Jay-Z’s Instagram Account Deleted

Jay-Z has quit Instagram, just a day after joining and amassing 1.8 million followers. The 51-year-old rapper caused a social media stir when he joined the platform on Tuesday but, despite amassing more than 1.8 million followers, his account has now been removed.
During his brief time on Instagram, Jay only followed his wife Beyoncé and his first post and Instagram Story featured a countdown and poster for the release of new Netflix movie “The Harder They Fall”.

The “99 Problems” hitmaker serves as a producer for the film – which launched on the streaming platform on Wednesday – and also wrote the music. The Western – which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival last month – stars Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz, Regina King, Delroy Lindo and more.

As well as only following each other on Instagram, Jay and Beyoncé have collaborated musically, toured together, and, most recently, joined forces for Tiffany & Co.’s About Love campaign.

The couple – who have daughter Blue Ivy, nine, and four-year-old twins Rumi and Sir together – recently pledged $2 million to fund college scholarships as they teamed up with Tiffany & Co. to fund places at five historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) via their charities BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter Foundation.

Announcing the scholarships in September, Tiffany & Co. Chief Sustainability Officer Anisa Kamadoli Costa praised Beyoncé and Jay-Z for “Their relentless dedication to lifting underrepresented groups is the inspiration for the About Love Scholarship programme”.
The funds will go to Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, Norfolk State University in Virginia, Bennett College in North Carolina, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Arkansas, and Central State University in Ohio, and incoming and active students must qualify for financial aid to be eligible, with priority given to those most in need.

The students must be studying for degrees in creative areas such as media, performance, visual arts and design, or in history and communications.

Baby Asante’s arrival has brought so much joy into the Mohosana and Jiyane household. Zinhle always brightens up her follower’s days by posting some heartwarming baby content whenever she gushes over her bundle of joy.

DJ Zinhle‘s second baby Asante had a wonderful dance with her father, Murdah Bongz and her fans cannot stop gushing over them. Both of them have been booked and busy but finally got reunited at Zinhle’s home. Zinhle posted selfies of the two of them and said ‘reunited,’ which suggests that she and Murdah have been apart for while.

Murdah on the other hand also showed how much he is excited to be with his family and said, “God loves me, wow.”

Then she had us reaching for the tissues when she posted a video of Murdah playing and dancing with Asante. They are just an adorable duo.

Zinhle also mentioned how much she cannot live without Murdah Bongz and said it is probably childish. “It’s really childish how I cannot live without Murdah Bongz,” she said.

This family is the cutest, here’s how her fans reacted:

“Yho God really came through for DJ Zinhle with this man.”

“That’s God restoring all that is lost and when it’s time he definitely shows off, and blesses you with all your heart desire.”

“God works in mysterious ways…He will send you the one at the right time.”

Zinhle had mentioned before how Kairo is feeling a bit left out ever since Asante came into their family. She makes time to spend with Kairo separately so she does not have that feeling of resentment.

“I think it’s an adjustment for all of us, yesterday we literally had to have a mommy and me spa day without the baby, because she is feeling a bit neglected. I have to think of everything now, if I am buying this for Asante I have to think of Kairo. And naturally I am geared to take care of Asante because she is so small. But I had to really say I have two kids, you have to attend to both and I have help luckily.

“She’s doing very well she loves her sister, she just thinks the baby is boring which is true, but she loves her,” Zinhle laughed.

Her career is also blossoming the same way her private life is. Zinhle recently had to defend female DJ ‘s after the hate they re receiving online by trolls. Especially since the meteoric rise of Uncle Waffles.

A troll said, “Being a female DJ these days only requires looks and some sexy dance moves. Nobody cares about your mixing”.

Zinhle is not having it and so she replied to his tweet and said, “So sad that you chose to reduce the growth of the female DJ industry to this. I definitely don’t agree with you. I’m loving how the girls are making it their own and dominating. Surely there’s something to celebrate here.”

She dropped some pearls of wisdom for other female DJs and told them to just be themselves, “Female DJs, perfect your art… don’t give them a reason to disrespect your work. Practice makes perfect. With that said, wear whatever you wanna wear & dance if it’s your thing… They are talking because you’re shaking the industry. It’s our time!”

The Miss Universe 2021 pageant is set to take place in Eliat, Israel on 12 December 2021, but there are already calls to boycott it this year.

It isn’t even a month since Lalela Mswane was crowned Miss South Africa at a glittering event held in Cape Town, but she is already receiving harsh criticism on social media. The model is expected to represent Mzansi at Miss Universe but many people want her to take a step back.

