The episode featured actor, comedian, musician and celebrity chef, Tol Ass Mo, who is responsible for slamming Motene, but he was not served with a letter of demand.
On the show, Tol Ass Mo, real name Mongezi Mahlangu, spoke about rape allegations he faced made by model and actress, Lerato Moloi. The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) eventually dropped the rape charges when there was no proof that Mahlangu had raped Moloi.
‘She’s too young’ – MacG refuses to bring Tyla on Podcast and Chill
MacG is topping trends after recently turning down Sol’s request to bring fast-rising star Tyla on Podcast and Chill with MacG. Tyla has been making headlines in the backdrop of her newfound fame, from topping the charts to becoming one of the most followed South African artists.
Her smash hit ‘Water’ has undoubtedly thrust her into stardom, and she has been rubbing shoulders with the world’s finest.
MACG REFUSES TO BRING TYLA ON PODCAST AND CHILL
She has been having many interviews but won’t appear on one of Africa’s biggest podcasts. While speaking on the Podcast and Chill, MacG made it known that Tyla is too young to appear on Podcast and Chill with MacG.
MacG says Tyla is too young for #PodcastAndChill – she must still do a lot of things, her journey just started?
There's not much to talk about the raising star, let her enjoy, when sh!t goes south, then she can come?
Sol had requested that the bubbly star appear on the podcast. MacG said: “She is too young for #PodcastAndChill – she must still do many things, her journey just started. There’s not much to talk about the rising star, let her enjoy, when sh!t goes south, then she can come.”
However, given the podcast’s reputation, many were more than convinced that MacG was being protective. Over the years, the podcast has often hogged headlines for the wrong reasons.
Several celebrities, including Jub Jub, saw themselves being seemingly cancelled in the backdrop of their interviews.

It seems things are good between podcaster Mac G and rapper Cassper Nyovest. The pair have not been seeing eye to eye latety and they had a chance to work things out when they saw each other at Black Coffee’s show in New York.
In the recent episode of Podcast and Chill, Mac G said they finally ironed things out when they bumped into each other.
“I’m in entertainment, I get it, you can say whatever you want to say about me but once you start involving my kid, then we have a problem,” Cassper said to Mac G in New York during the concert after party.
Things got a bit tense and their beef started when Mac G made allegations about his partner and child.
Cassper denied claims his girlfriend and baby mama socialite Thobeka Majozi was romantically linked to Royal AM chairperson Andile Mpisane.
“I heard he’s allegedly smashing Cassper’s wife. Cassper is apparently smashing Kamo Mphela who he (Andile Mpisane) was smashing. Right now, allegedly, Andile is smashing Cassper’s baby mama and Cassper is smashing Kamo. So they swapped,” Mac G said at the time.
Cassper said he had no desire to go on the Podcast and Chill show as a guest, implying he was asked but he declined the invite. It started when a Twitter user asked him if they would ever see him on the show.
“Are we likely to see you in Podcast and Chill with Mac G?” asked the tweep.
‘Never,” said the rapper.
Mac G once told his audience Cassper always ducked and dived when they asked him to be a guest on the show.
Mac G said whenever he tried to reach out to his manager, he would be hit with “Cassper is not doing interviews right now” but then Mac G would hear him on another podcast or see him TV doing interviews.
MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho is one of the leading podcasters in South Africa and arguably Africa as a whole. Back in 2022, his YouTube-based podcast Podcast and Chill was considered the fastest-growing local channel by almost doubling in its subscribers in the year alone.
However, it seems that his recent interview with musician and estranged ex-wife to Nota Baloyi, Berita, has landed him in trouble with the rest of his fellow podcasters. This is because MacG was friends with Nota before Nota started attacking Podcast and Chill’s co-host Sol Phenduka.
Thereafter, the entire podcast vowed never to talk or address anything Nota says about them on social media. However, the invitation to Berita to appear resulted in Nota going back to Twitter to lambaste and threaten the podcast.
MacG committed career suicide when he crossed me… Nobody gets away with crossing me!
Now it seems that Nota has gotten other podcasters to attempt to disparage more YouTubers to not watch Podcast and Chill.
MacG labeled as a gatekeeper by Penuel
Penuel the Black Pen is a YouTuber and podcaster who has his own podcast besides co-anchoring DJ Sbu’s The Hustler’s Corner. Moreover, Penuel is Nota’s friend if his latest utterances are anything to go by. Given Nota’s history of attacking females and in addition to his triggering utterances on social media, you would believe that Penuel would be seeking help for Nota.
But Penuel seems to think that Nota has a good heart. As such, he compared Nota to MacG by suggesting that Nota’s good heart is unlike that of MacG, who he labeled as a gatekeeper because MacG allegedly does not support up-and-coming podcasters and YouTubers via his channel.
"NOTA has got an amazing heart, he says a lot of disruptive things, but he's got a good heart & he's tryna put kids on in other podcasts.
This is the same Penuel that forgets that MacG did visit the DJ Sbu podcast and endorsed Hustler’s Corner. Moreover, MacG was the first podcast to have Nota as a regular feature before his utterances leaned toward being violent and dangerous. The same MacG who has diversified his channel into a network to include other podcasts like The Queer Way of Life with Bujy Bikwa, On The Table, Podcarst and Ride, and Popcorn and Cheese. Even Penuel has been on Podcast and Chill.
As such, it seems that Chillers were affronted by Penuel’s false tales on how MacG is a gatekeeper on YouTube given that he too started on the platform with zero to no support and grew his subscription organically. Therefore, some Chillers have petitioned to boycott other podcasts in order to prove how much of a gatekeeper MacG could be if he decided to do so.
Dj Fresh said he went to Mac for advice
Oskido went to Mac for advise
A lot of people went to Mac for advise maybe the issue here is Mac doesn't ask Sol ukuthi "guess who came and asked for a podcast advice Sol"
CHILLERS, I think it’s time to unsubscribe on these other Podcasts and show them who we are! These people are slowly showing their hate for Macg, Unsubscribe and never watch those podcasts, Hands off Macg! https://t.co/Ns5fU4UFlp
@GodPenuel I like & respect you, but this is weak and pathetic coming from you. Don’t you think y’all are riding on the path which he paved, don’t y’all go on #podcastandchillwithmacg to elevate viewership on your own podcasts?
MacG tried to use my wife to slander me – Nota Baloyi speaks out
Nota Baloyi slams Mac G following the interview conducted with his estranged wife, Berita on Podcast and Chill. On Friday, a new episode was released and the Zimbabwean-born singer opened up on why she left her marriage.
“I left because my ex-husband was showing a certain level of rage and anger that I’ve never experienced before. The last incident of rage that happened was when I called the therapist, and the therapist was like, this is dangerous, someone is going to die in this house.
The interview triggered Baloyi has it got him ranting all day on Twitter. He further called out the host of the podcast, Mac and slammed him.
“MacG tried to use my wife to slander me & my chillers showed him whose boss? The viewership is dropping with every episode & there are 900,000 subscribers but not even 200,000 views in over a day? Anyway, I’m back on the Hustlers Corner with DJ Sbu this easter Monday. We’re back! I warned MacG not to let fame get to his head now he has to DJ for a living again,” Nota added.
MacG set resolutions for the new year and one of those were to let go of his distinguished dreadlocks. The podcast host shared a picture on Twitter with his dreadlocks detached from his head and laying hopelessly on the floor.

