#BBMzansi: Fans drool over housemate Terry

Big Brother Mzansi housemate Terry is becoming a fan favourite and has fans of the reality show eagerly anticipating the controversial “Shower Hour.”

The return of “Shower Hour” on the third season of Big Brother Mzansi sparked controversy and divided fans of the show.

Some fans have slammed Shower Hour, which airs at 10 PM every day, calling for it to be banned. They argue that it violates privacy and dehumanizes the Big Brother housemates.

However, other fans called out the critics of Shower Hour, arguing that it is part of Big Brother editions worldwide and is not unique to Big Brother Mzansi. They called on those uncomfortable with Shower Hour to not tune in since it is clearly rated R.

Fans of Shower Hour seem to appreciate Terry in particular. The buxom and statuesque Big Brother Mzansi housemate appears to be very comfortable with her body and never misses shower hour.

This has established Terry as a firm fan favourite. Fans of the reality show seem enthralled with her unassuming and forthright attitude. Based on what fans are saying on social media, Terry will probably survive an eviction when her name comes up because fans cannot imagine Shower Hour without her.

Some fans have even gone as far as saying that they are now eagerly looking forward to Shower Hour so that they can catch a glimpse of Terry. Others have taken to social media to express their admiration for her.

@MaliKearabetswe: One thing about Terry, she’s not afraid to serve us the content we want.

@zama_nk: It’s so funny that when Terry takes a shower no one complains about human dignity but when its Dinky suddenly it’s a problem hai main shower hour has been happening on BB.. if you have a problem just change the channel.

@Facts_always1: The person we are going to continuously support is Terry. Yena shame she makes our nights worthwhile.

@Zuko_Keldinho: Soon as Terry and Mpho finish showering i change the channel.

@itsPrince_Gee:

Things that are carry the show so far
1. Shower hour
2. Mpho + Libo Gossip session
3. Terry + Sis-Tamara gossip session
4. Dinky throwing tantrums during meetings
5. Men’s Conference

Where is the lie?

@RealFloetic_E: Always waiting for shower hour for Terry. Moerskon that bodyRolling on the floor laughing.

However, it should not come as a surprise that Terry is comfortable with Big Brother Mzansi’s Shower Hour, given her real-life profession. Terry is an adult content creator who makes money from the social media platform OnlyFans.

The statuesque housemate told the other housemates that she got into the adult entertainment business because she was broke. During her first stint on OnlyFans raked in over 50 000 in just two weeks.

She also admitted that she blew over 350 000 in just 7 months due to poor money management. This forced her to continue with adult content creation instead of retiring after some family members got seriously sick during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Saturday Night Party – Housemates preparing #BBMzansi

Saturday Night Party – Housemates preparing #BBMzansi

The Big Brother Housemates get to let their hair down during their first Saturday Night Party, which will probably come as something of a relief after the week they’ve had: the excitement of entering the House, the emotional strain of sharing deep, personal stories, losing the Wager Task – it’s all taken its toll.

The week also started with all of the Housemates looking like they were just the very best of friends, but time has brought about some divisions in the group – not surprising considering the considerably varied background the Housemates have. They can’t be expected to always get along.

Zino is the youngest Housemate of the season, he admits to being a “mommy’s boy”, and is a student of digital marketing. Contrast this with another Jozi native, Terry, whose professional aspirations a very different, indeed. An adult content creator who described herself as “a soft thug”, the two seem as different as they can get. They do have one thing in common, though: Terry clearly has a very soft spot for her mother, saying that, were she to win the competition, “I want to help my mother with the family.”

Zino has confessed that he has something of a soft spot for Venus, the 25-year-old bartender and aspiring musician from Durban, although he’s keeping his distance so as not to lead himself into temptation because he has a girlfriend, extra Domum. Venus has been noticeably quiet during the first week of Big Brother, in contrast to the decidedly prominent personalities of the rest of the group, but she’s clearly been noticed. The men have given her the codename, “Trespasser”, for… reasons? Strangely, though, she says that “talking always helps me – expressing myself”. Perhaps she should start doing that, then.

Venus has spent a bit of time paired up with Themba this week, as they had been collaborating on music for the first Wager Task. Aside from his musical abilities, Themba earns a living as a tattoo artist, which comes as no surprise to anyone who has seen his heavily inked face. An early fan favourite, Themba is something of an enigma. During a recent Diary Session, he laid out the ways in which he has been executing his strategy: orchestrating the so-called “Men’s Conferences”, being deliberately enigmatic in order to stir interest in himself, and being sure to share a room with B.U., who he sees as his most dangerous rival. Keep your enemies close, we guess.

