Following the release of Priddy’s sophormore album, Soil, the rapper shared a clip of himself rapping.

What caught Ntsiki’s attention was the smoke in the video, which made her assume the rapper was smoking in the video.

Upon stumbling on the video, Ntsiki who is famously known for being outspoken took the opportunity to speak about male privilege when it cones to smoking.

She said if women smoked, it would have been a different story.

“Male privilege is nice….. Thina they call us names for smoking,” Ntsiki said.

In response, Priddy calmly told her it’s a sage and not him smoking.

“I feel you sis, and that’s unfortunate, it isn’t fair – you’re re right. However the only thing smoking in this video is the sage,” she said.

Jacob Zuma’s life is at significant risk, will take 6 months to treat him – SANDF medical boss

A high-level military doctor has told prison and prosecuting authorities that Jacob Zuma suffered a “traumatic injury” late last year and now needs “extensive emergency treatment” and six months of care to restore his health.

Zuma is married to four women and has an estimated number of 23 children whom he sired with a total of 15 women. He has been married a total number of six times, but remains married to four women as one of his spouses died, and he divorced another. However, according to government records, he is officially married to the only woman he divorced.

Zuma has over the years courted so much controversy including fathering 23 children and impregnating at least 15 women including daughters of his friends as well as dating girls 50 years younger than him. Zuma has had unpro_tected sex with several daughters of his close friends, impregnating some in the process. One of them is his baby’s mother, Sonona Khoza, who is the daughter of powerful soccer businessman, Dr Irvin Khoza, the Orlando Pirates chairman, who Zuma is not married to.

Meanwhile, in an as yet unsigned affidavit served on Zuma’s lawyers and the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg on Monday, prosecutor Billy Downer has made it clear that the State isn’t satisfied with the “vague generalities” contained in Brigadier General Dr Mcebisi Zukile Mdutywa’s submissions, which could have major implications for the future of the Zuma corruption trial.

The former president was hospitalised last week while serving a 15-month jail term for defying a Constitutional Court ruling that he should appear before the State Capture Inquiry. The apex court is expected to rule on Zuma’s application for a rescission of that judgment in the coming days.

Zuma’s lawyers were this morning scheduled to begin arguing his application for a “special plea” in the arms deal-linked corruption case against him, in which he stands accused of receiving R4.2 million in benefits from his former financial advisor, Schabir Shaik, in exchange for furthering Shaik’s business interests. Zuma also faces charges of accepting a R500 000 a year bribe from French arms company Thales, as a bribe for protecting it from any potential Arms Deal investigation.

In his special plea, Zuma is now due to argue that he should be acquitted of all of these charges, because the entire National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is too biased to prosecute him.

‘EXTENSIVE MEDICAL EVALUATION AND CARE’

Following Zuma’s hospitalization last week, Mdutywa wrote to the head of the Estcourt Correctional Services centre to inform her that Zuma had been “put under active care and support after he suffered a traumatic injury” on 28 November 2020.

Mdutywa, who leads the South African Military Health Service’s Presidential Medical Unit, then formally informed prison authorities and the NPA in KwaZulu-Natal that Zuma had been admitted to hospital last week and was “undergoing extensive medical evaluation and care”.

This, he said, was “as a result of his condition that that needed an extensive emergency procedure that has been delayed for 18 months due to compounding legal matters and recent incarceration and cannot be delayed any further as it carries a significant risk to his life”.

“The medical team is actively monitoring his progress and will inform you soon as to the prognosis and outcome thereof through a medical report,” he said.

Mdutywa added: “We trust that the court processes will accommodate this urgent health program such that we can be able to work swiftly to restore his health. The minimum proposed period of care is six months during which periodic reports will be communicated to advise on the possible availability of any further engagements on your end.”

Mdutywa’s submissions strongly suggest that Zuma, who is eligible for release on parole after less than four months, will not be moved back to jail any time soon.

Downer has however said the State wasn’t happy with the lack of detail contained in Mdutywa’s submissions – specifically in relation to Zuma’s “condition”, the “extensive emergency procedure” he would need to undergo and the “minimum proposed period of care of six months”.

Despite these misgivings, Downer said the NPA would support the Zuma legal team’s planned application for a short postponement of the case against him this morning – if it was “supported by an affidavit by a medical practitioner treating the first accused (Zuma)”.

Should Zuma seek a second postponement after this one, the State also wants that application to be supported by the testimony “of a medical practitioner treating him, who may be cross-examined by the State” – a demand that the defence has agreed to.

REBUTTING EVIDENCE

The State will also be able to lead rebutting evidence from witnesses during this process.

