Actress Sophie Ndaba has been called a “witch”, “thief” and other ugly names by her sister-in-law as the two families butt heads over her son’s song in which he is accusing her estranged husband of cheating and physically abusing the thespian.

The actress’ estranged hubby, Max Moeketsi Lichaba, has also sent a letter of demand to the wedding planner, demanding that her son Lwandle Ndaba apologise and retract the “defamatory” and “hurtful” lyrics of the song titled My Step-father is a Devil – Mr Max Lichaba.

In Whatsapp messages sent to Lwandle, Lichaba’s sister Aiso Lichaba instructed the music student to “remove” the ditty and threatened to spill the beans on the former Generations actress’ “stealing ways” if he did not comply to her demands.

“Look here b@tch… that is my brother you are singing rubbish about. Did you ask that stupid mother of yours what she did to Moeketsi? You Satan, who do you think you and your witch mother are?” reads a Whatsapp message.

Aiso also said Lwandle and the former Isidingo actress were struggling to make ends meet when the Kwa-lichaba chisanyama owner came to their rescue.

Lwandle stood his ground and told her that the tune was exposing to the public the true reflection of what happened in Lichaba and his mother’s turbulent marriage.

The businessman’s relative, Prince, also entered the fray and threatened Lwandle.

“You are a small boy, you don’t know what you are starting … before you provoke war,” he wrote.

Lichaba also moved the battle to a higher gear when his lawyers, Len Dekker Attorneys, wrote to Lwandle on Monday demanding that he retract the song and apologize to him before Tuesday. He threatened to obtain a high court interdict against Lwandle if he failed to do so, arguing that the allegations are devoid of truth.

“Our client have [sic] not raised nor been involved in any form of physical violence towards his erstwhile spouse. No allegation nor evidence suggest that our client was involved in extra-marital affairs pre judicing his erstwhile spouse nor any form of family violence whatsoever,” reads the letter.

He also denied that he was the reason Ndaba plunged into depression.

“The wrong impression and/ or allegation and/or defaming publication implies that our client used your mother, Sophie Ndaba’s fame and money, to advance his business interests, whereas both parties have acknowledged and agreed their standing and interest from inception of the marital relationship. Accordingly, the submission is not only false but aimed at specifically implying that our client misused his marital relationship to your mother.

“It is, therefore, our instructions to demand, as we hereby do, that you withdraw the publication of the aforementioned song with immediate effect and confirm in writing an unequivocal apology for any negative aspersions and/or inference that can be drawn and/or defamatory statements made in the said song by close of business on Tuesday, 17 August 2021, failing which our client shall have no alternative other than to approach a court for an interdict against you for further publication of the song.”

Lwandle had neither retracted the song nor apologized at the time of printing.

Ndaba declined to comment, while Lichaba’s phone rang unanswered.

Aiso said though she insulted Ndaba in a fit of rage, she would not apologize to her because she too has done bad things to her and Lichaba.

“We will reveal everything to the public whenever we are ready to do so. Right now we are not ready to say anything to the media ,” she said.

Actress Sophie Ndaba had the sweetest words to share with her daughter Rudo on her birthday, gushing over how far the mother-daughter duo have come.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sophie penned a birthday letter for her daughter sharing how becoming a mom at a young age meant they grew together.

“When you were born I was just a young girl. Not sure what mommyhood was all about. Growing up together brought my best friend closer,” said Sophie.

The star went on to say that her daughter’s prayers kept her strong through the difficult times.

“I will never stop thanking you for praying for me more than you did for yourself. Mommy is here because you too sent a word to God.” she said.

She also had some advice for her daughter. Reminding Rudo that she loves her, the star told her baby girl to always keep God in her heart.

“I love you, I treasure you. I know God is yet to reveal more on your destiny. Continue to keep him as your no. 1 always,” said Sophie.

Her son Lwandle “Ocean L” Ndaba went viral after posting a diss track taking aim at Sophie’s estranged husband Max Lichaba.

Max Lichaba wants Sophie’s son Lwandle Ndaba to stay in his lane and not meddle in grown-up’s business. This is after Lwandle made a shocking diss track called ‘My Step Dad A Devil’, where he spills the beans on his mother’s marital problems.

In addition to the new song, Lwandle also sent out a press release where he backs his lyrics by giving shocking accounts of Sophie Ndaba’s alleged toxic marriage.

Upon listening to the track, Max Lichaba broke his silence saying he never abused a woman in his life, and would not start with Sophie. Max spoke to TshisaLive and said he and Sophie had been in a loveless marriage for as long as he could remember.

He admitted to cheating saying he is in search of the right woman, and Sophie was not that woman. They had, unfortunately, fell out of love.

“My marriage for a very long time, there was no marriage. I’m not a monster, I’ve never been a monster. Yes maybe, as women go through certain men to find the perfect man, I’ve been doing that. I’ve been going through two or three people to find ‘Miss Right’ and that doesn’t make me a monster,” he told the publication.

