The rapper who was killed on the 10th of February was a patriot, who sported everything South Africa.

Dr Musa and Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni

This couple’s love began in the DMs and 11months later Musa popped the question. They posted on their Instagrams with cute captions that warmed the hearts of Mzansi.

They tied the knot in August at their secret white wedding when only close friends and family attended. Since then Musa has been heavily criticised for showing his wifey too much love. The TV personality addressed tweeps and called them out on their fears of surrendering to love.

Singer Karabo and Sinesipho Mogane

The Idols SA 2015 winner said “I do” to his wifey Sinesipho in September at a lavish wedding held at Oakfield Farm.

Sinesipho wore a gorgeous gown from The One Bridal while Karabo wore a tailored suit from Suitability Bespoke. Their families were dressed beautifully in different coloured traditional clothes.

The Moganes are a musical family and they did what they do best when they performed at the newlyweds’ wedding.

Actress Nozi Langa and Boipelo Malao

It’s a “forever thing” for the Skeem Saam actress and her hubby.

They tied the knot at their traditional wedding in September in Polokwane, Limpopo, according to their Instagram accounts. Her Sepedi attire was designed by Dea_Ann Designs.

Veteran actor Sello and Pearl Maake ka Ncube

This couple has against all odds remained together until they tied the knot. We reported earlier in the year that Pearl said a few women were constantly giving her a hard time for being with Sello.

They went on honeymoon to Zanzibar to soak up the sun. Sello has called Pearl his best friend and they’ve been inseparable.

MZANSI CELEBS WHO GOT FIRED IN 2021

A number of Mzansi’s celebrities have been shown the door by their employers. Be it as actors, radio or TV presenter, or in any other role in the workplace.

While some are fired for reasons that may not be clear, others are rightfully fired and some even cancelled on social media because their scandals were too big to ignore. No matter the reason, one thing’s for sure, their sacking set tongues wagging in the country.

DJ Fresh and Euphonik

In one of the biggest and long-running scandals of in the South African entertainment industry this year, DJ Fresh and Euphonik were both released from their contracts with Primedia effective immediately this year in February. Mzansi was shocked when a tweep took to Twitter to tell her rape story, where she accused the F-Eu duo of drugging her and both taking turns to have their way with her. While the DJs refuted the allegations, the last straw came after more women came forward and accused DJ Fresh of rape. However, in its statement, Primedia stated that these allegations were in now way related to its decision. Dj Fresh was replaced by Thando Thabethe on his afternoon drive show on 947 FM.

Thulani Shange

Talented actor Thulane Shange was reportedly fired once again from a popular production. After allegedly getting fired from Uzalo, Thulane scored an acting gig on the popular Etv show called Durban Gen as Doctor Mandla Ngcobo. However, after just joining the show, he was shown the door. This raised eyebrows because he is a pretty gifted actor. Many grew to love him on Uzalo, but he also left prematurely due to the same reasons, which are said to be contractual issues.

T-Bo Touch

After serving as CEO since 2019 at Soweto TV, former Metro FM presenter Tbo Touch was removed from his position, as it was alleged that he, along with the head of channel, Nokuthula Zulu, had been underpaying their employees – this according to Sunday World. Touch and Zulu were allegedly underpaying employees in a bid to save the station from going bankrupt. However, the employees took their grievances to court and won the case, leading to their removal.

Khaya Dladla

The actor, who portrays the character of GC (a flamboyant gay hairstylist that viewers love) left the SABC1 drama series again. According to Daily Sun, GC was snubbed on the 8:30PM drama series as his storyline was just not cutting it with the show’s audience. This is besides the fact the he had just returned in March, along with other old faces, in a bid to grow the show’s viewership. Although the other cast members allegedly had short storylines, Khaya’s was much longer – in fact, it was for the entire season. But, according to sources, the reception from viewers was not what the producers had expected. This then led to his character being allegedly put on ice again. The actor did, however, bag a role on eTV’s upcoming drama series, House of Zwide.

Jub Jub slams Mzansi celebs who are treating fans badly

Jub Jub has slammed Mzansi’s rich and famous for being allegedly heartless and forgetting their roots.

“So you’ve got fans who are supporting you. Fans who are buying your music, fans who are following you guys. You know fans who are supporting you through your career and they’ve been there. You guys are so heartless that you forgot where you grew up,” said Jub Jub.

Reminding celebs of reality for some of their fans, the star said treating adoring followers badly because of where they are from won’t fly with him.

“Some of you all might have been multiracial kids and grew up in mansions. But there are those who grew up in four rooms, one room, but you guys forgot where you come from and are treating fans badly. I don’t like that,” he said.

He went on to tell celebs they should humble themselves and if they don’t, there will be dire consequences.

“Humble yourselves and treat these people right because if you don’t do it, then it’ll be a problem. You don’t want your fans switching up on you.” said Jub Jub.

Mzansi hooked on new TV show Lingashoni

1MAGIC’s much-anticipated telenovela Lingashoni has finally premiered, and Mzansi loved its first episode.

The show, produced by Stained Glass Productions, tells the story of a businessman who returns to reclaim his life after 10 years of being declared dead.

The star-studded cast includes Thuli Thabethe, Thato Molamu and Patrick Mofokeng, the lead actor.

Patrick, who dumped e.tv’s Scandal! for the new show, told Daily Sun: “Besides the amazing cast, the show is very relevant to our country’s current situation and speaks to it directly as it touches on corruption, nepotism, family values, love and societal issues many of us are facing.”

He said his character, Mandla, is a great family man.

Mandla is a businessman, politician and entrepreneur who goes through a very traumatic experience that changes his life completely.

“But later he returns to his former life after a decade-long memory loss. He’s a family man who’ll go to great lengths to protect his family.
“He’ll fight tooth and nail for them. I believe that’s where him and I connect. I love my family very much. But other than that he’s very sly.

“I believe viewers will start to hate him when he goes out for revenge after discovering things that happened to him.”

Reacting to the first episode, Mzansi couldn’t believe the levels of drama.

Reality TV star and Idols judge Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung said: “Lingashoni, great first episode, nice one Mzansi Magic.”

Sibonisile Ngubane said: “Hayi! Five minutes in and we already have a dead body. Stained Glass doesn’t like peace hle.”

Phumla Qwabe said: “Lingashoni. I only caught the last minute of the episode and already I know ziyabuya la.”

Lexxie Deluxe said: “This is an amazing show, Lingashoni. I always love seeing Thuli Thabethe on my screen. She’s a gem.”

There were various reactions by locals to a funny post shared by a man who took a snap of another guy starring at a lady taking a photo in the middle of the road while in a middle of a selfie with a lady next to him.

A young man in his predicament was hilariously caught on camera with his eyes glued towards the backside of a woman while he should be smiling instead to the woman he was taking a selfie with.
