A runaway fire is raging through parts of Cape Town and one of the affected buildings is the University of Cape Town’s Jagger Library, a historic library which held a lot South African literature.

While the fire has prompted millions of people to pray for the city’s recovery, a few others are “celebrating” the tragedy.

Actor and TV personality Siv Ngesi took to Twitter to call out such people, labelling them as “blind and stupid” in one tweet and “idiots” in another.

He also posted a short video on his Instagram page which showed a horse kicking a goose. He captioned the video: “What must happen to all those celebrating and politicising the #CapeTownfire (relax the animal is fine).”

The video left many of his fans offended.

They posted comments saying that the video was disturbing and it was unlike Ngesi to post something like that.

“I’m still appalled that you would post a video like this on your Instagram? If you see so many people who aren’t cool with this video why keep it up? The ”relax the animal is fine“ doesn’t stop it from being in pain and disturbing to watch. That goose is definitely not fine,” said Matthew JamesChristopher Lloyd.

While theofficialjamielee said: “This is an awful video, I doubt very much it’s fine ? a kick like that with a shoe (horse is wearing steel shoes) not your usual post … ? but agree with your sentiment … just not this video clip”.

Among those who commented was actress and businesswoman Pearl Thusi, who said: “Does posting this video change whether or not the duck is fine? People are weird.”

Petty Instagram users came for Thusi, informing her that the animal was a goose, not a duck.

Thusi responded: “@dangerous_to_your_health my point remains. But thanks.”

Actor and TV personality Siv Ngesi has always had an interest in what many have labelled “gay” activities, but no matter what people say, that hasn’t stopped him from being his true self.

Describing himself as a metrosexual man, Siv has defied the odds and has made it okay for males to join in on activities that have been deemed strictly for women.

Ngesi has previously engaged in other activities such as pole dancing for fitness and also because he enjoys the sport. Being comfortable with yoir sexuality comes with having to aquire the thickest skin because trolls will definiatley use the opportunity for cyber bullying.

That was the attitude the Siv was met with when he recently introduced his drag queen persona on social media named Sivanna through the #BussItChallenge. This cause Ngesi to be met with all sorts of homophobic slander however, his fans were absolutely for Sivanna.

Last year, I played in a rugby team that was more gay men – I was the only straight one – so I’ve always wanted to be involved in it. I love tackling things that don’t fit into the status quo. Am I doing it for reactions? No, I wanted to do drag. I love drag and I love pole dancing. If it’s changing the status quo then so be it, but it’s not my goal. I’m an actor. Transformation is a part of what I do. When you play a character, you never judge the character. You just have to be your character. I have to say being a woman is uncomfortable. It’s not easy.”

Siv Ngesi buys gift for girl (12) after 'absent' father disappoints her

Actor-comedian Siv Ngesi has offered to try to make up for the disappointment an “absent” father caused his 12-year-old daughter by providing her with a special gift.

This was after the comedian spotted a tweet from a frustrated mother who revealed how her baby daddy lied to their little girl that he’d come see her after his 14 days of quarantine were over. The mother added it was unfortunate that the father was lying and, with just two days to go, she knew she’d be the one left picking up the pieces.

Hurt by what he read, Siv shared how much he could relate to the feeling of being let down by a father. He then asked the mother to DM him her details, as he wanted to buy the little girl any gift she wanted.

Even though Siv stated that his father let him down many times, in 2017 he described the last moments between him and his late father as precious. He said this was what constantly motivated him to become the successful son he promised his father he would be.

During an interview with Anele on Real Talk with Anele, Siv explained that his father died after being involved in a car accident in 2004.

“He was in and out. I remember [when] he was on his [death] bed and I told him ‘dad I am going to make you proud’. He could still signal, so he signalled [a thumbs up] when I said “dad I am going to be rich, I am going to be successful and I am going to make you proud”. It was near the end. Then it got really bad and we got to a point where we had to decide to switch off [the machines],” he explained.

Siv said his father’s death was the “worst and best” thing that could have happened to him.

“I became the man of the family. My sisters and my family became closer after my dad died. I tell my mom that I love her always because you never know when [things might happen]. The last moment I had with my dad was the day before he left for this drive. I remember I never said I love you, so now we made a conscious decision as a family [to tell each other,” he said.

very seriously.”

Siv said since posting his transformation, he realised that because of his hyper-masculine perception, a lot of heterosexual men were like, “actually that’s pretty cool”, which has showed masculinity seriously flawed.

“It takes another masculine man to do it for you to say, ‘that’s not too bad’. I’m not trying to be a trailblazer. I just wanted to do something I enjoy

Siv Ngesi calls out SA celebs for being vocal about US elections
Local comedian Siv Ngesi finds it humorous that Mzansi celebrities are so vocal about the US elections. The nail biting race between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and US President Donald Trump has been the main topic of conversation both online and in real life.

And with Biden inching closer to having enough electoral college votes to nab the US presidency everyone is commenting on what is going on in the US. Mzansi celebrities have also been very active online such as Sizwe Dhlomo and L Tido posting: “Americans complain about Trump but still vote for him.

“South Africans complain about the ANC but still vote for the party.

“What does this mean?“

The “Knuckle City” star decided to throw some shade and said: ”Great to see SA celebrities have political opinions without being in the pocket of the party in power!

“They tweet more about US elections than SA political issues #Elections2020.”
