Somizi Mhlongo’s ex-husband and now media personality Mohale Motaung is being called out for having love for rich people. Motaung’s marriage to Mhlongo ended abruptly and left a bitter taste to many of their followers.

Mohale posted a picture of singer Makhadzi and her boyfriend singer and music producer Master KG. In the picture Motaung called the pair his ‘fave’. One tweep did not mince their words and called him out for liking ‘rich people’.

Even when Motaung was still married to Somizi Mhlongo. Fans have always insinuated that he was in the relationship for money and fame. Motaung who comes from humble beginnings met Mhlongo at the launch of his book ‘Dominoes’ back then in 2017.

They have been inseparable ever since. And it was not long before they were celebrated as Mzansi’s favorite couple. The pair went on to tie a knot in a lavish traditional ceremony in September 2019. The following year, January, 2020, Motaung and Mhlongo had their white wedding which was nothing short of rich, expensive, and magical.

There was no looking back for Motaung after that as the entertainment industry opened up to him. He bagged acting gigs, signed endorsements and he also added ‘influencer’ to his name. But when allegations of abuse against Motaung were made public.

The couple became estranged and it was downhill from there. Mhlongo who was accused of the abuse was halted from many of his jobs and he took a hard knock as he lost to one of biggest checks from Idols SA. Both Motaung and Mhlongo have since gone their separate ways and living their best lives. Whether or not they have seen each other since then, that is the biggest elephant in the room.

Actress Sannah Mchunu took to her social media to express her gratitude after Mohale Motaung gifted her flowers.

Taking to Twitter, Mohale penned down an appreciation message to the actress admiring her talent.

Responding to the post, Sannah who currently plays the role of Zodwa on Gomora took Mohale’s post and shared it with her fans thanking him for the shoutout.

Many of her fans also appreciated her talent and hope to see more from her.

Mohale Motaung reveals more about his Marriage

Actor and Businessman Mohale Motaung has made another shocking confession about his marriage. The radio presenter revealed that he was dizzy during his marriage with the TV and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo, this after a tweep dragged him for reacting to the price of a toaster saying it made him dizzy.

The pair reportedly broke up in 2019. In the audio that was leaked last year in August, Mohale revealed that he experienced physical and psychological abuse in their relationship. He said Somizi started abusing him just a few weeks into the relationship.

In a statement, Mohale said he never intended to have the private details of his marriage exposed in public or to harm Somizi’s image.

He said the conversations heard in the audio were privileged and he trusted the person he was engaging with. He added, “I never imaged that my turmoil would be exploited in this manner. Since the release of the conversations, I find myself stripped of my agency and the right I had previously reserved to tell my story when I was ready.” I did in fact experience abuse at the hands of my estranged husband both physical and psychological. It is not my wish to seesaw my experience against his as he only has his conscience to reckon with.

Mohale Motaung pleads with Mzansi for help

Actor and Businessman Mohale Motaung has taken to his social media platforms to ask for assistance. Mohale said he is trying to help a family from Uitenhage, in the Eastern Cape, that lost everything when their house burnt down. He said they want to help the family with the kids’ school uniform, stationery, household supplies, food, beds, blankets, and other necessities.

He added, “The family has suffered a great deal and are currently living in temporary accommodation. We are also looking to rebuild their home with the help of contractors and the community. So while this is an unusual request, I’m appealing to my followers to assist in doing more for this family. Any assistance is welcome.

Mohale shared that the fire incident left a three-year-old baby badly injured. He also shared details for anyone who would love to help. He wrote, “If you are interested in assisting, please contact my team on 068 066 0834. I’d like to thank you in advance as I’m sure you will find it in your heart to be a blessing to this family. I’m grateful I can make this appeal to you. Thank you.

Mohale and his team through his foundation, have been doing a remarkable job assisting underprivileged primary school pupils with school shoes and other necessities.

In 2020 he donated R200 000 in food vouchers to 50 families together with his estranged husband Somizi Mhlongo through their Somhale foundation. The pair shared that they started the foundation with an aim of “changing the world, one person at a time.

“We came up with this amazing idea where we decided to start a foundation, and we call it the Somhale Foundation, and our aim is to make this world a better place one person at a time.

“We’re giving away R500 worth of vouchers that we bought at Makro so that they can buy themselves groceries, and we’ve chosen 400 families,” Somizi said in a video that was shared on Instagram.
