South African actress Nelisa Mchunu popular for playing the role of Fikile on Uzalo, is set to come back on our TV screens again. On Uzalo, she

made waves after falling in love with Sbu – the role of Simphiwe Majozi, a relationship that kept the community of KwaMashu on their toes.

Tagged “Bonnie and Clyde,” the Sbu and Fikza relationship broke the hearts of many when Fikile excited the show in May 2021. Fikile’s farewell to Sbu left many in disbelief who anticipated a happily ever after since the pair went through a lot along with the storyline. Unfortunately, scriptwriters ignored the calls of many making the show unpredictable? Will Beyoncé – Fikile come back for Sbu? Only time will tell.

Soon after her exit on Uzalo, Nelisa made a brief appearance on SABC 1 soapie Generations The Legacy as a disgruntled client of #Ezweni. In the scene, she talked to #Ezweni CEO Tshidi Moroka (role played by Letoya Makhene), sending her fans into a frenzy.

In April, she opened a channel on her Instagram Account where she talks about any issues people go through, and she named it ‘The Safe Space.’

After dancing with the stars on Generations The Legacy, expectations for a permanent role are high amongst her legion of fans. Surely any cast could do with Nelisa’s bubbly character. Nicknamed the Queen Moroka of our generation because of her bubbly presence and her smile. She is tipped to replicate the fame of former Generations actress Sophie Ndaba who played the role of Queen Moroka on the old version of the soapie.

Recently, Nelisa announced her imminent return on our screens; she posted images of her movie scene shoot dressed in red nightwear, indicating a musical romantic drama film.

It’s coming soon; she captured the images. What are we expecting from her new gig? A character with the same Fikile traits or a different character – her versatility enables her to thrive and shine in every character.

The Indlovu hitmaker shared the reason why she is not ready for marriage life at the moment is because there is a lot that has to be ironed out before.

On the latest episode of The Unexpected, the mother of two explained how complex their situation is and there is a lot to deal with including their new baby, her parents and Kairo’s father AKA, before they could make any kind of commitment. Zinhle

“You can’t go ahead and make decisions without speaking to me. We don’t have marriage in our plans yet, we don’t have any of those things,” says DJ Zinhle. Our situation is not easy. We have to figure out how you will relate to Kairo’s father, Kairo and Asante. It’s a lot. So we need to take it one step at a time.” she said.

Bongani mentioned that Zinhle’s parents would be happy if they would get married however, Zinhle burst his bubble and reminded him that he is not marrying her parents.

“Babe, you’re not gonna marry my parents.” she said.

A concerned Bongani questioned the end goal of their relationship to which Zinhle confirmed that she is sure about her relationship with Bonagani but is against the idea of marriage in general does not want be forced into the decision because of their family pressurizing them into getting married.

“I’m sure, but that doesn’t mean I want to get married,” Zinhle said, adding that she felt as though Bongani was pushing the idea. Now I see you’re upset about it. I’m not saying I’m not gonna do it, I’m saying I need us to arrive to a decision together. We should not be pushed by a situation or family.” she said.

Zinhle’s statement was met with a lot of criticism on social media, and viewers expressed their heartbreak for Bongani who seems to be hoping to one day get married.

Mamlambo is rarely mentioned in Uzalo November teasers, which points out her imminent departure. It’s unknown, however, if the exit is temporary or permanent.

The kidnapping of baby Smangaliso set the stage for Mamlambo’s downfall as it will land the prophetess behind bars.

Behind the bust will be the popular gossip crew of Madongwe and Gladys ‘Ma Madlala’ who will unearth her secret.

Despite efforts to conceal the truth, the gossip brigade goes to MaMlambo’s house prepared to play the detective roles and overstay their welcome. Madongwe dialed Mamlambo’s phone number to prove if she really had a crying baby ringing tone. The mystery babe will prompt the two to report the matter to the police.

Ever since MaNgcobo’s exit on Uzalo, Nkunzi was tipped to rekindle his love with MaMlambo. Chances of MaMlambo – Nkunzi reunion is buried in the rubble as he is already under Gabisile’s love charm.

Gugu Gumede is rumoured to have dumped Uzalo and join politics to follow her mother’s dream. Gugu is set to follow her mother Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi’s footsteps, the late Inkatha Freedom Party Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

Gumede’s Uzalo departure is also motivated by the rise of her interior décor company Ngunikazi Interiors as she has been quoted saying it has become hectic to manage her on-screen life and the business.

Slain Bafana Bafana Captain, Senzo Meyiwa, still lives in the hearts of many South African’s. This is why the fact that his case has still not been concluded, breaks many of his fan’s hearts. The recent developments though point out that there is some progress being made by the justice system – and it is only a matter of time.

According to several reports, Fisokuhle Ntuli, a hired hitman has carried out several hits before and Senzo Meyiwa was one of them. The guilty verdict was made on Monday at the Esikhaleni Regional Court in Richards Bay. This according to Eyewitness News.

Ntuli is allegedly charged with six counts of murder, one for attempted murder and another four counts for the usage of an unlicensed firearm.

This hitman’s killing spree has now ended, but still Senzo Meyiwa’s fans and family still demand answers. He will be sentenced later this year.

On social media fans are still adding their two cent opinions after this news was made public knowledge.

Senzo Meyiwa was dating the mother of his child Kelly Khumalo when he met his untimely demise. Many fingers have been pointing at Kelly’s direction but the singer has always gone above and beyond to defend herself. A few months back, documents were leaked which implied that Kelly was also under the NPA’s radar and had been trying to access her cellphone records.

