Beauty that you have to apply, Is fake – Ntsiki Mazwai comes after Mihlali Ndamase
Twitter once again had a field day with Ntsiki Mazwai after a troll came for her looks. In a tweet appreciating Mihlali Ndamase’s looks, it took a complete turn when the tweep dissed Ntsiki. The woman who is all ‘pro-black’ and advocates for natural beauty and natural hair, she was compared to a make-up artist who wears weaves.
A troll complemented Mihlali’s looks by saying she makes everyone else look like Ntsiki. This did not sit well with many people and they came gun’s blazing at the troll.
Mihlali makes everyone else look like Ntsiki Mazwai
Ntsiki is not moved at all by people who attack her looks, “Don’t stress too much…My life is too beautiful and blessed for me to focus on the negative. People are not my God…I won’t do face beats and weaves for acceptance. Bazobastrong (they will be strong.)”
“Here is what I wish for you to understand… When I too wear face beats, weaves and costumes I will be exactly the same as your fake beauties. In fact you will be stunned at how photogenic I am. But there is absolutely NOTHING they can do to have a mind like mine,” she commented.

But there is absolutely NOTHING they can do to have a mind like mine. ????
Ntsiki has been retweeting tweets that defended her from the troll who made the comparison. Here is how many people reacted:
“The fact that other Black people find it so easy to make fun of Ntsiki, a Black woman, and make derogatory remarks about her shows exactly how much Black people hate themselves… Not even caring how that makes her feel as a human being. We are such a lost people.”
“Report the account that made fun of Ntsiki. It’s stupid and reckless. This thing of trying to not be human on Twitter is evil. The thing is you think because people don’t know you, you can mock people as you please.”
“At some point we really need to stop focusing on how Ntsiki Mazwai looks and listen to what she has to say, that woman is intelligent! And there’s nothing wrong with how she looks but we know how people always target her image even when she’s speaking the truth.”
Ntsiki Mazwai reacts to DJ Fresh and Euphonik getting fired
All social media eyes are on controversial poet, Ntsiki Mazwai since Primedia has fired radio DJs Fresh and Euphonik following the rape allegations that the pair is facing.
The media company released a statement on Wednesday which read:
“Primedia Broadcasting can confirm that, after careful consideration of the events of the last few weeks, the company has decided to release DJ Fresh and Euphonik from their contracts. Their last shows on 947 were aired on 15th January and 10th January 2021 respectively.”
Mazwai has since tweeted a series of tweets regarding the two DJ’s:
“You started a trend of bullying me that lasted for years…Because I stood up for the girl you hit. I will never forget.”
“Kanene Euphonik popularized and normalized calling me dirty…Kanene we remember Bonang. Kanene.”
“All the activists who do magazine covers and do the gbv gigs were the most silent.”
“You don’t lose your livelihood because of Twitter…you lose it because of your behaviour.”
“A moment of silent of silence for all the victims….We believe you.”
It’s no secret that Mazwai has been supporting and defending all the women who have come out and accused Fresh and Euphonik of rape or physical abuse. She also defended supported and believed Bonang when she took Euphonik to court for allegedly physically abusing her a few years ago when many didn’t and then apparently labelled Queen B ‘ihlanyo’(the crazy one).
Mazwai previously accused Fresh of being a rapist and recited Penny Lebyane’s posts who claimed that her ex-boyfriend, whose name she did not reveal, abused her.
Fresh then took Mazwai to court where she was instructed to refrain from making further derogatory statements about him.
Notice that Mazwai only speaks about Euphonik and nothing about DJ Fresh in her tweets? The High Court in Johannesburg instructed her to refrain from making further derogatory statements about Fresh.
Fresh has also filed court papers which cited Lebyane and accused her of violence.
“I broke up with her (Lebyane) because our relationship was toxic and a restraining order was obtained against her after she attempted to force friends of mine off the road.”
Lebyane hit back at her ex-boyfriend saying that Fresh “had no proof of the claims” he made against her in the papers.
Lebyane and Mazwai have both gone the legal route against DJ Fresh:
Lebyane tweeted: “I have gone the legal route because I want to see it through, and I want to see justice being served…”
Mazwai recently tweeted: “Legal processes are so spiritually, mentally and physically draining.”
Update: Court throws ex-girlfriend Penny Lebyane out as DJ Fresh VS Ntsiki Mazwai wait for judgement
Judgement has been reserved in the High Court battle between Thato Sikwane aka DJ Fresh and poet Ntsiki Mazwai, while the application by radio host Penny Lebyane to join in on the case was thrown out.
DJ Fresh filed an application against Mazwai to take down social media posts that name him as a rapist in July 2020.
Lebyane had filed a joinder application, essentially asking the court to admit her as a second respondent in the matter, since she wanted answers as to why her name was mentioned in Sikwane’s founding affidavit.
In Sikwane’s application, the musician claimed that Lebyane was the “original poster” of a tweet that insinuated that he is an alleged rapist. Mazwai reshared the post on her Twitter page, resulting in the current legal spat.