He then added that Lwandle should stay in his own lane, “I raised the boy. I still have much love for him and I hope he can leave grown people’s business and focus on his talent in music,” Max said, adding all the things he has done for him out of love.

Max had previously told a local publication that he has women in his life, so he does not see himself abusing Sophie. Even though he admitted to cheating, he denied the abuse allegations

“First, I am not going to comment on this song, what I can tell you is I have never in my life beaten up a woman and I am not about to do that as I have kids who are girls and I have a sister too. My matter with Sophie is at the high court for divorce and that is all I can say,” he told the publication.

He also added, “I am not sure who will ever in my family want to harm the child I raised and took to school with my own money; the child I taught how to drive a car. When he was sick, I would take him to the doctor. I do not think any of my family will want to do that to him or Sophie,” he responded.

In his statement after the diss track, Lwandle said he shad respected his mothers’ decision to suffer in silence for far too long, but he could no longer keep it to himself. He said he started having bad dreams which resulted in him finally using his craft of making music to “expose” his stepfather.

“As a child witnessing the painful past few years, I have found a way to channel my pain and frustration after watching my mother’s health and finances go on a downward spiral due to the actions of her significant other, my stepfather Mr Max Lichaba. I saw the journey that my mother went through and I am expressing my feelings through music as I study music performance. I was hurt and I experienced trauma.”

“The hardest part about watching the events unfold was that I was not able to help her because I was supportive of her decision to remain silent. My silence was channeled into a song that I composed out of fear and frustration at the hands of my stepfather. I recently started getting nightmares and kept them to myself until one night I just decided to turn my pain to song. Hence this song now. I am no longer able to be a silent bystander due to the threats received by myself and my family despite keeping the peace. In a country where gender-based violence is a plague, I do not wish to wait for my mother to become a statistic at the hands of my stepfather any longer,” the statement reads as quoted by Sunday World.

Sophie Ndaba‘s estranged husband Max Lichaba has reacted with dismay to her son’s song, in which he accuses him of assaulting and cheating on the former Generations actress.

Lichaba and Ndaba, who married in a traditional ceremony in 2018, separated last year and are heading for divorce.

In the hip-hop ditty, Lwandle Ndaba alleges that Lichaba assaulted the thespian and also cheated on her with his best friend, who is young enough to be his daughter.

“You left your wife bruised up on the body. I won’t forget the day you hit her cause you cheated. You cheated with my best friend. She is young enough to be your daughter, R Kelly wanna-be,” according to the lyrics of the song.

Lwandle raps that he is happy that the revered businesswoman, who is suffering from diabetes, eventually kicked him to the curb. “I thank God that you are not my father, I feel for your children. My mama, I am glad she chose to leave,” he rhymes to the catchy beat.

Lwandle, who is the biological son of The Queen actor, Themba Ndaba, also accuses Lichaba of plunging his mother into depression and leaving her broke.

“I’ve never seen a wife in pain because of a man she loves. Because a man she loves came along and showed us how bad a man can be … “I always thought that you’re the one to protect us, instead you always pull up with the stresses.

“You the reason my mama fell to depression. You used her fame and money. You got it all and you left us with nothing,” he raps.

Lichaba dismissed Lwandle’s allegations that he physically abused the popular wedding planner.

“First, I am not going to comment on this song, what I can tell you is I have never in my life beaten up a woman and I am not about to do that as I have kids who are girls and I have a sister too. My matter with Sophie is at the high court for divorce and that is all I can say,” he said.

He also refuted claims that Lwandle was receiving threats from his family and said he would not allow anyone to harm somebody he supported.

“I am not sure who will ever in my family want to harm the child I raised and took to school with my own money; the child I taught how to drive a car. When he was sick, I would take him to the doctor. I do not think any of my family will want to do that to him or Sophie,” he said.

Sophie declined to comment.

“I have no comment to make my brother, thank you,” she said.

FORMER Generations actress and her tycoon husband are headed for splitsville.

The couple’s marriage dominated headlines in 2017 after they secretly tied the knot in Italy. However, according to court papers seen by the news crew, the couple no longer lived together.

“The marital relationship between the parties has reached a state of irreconcilable disintegration that they have decided to separate and there exists no reasonable prospect of the restoration of a normal marriage and consortium, and have accordingly resolved to peruse an order of divorce,” read part of the papers.

“The defendant (husband) has moved out of the common home, taken all of his personal belongings and resides in a property in a different province to the plaintiff (wife).”

The papers went on to state the settlement agreement.

“The defendant will make a monthly payment of an amount of R5 000 spousal maintenance to the plaintiff on the first of each month from the first month after the date of divorce for a period of three years.”

The estranged husband is also expected to deliver some of the items that were in his possession prior to their separation.

These items include vehicles such as a Mercedes Benz CLK 500 Cabriolet and Hyundai four-tonne truck.

He is also expected to handover some furniture and other minor items.

However, the businesses registered in his name will remain his and the actress will also keep everything that is registered in her name.

When called for comment, the actress said she will not comment on the matter.

Attempts to get comment from the businessman were unsuccessful after he ignored questions sent to him via WhatsApp.
