The anniversary of Nelli’s death comes a day after the two month anniversary of rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA’s death. AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February.

1. DAUGHTER OF A PROMINENT BUSINESSMAN
Tembe is the daughter of Moses Tembe, a well-known Durban businessman. He is the director of the International Conference Centre, co-chairman of the KZN Growth Coalition, and the director of the Mazibuye Foundation.

    The 22-year-old was a foodie and a chef. She studied at the Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine for 18 months during 2018 and 2019.

“I loved our many in-depth chats. I loved the way you extended yourself. I loved that you had a deep desire to impress,” wrote Jackie Cameron on Instagram.

    Tembe was related to Generations actress Nondumiso Tembe who took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about her cousin’s tragic death.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has sent kind words of comfort for our family, thank you very much,” she added.

Social media is abuzz following the graphic images of musician Bongani Fassie injured and covered in blood. This comes after Fassie was allegedly attacked and assaulted by a stranger with a panga on his face.

Tweeps have since urged for Bongani Fassie’s justice following a tragic accident that compromised his life. Reportedly, Fassie was with a friend when an unknown stranger rushed towards their car and commenced hitting him on the face with a panga.

Fassie is convinced there is a target on his back as he also believed that there is someone who wants him dead. Taking to Zimoja Lezinto, the award-winning musician says he was attacked by an unknown man wearing a hoodie at a traffic light, somewhere in Randburg, Johannesburg. The car that they were traveling in is covered in blood while Fassie subsequently sustained injuries on his eye and body.

“I don’t know who the man is. I just saw him come at me with a panga. I was driving with a friend with my window down. The guy was aiming for my chest but I grabbed him and tried to disarm him and he butchered my arm. He cut me but I continued to fight.” Fassie told the publication

Following the gruesome attacks and killings of Mzansi’s celebrities, Bongani Fassie fears for his life. Recently, the country laid to rest of its biggest and most popular rapper, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes. Hence, Fassie is now living in fear for his life as he believes that there is a hit that has been put on him. Fassie explains how he initially received a threatening message claiming it should have been who dies and not AKA.

“He believes someone is out to kill him. Of course, someone wants me dead. I first received a message saying, it should have been me who died instead of AKA. I was attacked twice about over a year ago. But I don’t wish to play the moments back. I am not okay. I almost died. I am just glad to have lived to tell the tail. I will not lie, I am scared for my life, and I don’t know who to suspect at the moment. All I am doing is focusing on my healing and recovery.” Fassie told the publication

Worried tweeps have since wished Fassie a speedy recovery amidst the tragic accident that almost claimed his life.

‘The Worst Year Ever’ For Don Design Getting Death Threats

This year has been very tough on AKA’s friend and colleague Don Design who became public enemy number 1 ever since the CCTV footage of AKA’s murder went public. Almost everyone outed him as the suspect and Nota’s rants were adding fuel to the fire.

Despite several attempts by AKA’s family to let people know that Don Design is innocent and would never betray his friend like that, the public is still adamant about placing him at the top of the suspect list.

He recently celebrated his birthday but stated that it was the worst year for him as he lost his friend and the public blamed him for it.

“Another year around the sun, this is the worst birthday ever. From death threats to my character being assassinated on every social media platform every day.

“I have to wake up in the morning to work and be able to provide for my family. None of this makes sense. I don’t need any of you fake people checking up on me. I’m with my family and getting help. None of y’all can fathom half the s**t I gotta go through,” he wrote on IG stories.

Don Design penned several messages to AKA following his death. In one IG post, he said he wished they had more time together.
“I keep thinking about the moments we shared and replaying our memories together. I wish I had one last chance to thank you for showing me what the true meaning of brotherhood is. I am indebted to you for believing in me, believing in my dreams and aspirational visions, especially in moments where I lacked such belief. I’m in awe of all that you have accomplished in your lifetime. Your work ethic was unparalleled. You followed your path with honesty and integrity.”

The Forbes family lawyer Rudolf Baloyi said: “At the end of the day everybody is looking for answers, we would all like to know what actually lead to this. We would also like to know who are the people behind this. It makes it difficult but also at the end of the day everybody is looking for answers. Some of Kiernan’s close friends have now received a lot of blame, there are many people that are analyzing the videos. I have seen a lot of comments about Don Design who is Kiernan’s DJ who he traveled with almost everywhere,” said Forbes lawyer Rudolph Baloyi.

“I spoke to him last night and also yesterday as he was also at the house, you know people are blaming him for this thing but then we all know that Don Design is not that type of a person. He is almost like a child to Forbes’ that’s why he is also welcomed at the house. Nobody is pointing any fingers at him apart from the people on social media,” added their lawyer.

“We are definitely not entertaining it, actually we were with Don Design yesterday as well as Siya who was with Kiernan, they travel with him all the time.”