He stated in his founding affidavit, that he thought he was on cordial terms with Mazwai and was unaware that she was “harbouring any animosity towards” him.
Lebyane, however, has denied she was the creator of the post. The two were in a relationship in 2001 and have not had friendly interactions since.
Lebyane earlier this week said she wanted answers.
“My question is, am I being taken to court? What is the implication of my name being mentioned? What is the intention of this document? It doesn’t seem I have a right to reply,” she asked.
Fresh alleged that she tried to run his friends off the road, the reason a restraining order was placed against her. Lebyane, however, has denied this, saying she has never seen documents of the alleged restraining order and tried to obtain the documents in July 2020.0
Sharing several posts on her Twitter, she said: “On the matter of a restraining order, I take a restraining order seriously. Unlike the men in our country who continue to slaughter our women with restraining orders in their handbags, I have never received a restraining order, 19 years ago or any other time.”
Sikwane declined to comment on the matter, due to judgement still being outstanding.
Lebyane indicated that she would respond The Citizen’s enquiries on Thursday, while requests for comment from Mazwai have been unsuccessful.
Ntsiki Mazwai Slammed For Being Jealous Of Trevor Noah’s New House
Ntsiki Mazwai has perfected the subtle art of wearing any and every hat on her Twitter timeline. The good sis can go from activist, to feminist, to troll at the speed of a new tweet. While she was advocating for better rape regulations and highlighting what she believes rapists need to say when addressing their victims. Ma’miya chose trolling on Sunday, 10 January 2021, when she came for Trevor Noah rent free.

My fear is affording a beautiful big house but being alone and no big family to share the space with…. It's a real fear https://t.co/z7rHKK0ig5
But the tweet got her divided reactions, but there were enough drags for Ntsiki to do what she is well known for doing- deflecting. Well, she would not call it deflecting so let us also call it… contextualizing her thoughts with an increasingly inflammatory tweet. This time she suggested that Noah is a good as a vessel that can be used by anyone because she is not clear on what he stands for or represents.
The post only increased the insinuation that the good sis is sounding more jealous than anything else with the tweets. The suggestion was she should have deleted the tweet, but would it be like Ntsiki Mazwai to delete a tweet that gets her the engagement and interactions she needs to coin some kind of bag at the end of the day- no, is the answer.
Instead, she has retweeted responses that have excused her question as an innocent one, which alleges that people are only calling her jealous because they cannot answer the question- right.
Not everybody will be inspired by your success….. It's not even about jealousy…. They just can't relate.
Is this level of wealth attainable for black people or have they chosen one of us as the golden kid to aspire to? Given them a platform and wealth and said…. HERE BE INSPIRED, IT'S POSSIBLE BLACK CHILD?
Even you know this is a lie. I credit black business ALL the time. You guys just want me to join you sheep when media is hyping someone… And that will never happen. https://t.co/QsUwwMyjk5
Ntsiki Mazwai Comes For DJ Cleo – He Seems To Be Fond Of Rapists
Ntsiki Mazwai is back at it again, not that she actually stopped but then… The controversial Twitter account has taken aim and this time she has her sights set on DJ Cleo and his alleged affiliation with celebrity “rapists.” In series of posts, Ntsiki worked on suggesting that there was something fishy about the respected DJ and producer’s relationship with proven rapist and former Kwaito artist, Brickz, and currently serving wife murder, Pitch Black Afro.
Ma’miya started on her tangent when she was questioned on her post stating that she will always believe victims. The statement proves that anyone can change their mind. Ntsiki’s turnaround comes after the star was called out on previously victim-blaming- think Lady Zamar. In 2020 she then had to take accountability for her tweets directed to Zamar and acknowledge that she was being hurtful when she cast doubt on the allegations that she brought forward against Sjava.
DJ Cleo victim? To think Pitch Black Afro and Brickz are serving rape sentences as we speak??
Seeing that she was getting push back from tweeps over attempting to throw the “Es’keleni” hitmaker under the bus. Ntsiki retorted by bringing receipts of when DJ Cleo visited Brickz in prison. People in the know clarified that the two were friends and Cleo was the first person to sign Brickz and together produced his debut hit single, “Sweety My Baby.” But that did not stop Ntsiki from suggesting that visit was a “media stunt” considering that there were cameras documenting the visit.
I spoke to one of his victims last night…. She is still traumatized. It happened years ago… But she is still traumatized to even speak about it.
Ntsiki then warned DJ Cleo to be careful of his affiliations because she could destroy what legacy he has. But that continued to bring other tweeps that made it clear that the producer is a monument that Ntsiki should not be coming for because of the legacy he has created through his catalog. It was then that Ma’miya then shifted back to focusing on advocating for better rape evaluations.
