Makhadzi Accused of Stealing

Makhadzi has been accused of helping herself to someone else’s music video concept. According to the Sowetan, Amapiano artist Thabza Berry was left shell-shocked when she saw similarities between Makhadzi’s Ghanama music video and her own forma song called Piano Culture

According to the publication, the 19-year-old believes the Limpopo starlet stoke her concept. However, Makhadzi’s team has refuted the claims. Lionel Jamela, from Khadzi’s record label reportedly said

“This artist must focus on her craft. She must not try to get publicity by using my artist’s [Makhadzi] name. If you want fame, you must go back to studio and work harder.”

Looking at the two videos, there are notable similarities. Both videos are filmed on a sports court, albeit for different types of sports. However, the biggest red flag is that both videos used the same male dancers, who the Sowetan identified as Limpopo Boy and Rush Mabanana. Coincidence? You be the judge.

star Somizi Mhlongo responds after Mohale exposed all dirty secrets

Mzansi star Somizi Mhlongo has found himself in the midst of a storm after his partner made damning claims into their published marriage. His soon-to-be-ex, Mohale spared no shorts as he lifted the lid on marriage from hell that he was subjected to while with Somizi.

In his response, Somizi wrote:

Mohale Motaung alleges that three weeks into their relationship, Somizi Mhlongo threatened him with a knife.

Mohale Motaung and Somizi Mhlongo were anything besides the happy couple many people once thought they were: According to a local publication, Motaung makes some stunning revelations, which could explain his decision to leave the couple’s marital home last year.

The tabloid has cited an interview Mohale apparently did with producers of his husband’s reality show, Living the Dream with Somizi.

Remember their star-studded and lavish wedding that was televised? Mohale was reportedly terrified of Somizi when they exchanged their vows. He has accused Somizi of being extremely violent – in one incident, Mohale claims his husband broke his ribs and two teeth in a rage at their home.

That’s not all: The publication is also reporting that Mohale Motaung claims just three weeks into their relationship, Somizi Mhlongo threatened him with a knife. At the time, Motaung had apparently spent the night at a friend’s place and when he went back home, found the Idols SA judge waiting for him.

Mhlongo then questioned him about where he had spent the night. In response, Motaung said their relationship was too new for him to ask such questions, upsetting Mhlongo even more.

“I took my keys and walked out, he took a knife. I was about to exit, so he said to me, ‘if you exit… I’m going to kill us both.’ So I took my keys and ran. He grabbed the knife and said ‘if you walk out, I’m going to stab you.’ Now I see a different person. I was sh*t scared and walked back into the house. He said ‘let’s talk.’ He cried and we moved on,” the media outlet quoted Motaung as having said.

According to the publication, Motaung also says in the interview that he wants nothing from his estranged husband, except that he replace a car that he damaged. The couple are apparently married in community of property.

In response, Somizi has decided to keep his quiet and will most probably make an official response via his lawyers.

NYTT member Sizophila Mkhize condemned for racist remarks

The African National Congress (ANC) condemned what it called the racist remarks made by National Youth Task Team Spokesperson Sizophila Mkhize, calling her comment about Indians in KwaZulu-Natal unacceptable.

The party said it noted a video recording in which Mkhize makes derogatory and racist remarks directed at people of Indian descent in the province, which was rocked by violent riots and racial tensions last month.

ANC National Spokesperson Pule Mabe said the utterances made by Mkhzie have brought the party into disrepute and necessary disciplinary processes will be undertaken.

Mabe added the situation in KwaZulu-Natal demanded decisive and responsible leadership.

A few hours after the party released its statement, Mkhize posted a tweet captioned in isiZulu saying “we will not stop fighting”.

Unfortunate that Jacob Zuma is behind bars, no one is celebrating, says Minister Nzimande

South African Communist Party (SACP) General Secretary Blade Nzimande said while it was painful to see former President Jacob Zuma behind bars, the laws of the country must be respected.

Nzimande was speaking during a webinar on the 100th birthday celebration of the SACP.

The formation of the Communist Party took place on 30 July at a conference in Cape Town in 1921.

Nzimande spent about 15 minutes of his centenary message speaking about the recent spate of unrest in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng and the arrest of Zuma.

Nzimande, a former Zuma ally, said those who were behind the violence were clear in their intentions.

“The first objective was to prevent his going to jail and then when they were caught by surprise, they then attempted to secure his immediate release. It is indeed unfortunate that a leader like Jacob Zuma is behind bars. No one is celebrating.”

Nzimande also launched a scathing attack on the so-called RET grouping, known to be led by pro-Zuma supporters.

“It is really a large network of opportunistic people themselves facing the prospects of jail time and relying on riches acquired through the looting of public resources.”

He also spoke about the SACP‘s support for President Cyril Ramaphosa’s leadership, saying his agenda of clean governance must be applauded.