If such a hearing goes ahead, it’ll be the first time that Zuma’s medical condition – which he has previously used to explain his absence from State Capture Inquiry hearings and his trial – will be interrogated in an open court process.

Whether Zuma is prepared to allow details about his health to be disclosed, however, remains to be seen.

Zuma’s foundation had previously claimed that his hospitalisation was nothing to be alarmed about “yet”, as he was “attending to his annual medical routine check-up”. A day later, it stated that it was awaiting a report from Zuma’s doctors and asked the public to “keep him in your prayers”.

Downer has now revealed that the head of the Estcourt Correctional Centre last week sent a WhatsApp message to State advocate Deneshree Naicker, informing her that Zuma the had been “emergently (sic) referred to outside hospital due to his medical condition last night”.

According to Downer, Naicker was contacted by Acting Regional Commissioner of Correctional Services in KwaZulu-Natal Kenneth Mthombeni, the following day. Mthombeni told Naicker that Zuma would not be brought to court as he was currently hospitalised in Pretoria.

As yet, it remains unclear in which hospital Zuma is being treated.

Doctor’s letter doesn’t identify Jacob Zuma’s medical condition, says State

The State said that it was battling to understand a doctor’s letter submitted to the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Tuesday as part of an argument calling for the postponement of the case against former President Jacob Zuma.

Zuma and French arms company, Thales, face corruption, fraud, racketeering, and money laundering charges linked to the arms deal. Their case was moved to 9 September due to the former president’s hospitalization.

The State’s Wim Trengove said that they were completely in the dark about former President Jacob Zuma’s medical condition, which has been used to justify yet another postponement of the case against him and Thales.

“The doctor’s letter doesn’t identify the medical condition of which he suffers at all, and says quite perplexingly, that it was a condition that has required extensive emergency procedures, which have been delayed for 18 months,” Trengrove said.

However, Zuma’s lawyer Dali Mpofu has defended the contents of the letter, saying that it would not have been acceptable for the doctor to divulge confidential information about Zuma’s medical condition.

Meanwhile, the Pietermaritzburg High Court has ordered that it must receive Zuma’s medical report by Friday next week to ascertain his fitness to stand trial.

The State is also expected to appoint a medical practitioner who will conduct an independent assessment on Zuma’s health and testify on his or her findings.

The Braai Show producers set record straight on AKA and Cassper deal

SABC1 recently announced season two of the popular food series, “The Braai Show”, however instead of rapper AKA returning as the host, Cassper Nyovest has been given the leading position.

In it’s first season the show did incredibly well, racking up more than 2 million viewers each week, placing it in the top 20 league.

Now along with an announcement of the show’s new season and host came a lot of uncertainty as to why AKA’s arch music rivalry Cassper has been given the hosting job.

AKA via his legal team claimed that he still owned 50% of the show’s intellectual property, however Cake Media and MakhuduCom who say they are the sole executive producers of “The Braai Show” cleared up the air on the issue.

“Kiernan Forbes (AKA) plays no role in season two.

As a business, the executive producers have a duty to deliver maximum value for viewers, broadcasters and advertisers.

“To this end, it is their mandate and prerogative to secure the most appropriate talent, evolve the show, secure funding and deliver a compelling product to audiences,” says a statement sent to IOL Entertainment.

Although the joint statement did not stipulate reasons as to why AKA was not apart of the show anymore it said: “Due to various reasons they have had to pivot the show and solicit a new host in an effort to ensure success.

“AKA plays no role in season two.

“Cassper Nyovest is the new host of ’The Braai Show’ and the executive producers believe audiences are going to enjoy what they have in store this time around,” it says.

“The Braai Show” is currently in production, filming under strict Covid-19 precautions.

The multi-award-winning rapper will spend time around the fire and prepare delicious meals for Mzansi’s most loved personalities.

Each week, Cassper and his guest pick a spot to set-up a braai, enjoy good food and a saucier conversation.

The show will give the viewers the opportunity to experience the other side of their favourite musician as he chats with his guests over food in a more relaxed manner.

“With my new sneaker range I wanted to give people a taste of how it feels to be me.

“I want to explore this even further on ’The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest’.

“Not only will I try and get guests to reveal things people didn’t know about them, but I also want to show my fans a different side to my public persona.

“And, while I may not be a braai master, I’m pretty handy cooking on the coals.

“It’s going to be fun,” said Cassper.

Producer David Phume said: “Viewers have been asking for more and we are delighted to be back with a new season fronted by Cassper.

“He is one of the country’s most successful artists and his Fill Up The Dome concerts are legendary.

“However, with ’The Braai Show’, viewers are going to see a different side to this musical genius.

“Expect some not-to-be-missed sizzling fun and conversations.”