B.U. is also an aspiring musician, although he lived a former life as a research analyst. From the jump, everybody knew that he was a vegan (because he wasted no time in telling us), albeit the type of vegan who doesn’t shy away from wearing an animal skin headdress. “I’m Zulu first, vegan second,” was his explanation for that, which is fair enough. Unaware that Biggie already knew the identity of “The Trespasser”, he inadvertently let it slip that this was his crush – so, Venus has another potential suitor.

Somebody who is probably really looking forward to letting his hair down (not that he has any) is Tulz. Burdened with the responsibility of being Head of House during the first week and overseeing what turned out to be a disastrous Wager Task, he must be dying for an opportunity to just forget about things. The voice artist, actor and broadcaster have stated that he intends to play it cool, and not lose his temper. “It’s not always easy,” he admitted during yesterday’s Diary Session. It’s safe to say that not everyone has the same zen-based strategy to winning the game. Tulz admitted that his friendship with Nale has turned into a crush, on his part, but he’s resigned to the fact that it “probably won’t happen.”

Describing herself as a “fine gyal, not a sad gyal”, Nale hails from Pretoria and is a model and actress and admits to being “a big flirt”. She’s not had the best few days, recently, after she called a House meeting to address some stress that Mphowabadimo was experiencing, but the latter clammed up when it was her time to speak, leaving the House feeling like Nale was stirring up drama for no reason. “It felt like I was set up by my friends,” she complained. “But then I realised I don’t have ‘friends’. This is a game.” As perceptive as that comment might be, the sense of betrayal might take longer to subside than she thinks.

Mphowabadimo originally intended to keep the fact that she is a sangoma secret but ended up spilling the beans on Day 1. She thinks that this may be the reason that some people are stand-offish toward her, and she complains that she’s being flatly ignored by some Housemates. “The only way I will win the R2 million is by keeping my head underwater,” she said during yesterday’s Diary Session. The problem with that strategy is that – eventually – you’ll drown.

One of the Housemates who admits to having a problem with Mphowabadimo – at least at first – is Dinkybliss. She says that, rather than being opposed to Mphowabadimo being a sangoma, she actually has something of the same gift, although she had been suppressing it all her life. This led to her not being able to meet Mpho’s eyes because she felt exposed. “The energies were too strong.”

Dinkybliss came up in Themba’s Diary Session too. He says that he has her all sussed out and can manipulate her to tap all the information he wants from her. It turns out, however, that Dinky is perhaps not entirely under his thrall – she’s onto him. “Themba thinks he can use me for information, but I’m feeding him the wrong information.” The game has already turned into three-dimensional chess.

Dinkybliss seems to have made a friend quite early, though – Yoli. This very bubbly woman teaches performing arts and studies psychology, so she defaulted to taking a lead role in formulating the Wager Task Presentation. She admitted to having a crush on B.U., but she’s moving on. “It’s not reciprocated, so I’m just gonna turn it off, and move on.” Along with Nale and Venus, she counts accountant Thato as one of her closest allies.

For her part, Thato admits to being open to romantic relationships in the House. “I’m single, so I’m looking,” she explains. “Honestly, my crush in the House was Tulz, but competition is tough. I’m quite clear who I think he has a crush on.” Without actually naming names, it’s likely that she thinks it’s Nale since she and Tulz have been spending quite a bit of time together.

When Sis Tamara came into the House, so did a lot of pronouns. As “a gender non-conforming experience”, Sis Tamara goes by he & him, she & her and they & them. They have expressed a strong bond with Terry. “We are basically the same person.” When speaking about any romantic relationships that might be going around, Sis Tamara claims that “the sexual tension is there. The temptation is there.” According to her, Terry will “eventually let her guard down and allow Gash1 in.” Perhaps, but it’ll be a challenge. Speaking about Gash1, Terry said, “there’s something there that I’m very suspicious of. Something is just off.”

Given all of these dynamics, and the assorted strategies and intrigue, tonight’s Saturday Night Party is going to be an interesting one: will we have some hookups? Some explosive behaviour? Tune in and find out.

Keamogetswe “QV” Motlhale has made a sudden exit from Big Brother Mzansi season 3 after the premier of the show on Sunday.

This comes after QV gathered the housemates in the early hours of the morning to announce she was leaving the show.

In her speech, QV expressed her gratitude for having been able to be a part of the show and gave the housemates a group hug as they gave her props for speaking up about mental health awareness.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for being present and opening yourself up fully to this experience. I’m sure everyone has noticed that I’ve been a little bit closed off since that other session we had and I’ve come to realise that I’m clearly struggling from something.

“And as much as I would like to throw it behind and focus solely on knowing each and every one of you. It’s not only affecting me mentally, I’m feeling it physically. So I will be leaving the game,” she said.

