‘Italian makoti’: Metro FM’s Khutso Theledi gets married

Radio personality Khutso Theledi, who is co-host of Metro FM midweek show, The Bridge announced she married her long-term boyfriend.

The former YFM presenter excitedly took to her Instagram on Sunday to share the news of her traditional wedding that took place over the weekend.

“Love across cultures, a promise made, a promise kept… Elelelele. #ForeverItalianMakoti,” she wrote.

Theledi also announced in April this year that her longtime partner asked for her hand in marriage, and of course, she said yes!

She added at the time that her boyfriend proposed at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort in Mozambique.

Khutso Theledi wins her first award at the Basadi in Music Awards

South African Radio personality Khutso Theledi has won an award for Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year at this year’s Basadi in Music Awards on Saturday, 12 August. According to Briefly Khutso left her studies at Monash University to join the Boston Media House. There she decided to pursue a qualification in Radio and Sound Engineering.

In 2012, during her first year of studies Theledi got an opportunity to do a voice over for Boston Media House. This was when the radio personality caught the attention of the youth commercial radio station YFM. It wasn’t too long when Khutso got called to do a demo for a breakfast show. After much success she began working with Gauteng’s biggest youth radio station, YFM.

At YFM she worked as the co-host for breakfast show Flava In The Morning for about two years. Theledi then joined The Freeway as a co-host. She stayed on drive time to co-host The Raw Rush with Thulisa Kanzi. The radio personality then went on to host YFM’s Krunch Time and R&B hot 9 9 chart.

In 2022 Khutso joined Metro FM and hosted the breakfast slot with Mo Flava. She is currently hosting the 9am-12pm slot called The Break Away with Khutso at the public broadcaster. After 11 years on radio, Khutso Theledi has won her first major award for her craft as a radio personality.

In a post to Instagram, the radio personality shared her gratitude to every person who has supported her, her colleagues, friends, family and fans. Khutso has also dedicated this milestone to her late dad.

In continuation the presenter reflects on her journey thus far: “This journey from day one of #BreakAwayWithKhutsoTheledi on April 3rd to this incredible win on August 12th has been nothing short of a dream to know with all my heart that no one can truly cancel what God has called. A massive thank you to the Basadi in Music Awards for the nomination and recognition. To my amazing family, friends, and loved ones, your support has been my driving force. To my Metro FM family and the 8th-floor, your belief in me has been a guiding light. Thank you for helping me reach new heights. This is our testament to our collective dedication and passion. Khutso Theledi Is Engaged

Earlier this month Metro FM’s Khutso Theledi revealed that she had gotten engaged to her boyfriend of many years at a resort in Mozambique. Theledi made the announcement, sharing the beautiful ring on her finger.

“I am his and he is mine. Does the ring make me look engaged, ’cause I’m honestly still taking it all in,” wrote the talented radio DJ.

Khutso recently moved into a new slot on Metro FM after hosting the breakfast show with Mo Flava for a year. Mo left to join a different station.

Radio personality Khutso Theledi gushes over her fiancé

Mzansi radio personality Khutso Theledi is excited to move into the next chapter of her life with her fiancé.

The media personality took to her Instagram timeline to gush over her partner and detail how he recently planned the perfect proposal at the Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort in Mozambique.

“Wamina, you have changed my life in ways I never thought possible. I will never stop thanking God for you. Life is full of beautiful firsts, but experiencing them with you makes them even more special. I pray to experience many more firsts with you by my side,

“I didn’t see it coming — you planned everything to the T, and left me speechless. The island’s serene surroundings and the beautiful souls we encountered made the moment all the more magical. Forever grateful for this unforgettable experience.”

Speaking to True Love magazine in early March, Khutso said she met her Italian partner in her DMs (direct messages) on Instagram, and they have been inseparable ever since.

While Khutso prefers to lead a private life, she does not shy away from gushing over her partner on social media and including him in some of her paid posts.

Khutso is undeniably head over heels in love.

“Vibes are contagious. Make sure yours is worth catching, like how he caught mine. I’ve never craved attention until I tasted yours,” she wrote.

Taking to social media, she shared lovely photos and videos of herself on the island; she also revealed the ring on her finger which garnered her congratulatory messages.

She further appreciated those who wished her well.
“The love Papa left behind will never leave me, he helped me find it in Wamina. We are truly blessed to have you in our corner as we embark on this new journey! Thank you from the core of my heart.”

Khutso Theledi celebrates 32nd Birthday in style

South African radio presenter, Khutso Theledi marks her 32nd birthday with stunning photos. She took to her various social media accounts to announce she’s a year older today.

“23-03-2023 turning 23… I mean 32. Love the individual you’re becoming Khutso. Protect what makes you different at all costs, therein lies your power,” she captioned the post.

The post garnered her birthday wishes from friends and fans.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that DJ Sabby will replace Mo Flava on Metro FM’s Breakfast show.

The news left Khutso emotional as she penned down a note to Mo Flava who was her co-host on the show.

“Our reunion a gift and grateful for what’ve rebuilt. Our voices strong, our spirits high, creating magic across the land, only you and I will ever understand. It was rumored that Theledi will also be replaced by there’s yet to be any confirmation.

Khutso Theledi and MoFlava to exit Metro FM

Metro FM is reportedly set to show the doors to MoFlava and Khutso Theledi.

The two OAPs are hosts of Metro FM’s breakfast show Wake Up On Metro FM, which airs from 5 to 9.

Phil Mphela who is known on Twitter to deliver hot and fresh entertainment news revealed the exit of the two presenters.

He further revealed that they will be replaced by DJ Sabby and Skhumba.

However, the news of Khutso’s exit didn’t sit well with some Twitter users as she’s not two years in the radio station.

Khutso Theledi to join Metro FM

Khutso Theledi will be joining Metro FM on the 1st of April 2022 after exiting YFM. The radio personality will cohost The Breakfast Show from 5 am to 9 am with Moeti “Moflava” Tsiki. The news was let out through Metro FM’s new line-up for 2022-2023 which was released on Thursday.

Fans have taken to social media to congratulate Khutso, though she’s still mute about the news which has gone viral.

Metro FM business manager Kina Nhlengethwa said, “This investment will allow the station to carry out its mandate to both listeners, clients, and strategic stakeholders.

“We remain committed to delivering exceptional content with a focus on creativity and cementing our leadership position in the market. The new line-up reflects why we are South Africa’s coolest radio station, and speaks to the greater heights the Metro FM brand is climbing to. At 5.4-million listeners, we are not done.

Khutso Theledi has drop another nugget for her followers and other social media users.

The renowned media personality made this known in a recent post she made on the popular social media platform, Twitter.

In an earlier post, she urged her followers as well as other social media users to trust in whatever they doing and also trust themselves.

According to her, all their hard work is actually unlocking some great and marvelous doors that they can’t see.