Dj Cleo….. We see you……. Careful. Lest you dent your own reputation
Seeing that she had steered back on course, Ntsiki then focused on continuing her education on how people and perpetrators can do better after hearing an alleged rape victim speak about their experience. But again, it would not be a Ntsiki post if she did not manage to rehash and sub-personalities like DJ Fresh and his legal action against Penny Lebyane. We might be reaching, but it only takes reading the tweet to put two and two together and get four.
I admit it. I raped you. I am sorry. It was a disgusting thing to do to you and I did not realize it would affect you for the rest of your life. I'm sorry I took away so much from you. I am sorry.
Ntsiki Mazwai attacks Pearl Thusi over her light skin colour
Outspoken South African musician Ntsiki Mazwai has taken a dig at Pearl Thusi on how she used to burn her skin.
Taking to Tweeter in response to admissions made by Queen Sono actress Pearl Thusi on Mac G’s podcast on how she used to burn her skin to deal with the teasing she endured as a light skin amongst her darker friends, Mazwai wrote;
“I wanted to ask…. What method did Pearl Thusi use to burn her skin???”
Twitter users were quick to notice tensions brewing, perhaps she trying to rouse the beef they settled some time ago.
I wanted to ask…. What method did Pearl Thusi use to burn her skin???
In the interview with Mac G, the actress talked about colourism and her thoughts on light skin privilege. She revealed that growing up, she was the only light-skinned person in her group, and was often teased and bullied for being different.
When asked if she wished she was darker-skinned, she said she used to burn her skin as a child because of the teasing.
“Uh, I used to like burn my skin when I was a kid to stop the teasing,” Thusi told Mac G.
The conversation was sparked by a previous incident experienced by Thusi on the controversial topic of colourism and light skin privilege on Twitter.
PEARL THUSI CALLED OUT FOR LIGHT SKIN PRIVILEGE
In 2019, the Quantico star was called out by Tweeps who said the reason she was a successful actress was her light skin and not her talent.
Rhythm City actress Bonnie Mbuli, whom Thusi said she regarded as an older sister, joined the heated colourism conversation on Twitter. The tweet that has since been removed read:
“So when a light-skinned actress complains abt the one or two roles they didn’t get coz they weren’t dark enuf; I’m like but the part ur crying abt was being the slave who gets raped and beat up in the thing, ppl who look like u have never had to be in that position to begin with.”
PEARL THUSI RESPONDS TO CONTROVERSY
On the Podcast with Mac G, the actress cleared up the issue, saying that she was not saying colourism was not a thing; the point she was making was that being told she was only successful because of her skin colour was not fair. She added this had brought up her childhood issues around skin colour and had made her emotional.
She then added:
“They want someone to be upset with, people need someone to be a villain in their story and when you’ve been the chosen one to be the villain, sometimes you’ve just got to accept that and keep walking.”
“My journey has been an interesting one and one day I’ll tell it, but I’m so exhausted defending what I am and who I am,” she added.
The podcast episode covered more than colourism, but also Queen Sono, the loss of Thusi’s father, depression and the US.
In a picture, Ntsiki was seen with her stomach showing and fans assumed she was expecting. The assumption of one’s pregnancy usually never ends well, and poet and musician Ntsiki Mazwai is just one in a string of famous faces where fans presumed they were pregnant.
Her sister, musician Thandiswa Mazwai, posted a selfie picture of Ntsiki promoting her beaded cropped tops business. In the picture, Ntsiki is pictured with her stomach showing.

‘Lead by example’ and take Covid-19 vaccine first, Ntsiki Mazwai tells President Ramaphosa
No vaccine is going into my body,’ says the poet.
With the Covid-19 vaccine edging closer in many parts of the world and with the United Kingdom already vaccinating people, one media personality says she won’t be taking it anytime soon.
Poet and controversial figure in the streets of Twitter, Ntsiki Mazwai, says she wants no parts of the vaccine.
Locally, there have been discussions about the lack of transparency by the government on the choice of the Covid-19 vaccines at their disposal, and which one they will choose to vaccinate the nation.
The Health Department announced that the country would probably take its first delivery of coronavirus vaccine, which will cover 10% of the population, by the middle of 2021 after the Solidarity Fund agreed to release R327 million for the initial payment.
The vaccine options range from the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine, the Pfizer BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.
Mazwai has no interest unless our leaders take the initiative. Tagging President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Twitter account, she tweeted: “Leaders must test the vaccine @PresidencyZA lead by example!!!!!”
She followed it with: “No vaccine is going into my body, mina.”
She even put it out there that the virus had not killed any “famous politicians”. Asking a hypothetical question she said: “So if Dr Mkhize and CR17 had to die. Who would force vaccines on us?”
Many people agreed with Mazwai that leaders such as the president and Health Minister Zweli Mkhize should take the vaccine first and the rest would follow. Others pointed world leaders such as Barack Obama, George W Bush and Bill Clinton.
Like many presidents and Prime Ministers, I'm certain Cyril will also have a public vaccination. https://t.co/IG5q9gqcIG