Through her lawyer’s Kelly said she is not a suspect, “Our client notes the recent developments of which at this sad time allowed her the opportunity to remain private in the best interest of herself and children especially that of the daughter she has with Mr. Meyiwa.”

“We wish to place it on record that our client is not implicated nor charged in this matter and is therefore not a suspect,” the statement concluded.

The last time Kelly spoke about Senzo Meyiwa was on her reality show Life With Kelly Khumalo. She spoke about how he betrayed her by not mentioning that he was married when they dated. Together they made beautiful Thingo who is 7-years-old.

Kelly spoke about how she found out that Senzo was married when she was 3 months into her pregnancy with Thingo, her second born.

This hurt her so much that she ended up lacking trust not only with their relationship, but with human beings in general. Kelly does not trust a single soul and it’s all because of her past experiences.

“The biggest thing is I don’t have trust. I just don’t trust human beings period. Because I’ve gone through this with my late boyfriend where I was lied to and I only found out that this man was married when I was 3 months into my pregnancy,” she said.

She had also spoken about her past relationship with presenter Jub Jub saying she is tired of reaching him, “I’ve tried and when Christian gets older he will know. I mean his old enough to remember that I did mention certain things with him because I was trying to make an effort for him to have a father in his life. I am washing my hands. I have had enough. This whole father thing is an issue. Christian’s father is not making an effort. My father is also not making an effort,” added Kelly. “Also with my dad. Everything is fizzled out. And, I’m at the point where I’m like – it’s right now. I don’t care anymore.”

    The EFF has displayed outside of governance the superiority of its policy perspectives, to a point where political parties implement as a result of our pressure.

These range from the insourcing of workers in Johannesburg to the parliamentary process to amend Section 25 of the constitution to allow the expropriation of land without compensation.

We have led the removal of corrupt mayors and municipal managers across the country, ensuring that those who rob our people of services are brought to book.

These policies were implemented by the ruling party and the official opposition, respectively, a clear indication that the EFF is the only organization that has the interests of the people at heart.

  1. How do you intend to cut municipalities’ costs such as excessive salaries, vehicle allowances, staff complements, and the like?
    The EFF intends to cut excessive municipal costs by doing away with labour brokering and tendering and ensuring that municipalities have internal capacity to perform functions.

The first act will be to do a skills audit and remove all of those who were employed inappropriately and without due process, to cut the bloated wage bill that was easing factional differences in the ruling party.

After that, we will build internal capacity to provide vehicles and financial services and remove parasitic consultants and tender providers.

  1. How will you hold your local government representatives accountable? (How will they report to the people?)
    EFF councillors will remain accountable to the people by holding regular community meetings to receive mandates and report back on work done.

  2. People are broke and battling to pay their municipal bills, unemployment is at a record high. What are your plans to stimulate the local economy and, help ratepayers meet their obligations?
    The problem with municipalities in South Africa is that they want to sustain themselves through rates, whereas the majority of society is too poor to afford paying them.

The local economy can therefore only be stimulated through decentralizing economic and social development and maximising industrialisation according to the economic capacities of special economic zones.

This will create jobs and stimulate the local economy.

  1. What are your 100 days in office goals?
    The EFF goals… will be guided by the communities and their faith in us to either governor be an opposition.

Letoya has previously shared some of the challenges she has faced since accepting her calling.

People who have absolutely no understanding of even their own journey and where it is taking them have chosen to play God and point fingers at me. Well, I have chosen to follow my heart and sometimes I have made bad choices. But in everything that I’ve done, I’ve always been true to myself. I’ve always lived in my truth.

Letoya is not the only one in the family with an ancestral calling. Her father Dr Blondie Makhene is also a healer. In a separate post, the actress is elated that she as Umkhilu Butinyana gets to share her journey and jam with her father Umkhulu Phillip.

“I literally sometimes wake up and pinch myself that I get to just jam with you like whenever.”

“He’s my brother in Spirit, but he is still my Daddy,” she wrote.

The Braai Show has been on everyone’s lips since it premiered. The first season of the show in 2020 was hosted by award-winning rapper AKA, and it was a huge success. Recently, it got renewed for a second season which is now hosted by his sworn enemy Cassper Nyovest but the viewership has dropped.

Cassper hosts prominent celebrities and faces on his Braai Show With Cass to provide viewers with a unique glimpse into the intriguing personalities’ lives. Together, they enjoy good food and good company.

According to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, the show isn’t able to match its 2.2 million debut ratings since its premiere. This means that Cassper has not been able to raise the standard high like AKA did.

When AKA presented the show he racked in more than 2.8 million viewers but Cassper has pulled in average numbers.

Tweeps have reacted to the show decline in viewership and they are not impressed.

@umalambane_zn “If we being honest Casspers personality isn’t entertaining, they probably forgot to put that into the picture. AKA’s energy is just entertaining even when he’s being rude and arrogant. Cassper deserves something like Khumbulekhaya cos he’s most good at drawing pity and sorrow.

AKA, Makhaducom Media and Cake Media were recently involved in a legal battle over AKA’s exclusion from the second season. The rapper claimed he owns 50% of the show. He tried to stop it from airing but he did not succeed. He released a statement sating:

“By now as you are aware, The Braai Show goes to air tonight on SABC 1. This matter for me has always been about business principles and asserting my legal rights to my intellectual property and a binding contractual clause that clearly states that myself and MakhuduCom are equal partners to the Braai Show.

“When I took a personal decision on May 13, to step back from public engagements and day to day business, to heal. I personally engaged all my business partners, advising of this and my continued commitment to these partnerships. Never did I foresee a partnership with such personal connections and affiliations would be one to betray me like this.” Partly read the statement.