Watch the video below:

Director of local entertainment channels at MultiChoice Shirley Adonisi confirmed the 23-year-old from Mahikeng left the show for personal reasons and is now receiving psychological counselling.

“QV has bid farewell to her fellow housemates and has also expressed her gratitude to the production team for the opportunity to be in the house. A psychologist is working with her to ensure a smooth transition back into the outside world and guide her through her journey going forward.

“We wish her all the best on her journey and she has our full support,” read the statement.

Keamogetswe introduced herself on the show as easy-going and a “sharpshooter and straight talker”, describing herself as a tomboy who is quick to check whoever gets on her wrong side.

17 housemates now remain in the Big Brother house.

Here’s how tweeps reacted to QV’s exit from the show:

‘I went to the mountains to prove I’m a man’, #BBMzansi’s Sis Tamara shares shocking life story

The life story of Ukhotembalethu Samela, popularly known as Sis Tamara, on Big Brother Mzansi Season 3 has people feeling sorry for him as he faced problems in his life. He talked to his housemates about his life during the first day in the house.

Sis Tamara felt moved to perform the traditional annual event in the Eastern Cape to prove he was a man. Reports indicate an average of 20,000 boys aged from 15 to 17 go to the initiation school in the mountains in the Eastern Cape.

The practise is deeply rooted in the South African culture and is believed to be the point where a boy graduates into a man. Families celebrate the boys’ homecoming, who usually spend up to a month in the mountains. What happens there remains a secret and never disclosed to women or authorities.

However, things may go wrong. Unregistered initiation schools are mushrooming, posing a risk to the lives and health of mostly Xhosa and Ndebele boys. Around 400 boys have died at initiation schools due to poor medical care.

Sis Tamara felt compelled to attend the initiation school because of his sexuality. He succumbed to the pressure from his family and the community to prove he was indeed a man.

He, however, did not have the best time away from home; his peers often ridiculed him for being weak. Some thought there was o need for him to waste his time in the mountains as he was not a real man.

Living in Johannesburg
The 25-year-old had to live in his home in Johannesburg in search of a more accommodating environment. “I did not want to be seen as a burden. My mother asked me to be who I am in Johannesburg but be a different person back home,” Ukhotembalethu Samela said.

His family rejected him and questioned the way he dressed. He was also abused by people who hated him when he was high.

“I feel I have to do more to prove I’m a man, and I think I’m doing that,” he said, leaving fellow Big Brother Mzansi housemates in tears.

A couple of housemates have already made their mark according to viewers of Big Brother Mzansi. Season three of Big Brother Mzansi has become a huge hit with South Africans as the show is trending on Twitter daily.

Viewers of the hit reality show missed the shower hours, the drama between the housemates and housemates falling for each other.

Mzansi was surprised last Wednesday when housemate QV exited the reality show because she wanted a safe space to talk to a therapist about her unresolved issues.

“The longer I am here, there is a [bigger] need for me to address it quickly”,

Here are the viewers’ fan favourites housemates so far:

Nale
24-year-old Pretorian model, Naledi Mogadime, aka Nale describes herself as a calm and zen “fine gyal, not a sad gyal”.

She is DJ and actress Thuli Phongolo’s favourite housemate after she tweeted about her and commended her class, sass and substance.

Themba
30-year-old Joburg tattoo artist, Themba Karabo Mabaso aka Lil Wayne is a fan favourite on Twitter and has been trending since the show started.

Big Brother Mzansi viewers are drawn to his authenticity and no-filters strategy.

Viewers are also attracted to him because he’s an enigma and often isolates himself from others.

Fans are also protective over him when the housemates “talk down” on him based on his accent when he speaks English.

Mpho
27-year-old Michelle Dimpho Mvundla, aka Mphowabadimo, is a sangoma from Daveyton.

She describes herself as outgoing, kind and no-nonsense person.

Viewers are divided between her and Nale, who were already at loggerheads this week.

Fans are also predicting some romance between her and her Big Brother Mzansi housemate Libo.

Viewers love her personality and are looking forward to some romance between the pair who have been spending a lot of time together.

Our Very Own Themba And Venus Dubbed “Tyga And Rihanna” Might Be Finding Something Bigger Than The Sweet Harmony.

With the Wager Task growing closer and the stakes being high, Themba and Venus have paired up to find a sweet harmony to their music, but is a sweet harmony all that these two will be finding? For now, we can only wonder!

