Anele Mdoda Gets Attacked For Shaming Skinny Women

Anele Mdoda has been trending for all the wrong reasons of late and today is no exception. The radio personality has been called out for skinny-shaming women and tweeps are not impressed by this.

If Anele Mdoda is not trending for that Kelly Rowland Tweet where she said the American singer is not beautiful, she is trending for saying or doing something controversial.

This time, Anele Mdoda skinny shamed women and it did not land. Anele posted a picture which said, “The chubbier the girl, the more peaceful she is. These skeletons are very rude.” Then Anele Mdoda added fuel to the fire and said there is no security company dedicated to slim people, but there is one for chubbier people and it is called ‘Chubb’

“Can y’all respect us !!!! I don’t see a security company called THIN but there is one called CHUBB… so please,” she laughed.

The insults came one by one and people made sure to grill Anele Mdoda.

Anele Mdoda is not the only celebrity to be called out for body shaming other women who are slimmer. Thickleeyonce too has done it more than once and she got called out. This trend started years back when Thickleeyonce was called out for projecting her insecurities onto other people by making fun of slim women.

When she got body shamed, she lost it. The model was craving junk food early in the morning and tweeted about it. Tweeps encouraged her to crave gym instead of Pizza and she did not take it lightly.

“I see skinny people tweeting about eating KFC for breakfast , no one will say anything about their health, but let me talk about craving chocolate at 8am, then everyone is a doctor who’s worried about my health. Please. Gtfoh.

“You don’t care about fat people’s well-being, you just want to police our bodies and mask your fatphobia as “concern” for our health. Just stop,” she said. In another incident she stated, “Y’all are so pressed about what I put on MY body. If it fits me, it’s for my body type… My mentions are annoying me. Y’all hate to see fat women happy and wearing whatever they want.”

Anele Mdoda recently got into a car accident which almost saw her ankle getting badly hurt – if it wasn’t for Cassper Nyovest’s Drip Sneakers called ‘Root Of Fame 990.’

In her morning breakfast show, Anele said she had just gotten back from a trip back home and was waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up. “I am, waiting to get picked up [by my boyfriend] and now I’m standing where everyone is standing, waiting to get picked up. The next thing, I feel the biggest pressure forcing me to the ground. It is the most bizarre feeling, so I think ‘oh I’m getting mugged’, so I turn to grab whoever is mugging me,” she revealed as quoted by Daily Sun.

“Then I’m on the floor and I’m wondering what is going on. The next thing I feel my right foot is just stuck. I’m trying to move it, but it’s stuck. Now I can’t move my entire body, but there’s something on top of me. Guys, did I not get hit by a car!” she said.

South African media personality Anele Mdoda left many of her fans feeling very concerned after she shared a photo of herself in a moon boot on Instagram. The Breakfast Club radio host Anele Mdoda had a harrowing experience while waiting for her man to fetch her from the airport. Speaking on her show this morning, Anele shared how she was run over by someone but did not sustain serious injuries after she was saved by the shoes she was wearing – a pair of Cassper Nyovest’s Drip collaboration 990 sneakers.

According to Anele who first shared a snap of herself in a moon boot early on Monday morning this week, she had just returned from an Eastern Cape trip where she was visiting her family.

She also explained how the shoes she was wearing prevented the car from moving any further on her body and causing any more harm. She was so impressed with them that she called Cassper and told him to listen to the show so he could hear her retelling the story of how his shoes saved her life.

It was a Cassper Nyovest 990., I actually called him yesterday and told him to listen to the show today. It’s got quite a sole and that’s why the car couldn’t climb onto it. The shoe is that strong.”

foot wasn’t broken. She did however reveal that she was left with a huge wound after she was dragged onto the tar by the car.

“It’s not broken, in fact, I think the moon boot is a bit of an overkill, but the doctor didn’t want me to go home, the one that I saw. The biggest bruise is the skin scrape which is just 4cm above my ankle. There’s a huge wound,” she said.

As promised, she shared the story on Monday, 27 September, when she said she’d been hit by a car.

Anele said she had just flown back from home in the Eastern Cape and was at OR Tambo International Airport when the accident happened.

She said she was waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up from the airport, so she went to wait for him at the pick-up point on the ground floor.

“There I am, waiting to get picked up and now I’m standing where everyone is standing, waiting to get picked up. The next thing, I feel the biggest pressure forcing me to the ground. Anele said after she was hit, the driver didn’t move the car on top of her. Instead, he got out and started blaming her for the accident and said it happened because she was on her phone.

The Celebrity Game Night host said the shoe she was wearing saved her ankle.

“It was a Cassper Nyovest 990, I actually called him yesterday and told him to listen to the show today. It’s got quite a sole and that’s why the car couldn’t climb onto it. The shoe is that strong,” she said.

