Papa Penny Ahee season 5 on the way

If you’ve been praying for season 5 of Papa Penny Ahee, your prayers have been answered. Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela is reporting that the fifth season of the show is coming soon.

The reality show always leave viewers glued to their small screens and it chronicles the life of the musician and his family. From the first season Papa Penny Ahee has had an impressive viewership leaving viewers begging for more. Phil said the show is currently on production and the fifth season might hit the TV screens in 2022.

In 2019 Papa Penny topped the Twitter trends list after he was accused of being stingy. This follows after he booked a business class flight for himself and booked an economy class flight for his family.

This angered Twitter users who labelled him ‘toxic’ and he was infuriated by the allegations. Speaking to TshisaLIVE he said he is not rich and those who were concerned about this should give him money.

“You can’t make everyone happy. My reality show is not a drama, it is my reality. I won’t hide anything. I am not rich. I am not a Motsepe. I will never be famous because I am rich. I welcome anyone who is criticising me to give me money to ‘look after my wife and kids’.

He also slammed those who accused him being a toxic husband. “That is not true. They are jealous. Those who say that don’t know me. They just see me on TV. People always want to drag me down. The people who are criticising are not my fans, but my enemies.

“I treat my family better than they treat theirs. Ask my wife, she has no complaints. We have food at home. I don’t waste my money on friends or away from home. She is happy. We have a good life here.”

“If people are jealous of me, they must go to hell. When I drive in my car, must everyone sit in the front seat with me? When I got to bed, must the whole house come to my room. When I go to the toilet, must everyone go with me,” he said.

On season 4 of the show Papa Penny lost his son who apparently committed suicide. Speaking to Sowetan Papa Penny said he disappeared for a couple of yours and they found a letter that he was going to kill himself at a train station

“I don’t know what his problem was. He used to tell his mother sometimes that ‘I’m going to kill myself’. During the day on Thursday, he sent his mother a picture with the peace sign. The mother didn’t think much of it.”

The songstress said she has been battling with her lungs all her life and had breathing problems since she was born. Her doctors have told her she has underdeveloped lungs that are too small to carry her weight.

In her Instagram post she wrote that the condition has affected her for years.

“Something personal I’d like to share with you guys, it has affected me for years. Since I was born I’ve had breathing problems, I cannot do anything active for more than a minute, but there’s something about why I feel like God gave me my musical talent. I can dance on stage for 25 minutes, pour my heart out but I won’t pass out. But as soon as I run for a minute I go straight to hospital. Every three months I go to the doctor so they can clean my system.”

“I call it asthma because that’s what most people understand but my lungs, as I was told by the doctor, are underdeveloped and too small to carry my weight. When you see me on stage performing my best know that as hard as it is for me to breathe, I’m giving everything I have,” she shared.

“I’d love to go to gym but I can’t, I’d like to run on a hill but I can’t, I’d like to play around with my daughter running after her but I can’t. I can’t sit in rooms with smoke. I can’t eat certain fruits.”

“This is for all the girls and boys who don’t do things because they were told they can’t by their doctors. Until today my doctor calls me a miracle baby. Hubby calls me his breath-taking wife. I’m actually in tears writing this. I’m not sad but proud of everything I’ve achieved,” she said.

Prince Kaybee dragged after DJ Uncle Waffles gets verified on Twitter before him

News of budding star DJ Uncle Waffles being verified on Twitter has tongues wagging.

While fans have flooded her timeline with congratulatory messages, there have been others who were left “feeling a way” about it.

After Prince Kaybee — who is yet to get the infamous blue tick behind his name — caught wind of the news through a fan making mention of him not being verified, the DJ sarcastically reacted to the news, writing: “They don’t verify upcoming artists.”

Prince Kaybee fans rallied behind him, with some jokingly suggesting he should try his hand at dancing like Uncle Waffles while doing his set, while others said they did not need a Twitter verification to continue supporting the DJ.

Take a look at the reactions below:

With Prince Kaybee having spoken candidly about how he felt his record label Universal Music SA was sabotaging his career, perhaps the new amendments to the clauses in their contract agreement can help fast track him being verified.

“It’s a bit of a back and forth. I’m very close with the MD of Universal even before I signed the contract — very close friend — so the problem is not him. There are people he sends instructions to and some people don’t do their work. The middle people are the ones who I’m fighting with but I had to voice out so the message can get to him,” he told TshisaLIVE.

“He came down and listened. There are a few clauses we have to amend in the contract and it’s looking good.”