Twitter users have called on her to withdraw from participating in the prestigious beauty pageant competition. With many Twitter users venting their frustrations about the pageant being held in Israel, the #NotMyMissSouthAfrica hashtag has gained momentum.

Mandla Mandela, the grandson of the former president of South Africa, recently called on African countries to boycott the beauty pageant over the ‘cruel treatment of Palestinians at the hands of the Apartheid Israel regime.’

” Israel is an Apartheid State and persists in its heinous occupation and expansion of its illegal settlements in violation of international law. We must persist in isolating Apartheid Israel in the same way that we isolated Apartheid South Africa”

We call on Miss South Africa and the nation as a whole to boycott and withdraw all support for the Miss Universe pageant in Apartheid Israel. There is nothing beautiful about occupation, brutality and institutionalised discrimination against the Palestinian people.”

Lalela is yet to receive to the backlash. The Miss Universe pageant is one of the world’s most renowned pageants In 2019 our very own Zozibini Tunzi scooped the crown. When Steve Harvey asked her what should we be teaching young girls, Zozibini’s eloquent response left many convinced that she was fit to become the next Miss Universe. The beauty responded by saying,

“The most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is leadership. It’s something that has been lacking for a long time. Not because we don’t want to, but because of how society has labelled women,” she told Harvey. “I think we are the most powerful beings in the world and that we should be given every opportunity. That is what we should be teaching these young girls. To take up space. Nothing is as important as taking up space in society and cementing yourself.”

More SA Actors To Join Thuso Mbedu And Viola Davis In Upcoming Hollywood Movie

The Woman King, a film starring our very own Thuso Mbedu and American actors John Boyega and Viola Davis, will see a plethora of South African stars in it.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, iconic actor Seputla Sebogodi will be joining the film which will also boast of more South African talent. Mainly because it will be shot in location which is South Africa.

Speaking about the show, Thuso Mbedu said in an IGTV video that the show is worth watching, “The show is going to be worth watching, I promise you. And then woman King (screams). I found out about the project in 2019 right. It was like just at the beginning. We had just started shooting Underground Railroad. We were shooting in Georgia right then I went to LA for a short break and I was just taking general meetings. And I went to meet Viola David and her husband’s production company. And they had just told me about this project.

“It is set in the 1800s in Africa and it’s based on real-life events of women warriors. I am excited to be part of the story because we are telling stories about Africa.”

Thuso is already amped up about the film and had to take a snap with the iconic star herself.

Speaking to W Magazine a few months back, Thuso said the scenes she has to do are giving her a run for her money but you can’t keep a good woman down as the actress is training hard to nail the fighting scenes. She told the magazine that she wants it to appear as natural as possible.

“I want my fighting skills to be somewhere in the vicinity of my performance skills. With the performance, I do all the preparation, and then sort of stow it away and let it live in the moment. I want to get the fighting to a place where it would also come as naturally as possible.”

“Because I’m so tiny, my character has to have a lot of speed. I have to be very fast and agile. Apparently, it wouldn’t be believable that I could potentially punch a person and they’d fall down,” she told the publication, adding that she begs to differ.

Thuso Mbedu is a stunning woman who gets praised all the time. She recently gave her team a young shoutout saying they make her a better person. “This is the person my team has to put up with. So this is a small and random shoutout to my entire team that has given me the love and support I need to be me in every new space I find myself in. Every new experience, encounter and relationship has been fostered with such care and attention to detail that it leaves in me awe. I am a better person because you’re in my life.”

DJ Tira’s ride or die has been labeled many things but a 31-year-old is said to be not befitting. The media personality, Gugu Khathi, recently celebrated her birthday and what a ceremonious celebration it was.

Gugu Khathi celebrated her birthday on October 25 and she got spoiled with words from her husband DJ Tira. He said, “Happy Birthday love of my life. I’m truly blessed to have you in my life. When I think of all the good you bring in my life I thank God for you. May you enjoy today and may God protect you and protect our family. Happyyyyyyyy muntu wam.”

Several reports suggest that Gugu was indeed born on October 25, 1990 which makes 31-years-old.

Gugu had two celebrations. The first was on Friday, 29 October at Rockets in Bryanston where she celebrated with her best friend Brinnette Seopela, from the Real Housewives Of Johannesburg – and she too was celebrating her birthday. Shaking things up was Focalistic and Venom.

