Independent Media says Sithole asked to give babies up for adoption #Tembisa10

Independent Media said Gosiame Sithole was promised the full cost of a private hospital delivery if she agreed to put her ten babies up for adoption. The group outlined details of its investigations earlier on Wednesday.

“At all times she was told, because of the fact that she had eight babies at the time, according to the scans – she will deliver in a private hospital and that the full cost will be paid by these doctors provided that she gave the babies up for adoption,” said Dr Iqbal Surve, Executive Chair of Independent Media. We know of all the doctors involved, every single time she went to visit them at each of these hospitals. The group also said its investigation revealed that the Tembisa decuplets were trafficked.

According to the group, Sithole gave birth to 10 babies at Tembisa Hospital. They say two of the infants died due to negligence and that the rest were kidnapped by a Nigerian doctor.

“What we discovered was really devastating,” Surve said. We uncovered horrific stories of how these babies are trafficked from Gauteng to Mpumalanga, to West Africa, Europe and [the] United States.

Independent Media said it will be publishing a documentary series outlining the disappearance of the Tembisa decuplets. Surve said the documentary will reveal the names of all the officials involved in the trafficking of the babies.

In the post she shared, she put a rehabilitation hospital that she had checked in on blast for bad service.

Giving her fans a sneak peek inside the rehab, Skolopad said she had to sleep on the chair because her bed was too flat.

“Slept on the chair with my multiple fractured because the bed was too flat, they can only arrange it the next day but they arranged it during the night because I opted to sleep on the chair which I did and I’m still on the chair,” she said.

The singer said she was also mistreated by the nurses.

She explained, “I ask for water to drink from 6 pm during supper nix until I drunk water from the toilet just to be able to drink my treatment, then 10 pm they gave me 500ml of H2O with my heart condition I don’t drink water after 8 pm I just said no thank you.”

Entertainer Skolopad has left the rehab centre she was admitted to on Monday, 25 October. She stayed only a day at the centre she checked into after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder for the second time.

The entertainer, whose real name is Nonhlanhla Qwabe, was meant to be in the centre for up to three weeks.

She took to Instagram on Tuesday, 26 October to share about her bad experience in the centre.

She posted photos of the place and said she slept on a chair.“This is the rehab or mental health institution I came to and my medical aid will be paying. How they calm me down ‘Siyaqala, maybe next time when you come kuzobe kuright’, while I’ll be paying for staying here,” said Skolopad.

She said the nurses had an attitude problem and that they told her she loved attention and drama.

Skolopad told Daily Sun she left the centre and will be checked into a new one on Thursday.

“I have just signed out, I am going back home. I wasn’t happy with the condition of the place. They were undermining us. They have Zulu-speaking people working there and people from QwaQwa are forced to speak IsiZulu. I’ve never been in such a depressive space. I went there all excited and I was disappointed, so I signed a refusal of hospital treatment and left. But my psychologist was great,” said Skolopad.

DA Joburg mayoral candidate accuses Sanral of not paying electricity bill

THE DA’s mayoral candidate for the City of Joburg, Mpho Phalatse, has accused the South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) of owing City Power plenty of money for unpaid electricity supply to its e-tolls gantries.

On Tuesday Phalatse said she was going to switch off the electricity supply to the gantries if she is elected mayor after November 1 local government elections. Should I be elected to serve as mayor of Joburg after these elections, I intend on being a responsible mayor for the residents by ensuring effective service delivery,” Phalatse said.

She said her party has been informed that the SA National Roads Agency (Sanral), the custodian of the e-Tolls system and their gantries across the province, were currently in arrears with City Power. Where gantries exist in City Power supply areas, City Power is currently supplying them with electricity.

“But with Sanral in arrears, it means the City of Joburg is not receiving revenue for this service, and the cost to keep these gantries on is being footed to the residents of Joburg,” she said. Phalatse said should the DA be elected to govern Joburg, it would switch off the electricity supply to e-toll gantries in City Power supply areas such as on William Nicol Drive and in Rivonia, effectively collapsing the e-toll system in strategic nodes, based on non-payment by Sanral.

We cannot allow the residents of Joburg to suffer any further from a shortage of services, because the national government is failing to take responsibility and pay their bills. It is unfair for local governments to bail out national government at the expense of service delivery.

The non-payment by Sanral short-changes City Power with much-needed revenue to fix ageing and broken-down infrastructure. Reacting to the allegations, City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena said it was incorrect to suggest that the power utility was not collecting revenue from Sanral or the e-toll gantries Sanral’s account is up to date, save for the few queries.

“In total Sanral has 25 accounts for its different installations with City Power, billed through the City of Joburg, and to date R42 million accounts in arrears have been collected from Sanral. So far only 4 accounts are outstanding out of 25 accounts totalling R3.4 million. Those 4 accounts, which don’t go beyond three months, are being queried for a resolution,” Mangena said.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has concluded his community meetings in Inanda, north of Durban on Tuesday, once again promising better governance.

The party leader previously mentioned that the EFF’s main priority in KwaZulu-Natal is eThekwini.

While addressing those gathering in Inanda in a bid to convince them to vote for the party, he said if given the vote, he would give better service delivery.

“We want to restore the dignity of our people. We want to give you jobs in eThekwini, whether you’ve got matric or not.”

Malema also said load shedding may be used as an attempt to cheat during the counting of votes.

“They’re going to switch off the light, and when they switch off the lights, they are swapping the boxes. They will bring the boxes [with ballots] that they themselves voted on.”
