Lamiez Holworthy warns artists and DJs to beware of scammers who call themselves promoters. The DJ expressed her pain, as she’s had people who have fallen victims to these fraudsters.

“Dear upcoming artists and DJs. There’s a growing trend of scammers who take advantage of the vulnerable. Please note that even though these fake promoters send you proof of payment (saying it will clear after three days) NO ONE will ask or need you to use your own money for flights and accommodation. The same as no one would make you pay for a LEGIT radio or TV audition/interview.

“Anyone who promises you such is simply taking you for a ride and taking advantage of your vulnerability. It pains me because I know of one too many victims. If you are unsure of something, please ask and do your research before using your hard-earned money for whatever it is that they’ve promised.

She further encouraged artists with her story. I know it gets hard, trust me I’ve been there. I started in 2010 and I know how frustrating it gets. But believe me when I say, in time – it will all pay off

DJ Lamiez Holworthy making big changes in her life

Nobody works as hard as DJ Lamiez Holworthy does, which often means she prioritizes work over most other things. But now she is determined to be more present, so that she does not live a life full of regrets.
The Dj recently opened up about how much she has always put work first in her life, even though she does take time to be there for other people, going out of her way, when they need her. But she has resolved that this year, she will do better and change that.

She went on Instagram stories to share her thoughts, as she often does. She said that upon her death, she would want people to talk about the fact that they knew she loved them, because she was always present and always showed it to them. She would hate for people to be unsure about where they stand with her, which is part of her motivation to change her life.

We have to wonder whether this was brought on by her recent surgery. The Dj recently shared that she had undergone eye surgery, and apologised, saying she would be taking some time off social media while she heals from the procedure.

Although she did not say what the surgery was for, fans went on to wish her a quick recovery. And it seems that she did heal rather fast, seeing as she is back to her gigs and on social media, and we love to see it.

Perhaps undergoing the procedure and not being able to work or be online showed her how valuable her social life is, bringing on this change of heart. Either way, we support her decision – you can never go wrong with being more present in life.

She also continued to display her kind and selfless heart by sharing how happy she feels for others when they win. She shared a post that encouraged people to congratulate others when they win, because life is hard enough as it is.

DJ Lamiez Holworthy remembers her late dad

Lamiez Holworthy is blessed with wonderful parents who gave her all the needed support while growing in the music industry.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the DJ revealed how her late dad and mom wear a shirt with her face on it to every gig she’s to perform.

Lamiez’s dad died in 2019, and her mom still supports her, as she’s currently the DJ’s manager.

“Do you understand just how much my parents believed in me? They’d wear these to gigs when I just started out years ago,” she wrote.

She further expressed how she desired that her dad be alive to witness and experience all her wins.

“I really wish my dad was here to witness it all pay off,” the DJ added.

Serious prayers pour in for DJ Lamiez Holworthy

Lamiez Holworthy says she will be staying off social media and gigs after her eyes surgery.

The DJ didn’t reveal what happened to her eyes but she said she will be getting a surgery.

“Straight from a week full of gigs and work to my first eye surgery at safesighteyelaser. I’ll be off social media and won’t be working for the next few days as I recover,” she wrote.

She also sent her followers a kind message which reads, “Sending you all love and light. In a world so full of darkness, always choose to see and be the light,” the DJ added.

Lamiez further shared photos of herself after the eyes surgery and she’s okay but with the eyes turned yellow.

DJ Lamiez Holworthy angered by fake women empowerment stunts

DJ Lamiez Holworthy is known for her kind and generous heart. But that does not mean that she shies away from calling out bad behavior as well putting hypocrites on blast.

Just recently she took to her Instagram stories in a rant that has shaken all of Mzansi. And while it is not yet clear what or who may have provoked her this time, her stern message has been received loud and clear.
In her Insta stories, a visibly upset Lamiez wrote saying that the meanest of girls always hide behind bible verses and fake women empowerment.

Not only that, she warned them saying that people do notice the lowkey jabs they throw at others and it is pathetic to say the least.
This is not the first time we have seen the female DJ call out hypocrisy for what it really is. It was just the other day when she came guns blazing at tweeps who had decided to shame Uncle Waffles for how she had been dressed at one of her gigs.

Being a female deejay herself, she was not going to sit pretty and watch as one of her own was put under fire for such a flimsy reason.

For celebs who is always so kindhearted, fans had never imagined that they would see her no-nonsense side and we have to all agree that we like her even better this way.
Clearly this will not be the last time we will be hearing from Lamiez now that she has proven to her fans that she is not ashamed of speaking her mind. Like just the other day when she made a stern warning to those who share her personal contact details to just anybody.