Then she got treated to a nice dinner where her family and friends were in attendance. She appreciated every one who wished her a blissful birthday. Gugu then posted a video where she shared the dinner party pictures. She said, “A Big Thank You to My Family and Friends who Celebrated My Special Day with me. Thank You from the Bottom of my heart I really appreciate you. To My Ride or Die. My Girls and My Sister in Law who came all the way to CPT. Here’s to Bigger and Better Days as we Walk this Journey called Life.

‘Keep your country’ – Somizi slams Zimbabwe

‘Keep your country’ – Somizi slams Zimbabwe

“Keep your space, keep your country. I don’t want to be there anyway”, Somizi Mhlongo has finally responded to his ban from Zimbabwe. Speaking to followers on his Instagram profile, he addressed the recent letter by The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe to the government to stop him from entering the country.

According to the actor, he had been off Instagram for some time when he got overwhelming requests from journalists to respond to the news that Zimbabwe had asked him to keep off. He explains that the news wasn’t all that surprising, as he had seen the signs of the event organizers backing out even before.

This is not the first time this is happening to me, so I’m okay”, the celebrity chef expressed. Even so, he empathized with other LGBTQI+ people in Zimbabwe and other countries, who were not free to be themselves. He listed African countries in which the community is oppressed, including Uganda and Nigeria, and said it’s sad that many people in his community are not accepted. He would rather stay in SA, he said, after all, he is comfortable, safe and happy here.

The bad news from Zimbabwe will not stop Somizi though, as countries scramble for a piece of him. Less than 24 hours after the ban, the actor received a better offer for another gig in Namibia. “Yesterday after my Zimbabwean saga, here I am now. I got an invite immediately, deliberately, apparently, concurrently. I’m going to Namibia!”

Despite their best attempts, the church officials in Zimbabwe have failed to stop Somizi, and he has not shied away from rubbing it in their faces. He laughed jubilantly at the fact that something else came up so quickly, and was happy with how fast the whole process was.

“Some of you don’t know God”, Somizi laughed as he shared the good news. This was clearly an indirect jab at those who felt they could spread hate for him because of religion and spirituality. He knows where he stands with God, and has made it clear that their opinions don’t matter to him.

It’s great that he has received an invite to a country where he is wanted and won’t be discriminated against on the basis of his sexual orientation. Speaking to the Zimbabwean officials who didn’t want him in their country, he said they were just as bad as racists, and that his presence in the country was not going to make people gay. “I am not the reason that people are homosexual”, he said. And you know, he is right on that point.

Did you know that Faith from House of Zwide’s and Somizi‘s baby mama fought over a man?

How it started

These two actresses were once best friends for many years. However their friendship had a fall out after Winnie Ntshaba snatched Palesa’s rich man.

How House of Zwide’s Faith (Winnie Ntshaba) snatched Palesa Madisakwane's rich boyfriend

Palesa was dating businessman Nico Matlala whom she later introduced t her bestie Winnie in a bid to have her bae uplift their business but it later turned out the businessman was more interested in lifting Winnie’s dress instead.

“I know that she has been struggling, waiting for her things to run smoothly so she can make money and buy a house. Feeling sorry for her, I went and spoke to my partner [Matlala] asking him to help Winnie… I did not know that she will stab me in the back like this. I’m very disappointed and hurt, but I’m not surprised. This is not the first time she has done something like this. She once went to a sangoma to bewitch me, but my pastor saw through her and she even apologised to me,” Palesa says

Winnie’s car, a Jetta, was spotted parked at Nico’s house for weeks as she was using his BMW. It was reported that the House of Zwide actress was going to Nico’s place at ungodly hours and allegedly spending more time with the man than his girlfriend, Palesa. A catfight then broke out between the two friends.

Nico broke up with Palesa, claiming that she was a control freak, and he wanted to start dating women his age. He also stated disassociating himself from both women because he claimed their drama was tarnishing his image.

Winnie however said that they were being “played” by Nico, but Nico hit back at the women, and claims he did in fact sleep with Winnie.

“I slept with Winnie at my house. Everything is recorded and I will reveal them once they try to outsmart me,”

“If they want to take me down, I will reveal everything about their shady businesses. I have submitted everything to my lawyer as I have realised that I am dealing with bitter women… I will reveal all their dirt, as they are shady as hell.” Nico said at the time.

Winnie and Palesa both posted pictures on Instagram showing they were still friends after the whole drama, but nothing was seen of their friendship after that.

Winnie Ntshaba and Palesa Madisakwane are both going on with their lives separately. The latter is slaying her role in House of Zwide while the other is busy being a mom to her children.