She said her ankle was fortunately not broken.

“There’s a huge wound, I kept on saying to the doctors it’s burning, I feel a burning sensation. But it turned out I had scraped that entire side when he dragged me on the tar,” Anele said.

ANELE MDODA SPEAKS ON KING MISUZULU’S ZULU SPEAKING SKILLS

Anele Mdoda took to her social to share her view on the recent speech made by King Misuzulu Zulu.

The king addressed his nation amid the violence in KwaZulu-Natal but was dragged because of his Zulu language.

Tweeps felt he needs a Zulu language tutor in order to understand the language better.

In his speech, he said, “I appeal to you, my father’s people. Zulu is our own heritage that we must cherish and guard as our own treasure. I therefore appeal to the Zulu nation to withdraw from participation in the destruction of our country. I appeal for calm, for peace to be restored.

“Let us not allow politics to taint the dignity of our nation to be led to destruction. We are much better than this. We are people of dignity. Therefore let us respect the rule of law and ensure order returns to KwaZulu-Natal.”

Reacting to the impassioned plea, Anele was curious and asked fans why the king was speaking live on TV.

After a tweep replied, saying the king’s speech should not have been broadcast, Anele clarified her feelings about his speech.

Anele made it clear she has no issue him addressing the people but felt it shouldn’t be done live.
“Don’t get me wrong, the speech had to be broadcast, I just don’t see why it had to be live. He was left wanting on live telly. Maybe I’m romantic about monarchs but protect the crown at all costs,” said Anele.

Trending SA‘s current creative lead recently opened up about the treatment she received from the producers of Anele Mdoda’s talk show, Real Talk with Anele.

Taking to Twitter to detail her ordeal, Sive “Black Rose” Nkukwana said, “The way I was mistreated when I worked on Real Talk, I vowed to treat people who work with/under my lead with compassion and empathy. Everyone must feel seen and heard. I make sure I elevate and uplift the good side of my team. I make sure they know how important their role is.”

ANELE MDODA’S TALK SHOW PRODUCERS EXPOSED FOR ABUSING FEMALE STAFF MEMBER

Sive’s sentiments did not fall on deaf ears as tweeps came out with their own stories on the abuse that creatives suffer in TV Production. These were some of the reactions on Twitter:

@Misha_Solanga said, “The saddest truth is that everyone who has worked in the tv/film industry has had a bad experience (probably multiple). But because we’re scared to be without work you shut it.”

Sive responded and said, “The sad truth. I just had to free myself from that mindset of just acting from survival and desperation (even though I am). You just have to lead with blind faith that your talents are enough. Sounds easier said than done but that’s the energy bullies can’t stand. It disempowers them”

@LocksLady said, “The working conditions of the TV/Film industry are absolutely horrible. I have worked with a married gent with kids but he was constantly at work. Sunrise, sunset. 7 days a week. They had the nerve to be upset when he got ill because of exhaustion.”

@Palee_M said, “You’re so right. I’ve been mistreated in so many working environments and always vouch that whenever I’m given a position of “power” I will always treat people with kindness. We all have different working styles and we must be accommodative, but w/o forgetting the assignment.”

@Sabelo_Goniwe said, “Thank you for being part of the solution. Corporate culture needs some reforms indeed. I commend people like you who realise and adopt a different way”

@thandorad said, “Film And TV will test you, I don’t think a month goes by without crying or being disheartened by the actions or decisions of our superiors”

@QwabeNz said, “2014 almost became an alcoholic. Walked away from a promising directing career…bathi you need to grow a thick skin if you want to make it. An excuse to treat colleagues like crap. I felt really sorry for the guys down the food chain, they continue to keep it moving despite ”

@LoneRogueRanger said, “My friend recently resigned from the Public Broadcaster after 22 years. He tells me that place was a sexual crime scene and a place for grooming young girls. I wish you guys can open cases against those predators and let them suffer forever”

@TheGabi said, “My former manager never did anything herself, didn’t even know the job, hated that I was liked & worse tried to get me fired for having a side hustle & doing it at my personal time. She thought I didn’t know who I am, that was her biggest mistake. I rose above it and her stunts!”

@PhathuMakwarela said, “I’m triggered! @Sive_N – I’m so happy that you were able to rise above it and not allow the whole thing to make you an embittered boss. More blessings your way.”

Sive also said her passion carried her and the host of the show, Anele Mdoda. She said that Real Talk was her dream job at the time, “I was a guest and by the time I left their studios, I knew I wanted to work there. I’d just left craz-e (career highlight) so Real Talk felt like a graduation of some sort”

This is a conversation that needs to be had as a lot of people not just in the industry have been subject to this type of abuse. We are glad that Sive has moved on and is doing the Lord’s work by making sure that other people are not subjected to what she went through.