This she said was in violation of her privacy and she would not condone such behavior at all. Yes, her tone was not at all that kind but she stood her ground and we can only hope that her fans and friends will respect her decision.

DJ Lamiez Holworthy Calling It Quits?

Reports recently emerged that DJ Lamiez Holworthy was considering calling it quits. Now she has come forth to put an end to those rumours.
Responding to a Facebook post about her considering calling it quits, the DJ responded that it was not true. She said the information was misleading, and that as a human, she is allowed to get tired and take a break, without it automatically meaning that she wants to hang up her boots. To be absolutely clear, she will still be honouring all her gigs: TV, radio and deejaying.

The post did reveal how much her fans love and care for her. In the comments, there was an uproar as fans felt upset at the prospect of her quitting. They also encouraged her, saying she should take a break rather than give up completely. And even though they love her and her work deeply, they also care about her, and would not want to see her succumb to burnout. Balance is the key, they advised.

But Lamiez has never been in danger of giving up completely. By her own admission, she would rather be tired than broke any day. Which is why she will wake up daily and grind extra hard; the alternative is worse.
When it comes to money, Lamiez makes a lot — and spends similarly. In fact one of her fans’ favourite things about her is her philanthropic side. She is always seeking out the next person with a problem that she can be of help to, and her generosity extends to strangers too.

DJ Lamiez lands a helping hand

Lamiez Holworthy is set to help a young lady known as Mimo Mokgosi, who is in need of a Lymphadema drainage machine.

People were urged to donate so Mimo can get better as the ailment has affected her leg.

“We love @mimo_mokgosi for her positivity, sense of humour and will to live. She’s also faced some battles, one of which is Lymphadema. Please help me raise R13000 to get her a machine that will help with the swelling of her leg.”

The DJ who has a heart of gold decided to reach out to her privately.

DJ Lamiez Holworthy meets iconic artist Dr Esther Mahlangu

DJ and TV presenter Lamiez Holworthy was over the moon after meeting iconic artist Dr Esther Mahlangu.

She posted a photo of the two of them on Twitter and Instagram and said she was excited to have met her. Lamiez said she was inspired.

“In the presence of greatness. Finally, I got to meet Gogo Esther Mahlangu. I am even more inspired to be the best version of myself,” she wrote on Twitter.

On Instagram, she said meeting her was on her bucket list.

“I am in awe of all Gogo Esther Mahlangu has achieved, all she stands for and all she represents. Today, I got to tick another box on my bucket list and I am even more inspired to be the best version of myself,” she said.

Lamiez tweeted again and said Gogo Esther had insisted on giving her a Ndebele blanket to put over her shoulders.

She wrote: “May I add, gogo insisted on go nkapesa kubo?”

A tweep commented on the photo and said they knew Lamiez had wanted to meet Gogo Esther for a while, and he was happy for her. She responded and said it was a big deal for her and her year had started off great.

I’m mentally and physically drained says DJ Lamiez Holworthy

Lamiez Holworthy says she’s mentally and physically drained, hence, she will be taking some time to rest.

The DJ is undoubtedly one of the most booked female DJs in 2021, and she’s yet to take a break since we started the new year 2022.

Taking to Twitter, she made her condition known to people.

“I’m mentally and physically drained. I need at least two weeks to just recharge and rest,” she said.

However, a fan said the two weeks rest is too much, as she has other hustle asides DJing at shows.

In response, Lamiez said she will do other jobs from home; like her radio gig.

DJ Lamiez Holworthy seeks justice over little brother’s death

Lamiez Holworthy questions the justice system in South Africa as the murderers of Tshego Blackie are still wandering the country without being arrested.

A few weeks ago the death news of the young man made headlines, with Lamiez expressing how heartbroken she is as Blackie was like a little brother to her.

Taking to Twitter, the DJ poured out her heart, seeking justice for the late star.

“All this in a country where my little brother’s killer still hasn’t been found even though the police have a VIDEO of the shooting. Car registration and everything. And I’m expected to believe that this is them doing their jobs?” Lamiez said reacting to a video of the Police Minister General Bheki Cele.

“Two weeks after Tshego was brutally murdered and no arrests have been made yet. Like the animal really gets to spend Christmas with his family whilst we mourn our loved one?! And yes, everything was caught on camera but nothing! Our justice system? A joke,” she added.
