many brands, such as Global Citizen, Amnesty International, Unilever, Essence Festival and MultiChoice. Ngwato believes AKA’s publicity team has been strategic and sensible.

It could be argued that the embattled rapper did not step away from his endorsements, but was perhaps nudged to the side for the time being.

“I believe his team and the organisers came to a mutual agreement. His team understands the science of optics and what it means to put actions behind words,” Ngwato said.

More shocking revelations about AKA and Nellie’s toxic relationship have emerged. During Mac G’s podcast one of Anele’s relatives sent an email mentioning all the bad things that happened between the two before Nellie died in Cape Town.

Mac G reads the email to the listeners and here are some of the mentioned things:

“Hi my name is anonymous from Tembe family in KZN. I am writing this to you hope in prayer that you will tell the truth. I feel hurt and disappointed by the Nellie situation. I feel we cannot simply ignore nor tell the truth.”

“Nellie was suffering in her relationship. She struggled with cheating and abuse from AKA. It started last year in 2020 when she mentioned that she tried to take her life after finding out he was sleeping with other women. What really shook Nellie was when she found out sexual messages of AKA and Da LES’ baby mama. She was devastated and it broke her heart. AKA was having an affair with Aurea, Da LES’ baby mama who is still in a relationship with Da LES.”

“Kiernan sent Aurea R20K to silence Aurea after she was feeling guilty and wanted to confess the truth to her man. Nellie found out about the communication and she called Da LES. This resulted in AKA and Da LES not speaking to each other.”

The email also reveals that this was the reason Da LES cancelled shooting a video with AKA. The two rappers are in bad books and instead of owning up AKA blamed Nellie. The issue of introducing Nellie to drugs is also mentioned.

The family member claims Nellie was suicidal and she could not handle the abuse from Kiernan. All reasons for Anele’s death are being rested on AKA by this anonymous family member. Lastly the family member wants the police and other investigating agencies to get Nellie’s phone because all evidence is there.

The AKA and Nellie toxic relationship details keep emerging and it is surely painting AKA as the bad guy and cause for all that has happened to date. The days are surely dark for Kiernan.

AKA breathes fire, wants the Rolex watch he bought Nelli Tembe back – Fight with Anele’s family gets ugly

After new details came to light about AKA and Anele Tembe‘s alleged toxic relationship, Mr. Tembe, Anele’s father is reportedly seeking answers. According to a certain local publication, Mr. Tembe has hired a private investigator to try and give him and the family those answers.

The investigator is said to uncover the circumstances which lead to Anele’s sudden death, on April 11, because the family refuses to take AKA’s word, which is she apparently committed suicide. This was said in his statement which he released these past few days.

During his eulogy, which was read out by a family friend, Moses Tembe rubbished assumptions that his daughter was mental or suicidal. In fact, he indirectly pinned the blame on alcohol and drug abuse.

The publication claims to have been contacted by a close ally of AKA who revealed these new developments that they have allegedly hired an investigator. According to the source, AKA is not happy about this because he feels the family is trying to dig up something so he could be blamed for untimely passing, even after telling them what happened.

Another intricate detail revealed by the blabbermouth was that AKA told the family he and Nelli fought at their hotel room at Pepperclub, when they returned from his gig. During the alleged fight, AKA contacted his fiancée’s cousin through a video call and spilled the details. He even showed the cousin his injuries he supposedly got from the fight.

After talking to her cousin, AKA then gave Nelli his phone so the cousin could calm her down. That was when he apparently made his way to the toilet but much to his dismay, Anele allegedly decided to take her fatal fall.

It is also alleged that there is hostility between the family and AKA and it all began on the day Nelli was laid to rest. Many wondered why AKA did not utter a word during his fiancée’s memorial service, well it has now been alleged by the publication that he was removed at the last minute as he was set to speak at 11 AM that morning.

With all that is going on, it is also reported that AKA wants the expensive Rolex watch he bought Anele back. After purchasing the expensive beaut, AKA shared a video where he pours champagne over the pricey timepiece. To show off that it has real diamonds of course.

That is not the only expensive thing AKA has spent on Anele, he supposedly paid R300 000 on lobola for Nelli.

As all the speculations are being thrown around, the world is waiting in anticipation for AKA to speak out as he had promised to do so. For the time being, he is taking some time off to deal with his mental state as he prepares himself to answer all the questions people have about the incident.