Even though it’s subtle, there’s definitely chemistry between the two and one can’t ignore it. It must go beyond the singing that they do together because they seem to have much in common. The two of them are aligned in the way they think of the game. Venus has stated that she would rather observe and see how things play out in the House. Over here we would deem that as strategy play. As we are all aware, even the fans are convinced that the two are the underdogs and have displayed much talent in the show so far in!

Let’s take a look at Gash1 and Thato. Although at first it may have looked like Gash1’s ultimate ship goal was QV, he has now moved on to Thato. He has found small moments in the house to reach out to her. This was made evident by his much-noticed hand around her waist on the couch as the Housemates were busy with the task that Biggie had assigned them. Who’s fooling who here?

We can’t go without noticing the crush that Libo has on Naledi and the way he tries by all means to approach her. We wonder how far this will go since the HOH-Tulz may have his own eyes on her.

#BBMzansi: Mpho Dragged For Faking Exit

With barely a week in the Big Brother house, viewers have already identified their favourite housemate, and Mpho is one of them. So you can imagine the worry most people had when she announced her exit from the reality show, saying her calling is getting affected.

After Keamogwetse Motlhale, AKA QV, left the Big Brother house for her own mental health, Mphowabadimo thought it was okay to prank the housemates and viewers about her exit as well.

When she first announced that she was leaving, this prompted mixed reactions from viewers. Many of which applauded her for taking care of her mental health, but some slammed her and QV for leaving whereas other people would have gotten chosen. Selfish, is what some viewers labelled it seeing how more than 9000 people auditioned to be in Big Brother.

Mpho said she was pulling a stunt and was not really going to leave the house.

Here are some reactions:

Big Brother announced that QV was leaving and said they fully support her decision. In a statement, the channel said, “Big Brother Mzansi season 3 contestant QV leaves the house.

“Shirley Adonisi Director of Local Entertainment Channels hereby confirms that Keamogetswe Motlhale, one of the Big Brother Mzansi season 3 housemate known as ‘QV’, has taken the decision to leave the Big Brother house for personal reasons. QV has bid farewell to her fellow housemates and has also expressed her gratitude to the production team for the opportunity to be in the House A psychologist is working with her to ensure a smooth transition back into the outside world and guide her through her journey going forward. We wish her all the best on her journey and she has our full support.”

QV also let her fans know that they should learn from this and that their mental health comes first. Taking to her social media page, QV shared that what had become a childhood dream of hers, quickly turned into a mentally challenging competition, which forced her to choose her health.

While at the Big Brother house, she gave a speech to her housemates and thanked them for being ‘present’ and for opening themselves up fully, to experience this opportunity.

“I’m sure everyone noticed that I have been a little bit closed off…I’ve come to realise that I’m clearly struggling from something and as much as I would like to throw it behind and focus solely on knowing each and everyone of you, it’s not only affecting me mentally, I’m feeling it physically. So I will be leaving the game.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity which has always been my childhood dream and for that, I’ll never take the moments for granted. One thing you guys should take away from this is that, healing takes time,” she shared.

When the show announced their return, they crowned The River’s Lawrence Maleka as their host, “Just in time to heat up summer!! MultiChoice Group and Banijay are pleased to announce that the much-loved Big Brother Mzansi will be making its highly anticipated return to your screens soon, and it promises to be as exciting, entertaining and action-packed as ever. Big Brother Mzansi is one of 69 adaptations of the Big Brother format worldwide and this year marks 20 years since the first-ever Big Brother South Africa.”

#BBMzansi: Fans Want Mvelo Gone!

It’s only day 2 and Big Brother Mzansi viewers are already fed up with housemate Mvelo Ntuli. Reasons being they are just not catching his vibe, at all!

The 28-year-old marketing graduate is not in tweeps’ good books and it started just a few hours into day 1. According to tweeps, when they tune in to the show, Mvelo always seems to be holding a plate of food in his hand. “This Mvelo guy is just there to eat!” exclaimed one viewer. Another said, “Every time I see Mvelo… he’s holding a plate or eating.”

Apart from his eating habits, other housemates think Mvelo’s weird laughter is a huge turn off. Many have pointed out how he laughs almost all the time and lets out a chuckle after a few sentences.

Which might be understandable because people have their own coping mechanisms to deal with nerves, especially if you are Live on television 24/7.

Here are some reactions:

According to the Big Brother website, Mvelo has is a very vibrant person who worked in the media and communications space. As a person who laughs a lot like he does, Mvelo is said to be bubbly and very humorous.

Viewers have already pointed out their favourite housemates and not-so-favorite, i.e. Mvelo. Just day 2 in Big Brother’s house and viewers are already bored because for some they feel like the contestants are auditioning to be part of the entertainment industry. All they talk about it their dreams of making it big in the industry and nobody is letting out their true characters.