Tweeps gladly to the comment section to bust jokes about what MacG probably look like now that his head is in full display.
One of his followers photoshopped a bald-headed MacG to reveal the Podcast and Chill founder with a shiny chiskop [bald-head]. Another Twitter user joked that maybe MacG had a fade hairstyle now.
With the following posts on his social media account, the podcast personality could be seen out and about to enjoy some local street food and covering his head as he waited for his order. Is he not ready to show Mzansi the full chop.

As we previously reported that controversial podcaster; Macgwer Mukwevho of Podcast and Chill with MacG gained over 10k subscribers since he lost his Old Mutual sponsorship.
Daily Sun has now reported that gaming sports group SupaBets who were responsible for licencing his content on SupaTV have now also dumped the podcaster.
The SupaBets marketing director; Sindiswa Metsing released a long statement which read: “Please be informed that SupaTV is suspending the airing of all MacG’s content on its channel while an internal investigation is being conducted. He will also be asked to remove the SupaTV sign-up link and branding on his YouTube channel until further notice.”
Meanwhile MacG’s fanbase; The Chillers is still dramatically growing since he was dropped by both Old Mutual and now SupaBets. When ZAlebs published about his increasing subscriber’s a few days ago, his channel Podcast and Chill with MacG had 121k subscribers and now has 125k subscribers at the time of publishing this article.
Although fans of the popular podcaster don’t support his homophobic comments, they love his authenticity, his rawness, his honesty which has at times gotten him in hot waters.
While MacG and his co-podcasters; Sol Phenduka have apologised for their homophobic comments on his podcast, his bashing on celebrities after the Old Mutual saga on social media might have cost him his second sponsorship.
He mocked Thando Thabethe and more celebrities for cancelling him, but keeping quiet when DJ Fresh and Euphonik were accused of rape.
Actress Thando Thabethe took a jab at MacG:
“Discrimination in the guise of being “raw & unfiltered wish I could unsee that MacG podcast. Disgusted!”
Then MacG fired back:
“What is Thando Thabethe doing? I ran across her podcast numbers the other day. I wish I could unsee that. It’s horrible. Black Friday does better numbers. It shows nobody wants to hear what she is gonna say. Just take your nudes and post them on Instagram, nobody wants to hear what you say. ”
