Actress Lusanda Mbane has scored a new TV gig. The actress is popularly known for her role as Boniswa in eTV’s Scandal.

Following her exit from the show Lusanda has bagged a new role in eTV’s drama series Imbewu. According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, the actress has been spotted on the set of the show and she is happy.

Lusanda’s role on Scandal recently came to an end in July and speaking to Drum magazine, she said she stayed longer on the show because of her captivating performances.

“I do not think Boniswa was supposed to stay on the show for so long. Also, when I got the gig, she was a supporting role. Through my performance I was able to be given more storylines and there were always curveballs.

“Playing the same character for five years is not easy but because of how her story has changed over the years, it has been a challenge and a great adventure. When I first got the role, Boniswa was supposed to be this sweet, warm, and loving woman. Then about two years in, she was turned into a villain, and I went into a dark place effortlessly in order to bring her to life.”

She said, “Where do I even start?! What to say?!This is a curtain call I guess. Take a bow ma’am! To have taken the responsibility of teaching us to love, hate, respect, vouch and even root for Boniswa must’ve been extremely challenging… yet you did it flawlessly.

“How you go so hard in everything you do is beyond admirable. You’re so dedicated and focused! I learned so much from you. Enkosi. For being my all on and off set. I’m so glad you were honored by the very same people you did it all for. You deserve the love and appreciation. Good luck. I love you deep, always

The podcaster who popularised the sentence, “Scoop told us,” has birthed yet another one which says, “Ntsiki told us,” when he spoke about Bonang’s House Of BNG drama.

Mocking the entrepreneur, Rea Gopane shared that Bonang is not smart as she makes people think she is. She has all that energy for me…can you imagine,” Rea said referencing the the legal battle he got embroiled in after he made his defamatory statement.

“Scoop told us that AKA is on coke, and Bonang is the one that got him into cocaine. Scoop told us that, bro, after the interview we had him right here at this place,” Rea said at the time.

“She has all that energy for me but her but her paperwork and business is not even right, but you wanna flex to your fans,” he said. “Bonang is not as smart as she pretends to be. All she is good at is the fan base she has, that attacks people,” he alleged.

Rea even dragged Ntsiki Mazwai into this, one of the few women who questioned Bonang’s involvement with House Of BNG saying she does not own it, but she is just a marketing gimmick. Rea said Ntsiki is a smart woman because she has been saying this and she has never been shy to point this out.

The podcaster even said Bonang makes her lawyers do stupid stuff like making sending police officers to his place. “Do the real work of securing the bag,” he said. You running away from the big boys, she fooled everybody, she was going to vineyard and taking pictures saying “girls with vineyards”, Bonang does not own a f*** vineyard,” he mocked.

However, DJ Zinhle has made it clear that she does not want to be part of his show because he is going to ask her “sh*t questions.”

Lasizwe was left disappointed when she refused, stating that she’s a mother of two and she’s not trying to roll like that.

“In front of 6 000 people I will not come to that show, you will ask me bulls***t questions. What are you going to ask me?” asked Zinhle.

Lasizwe laughed and said he would not ask her questions that would make her uncomfortable.

But Zinhle did not budge and she said, “you definitely would.” if you have something you want to ask me do it now.

Lasizwe tried to convince her saying she has a choice to not answer some questions, but Zinhle held to her guns and said she is a respected mother of two children.’

Senzo Meyiwa’s brother says arrested suspects are innocent

Senzo Meyiwa’s brother has revealed that the arrested suspects for the murder of former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper have nothing to do with the crime.

Sifiso told the media on Monday 25 October.

However, the five suspects appeared in court for the alleged killing of the former professional goalkeeper.

While the court decided on an extended trial day, the late victim’s brother has claimed the cops have the wrong suspects.

The five men were handcuffed after the former footballer was gunned down in October 2014 while visiting his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus, Gauteng.

“We were on the same page with the Minister [Bheki Cele] on who commited the killing. He previously agreed that these suspects have nothing to do with the murder. All of a sudden he is saying it’s someone else,” Sifiso Meyiwa said.

Sifiso has made damning allegations against embattled police commissioner Khehla Sitole on his involvement in the case.

He says five men accused of killing Meyiwa are being framed by the team brought in by the police commissioner.

The matter has been postponed to 11 April 2022.

Actress Cindy Mahlangu bags international award for her role on Kings Of Joburg

Actress Cindy Mahlangu won an international award for her role as Phumzi on Netflix’s Kings Of Joburg. Cindy was left stunned after she received the news that she won Best Supporting actress at The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA).

Taking to Instagram, Cindy was surprised by American actor Michael Anthony who congratulated her on this win.

Kings Of Joburg premiered on December 4. 2020 on Netflix and was pioneered by the late Shona Ferguson who played Simon “Vader” Masire.

The series has a star-studded cast which include, Zolisa Xaluva who plays Mogomotsi “Mo” Masire, Sthembiso Khoza as Cyrus, Abdul Khoza as Lester, Tsholo Matshaba, Cindy Mahlangu who plays Phumzi, TK Sebothoma as Tlotlo Masireand, Buhle Samuels who is the wife to Simon.

The series tells the dark tales of the city of gold, Johannesburg, where crime, fighting, murder, supernatural, fight for power and arrests are the order of the day, as loyalties are also tested.

In a hilarious skit, Shona announced the return of the series on Instagram, “These stories kept me up at night and gave me nightmares but I had to bring them to life in a tale of human conflict. Audiences will be surprised to learn that despite the darkness of this story, Kings of Joburg, paints a beautiful picture of the city of Johannesburg. I am also grateful to have worked with such an amazing cast and crew who gave it their all and helped bring my vision to life,” said Ferguson.

Produced by Ferguson Films, they were accused of recycling actors, but in an interview with ZAlebs he slammed those rumours, “The term “recycling actors” is very insulting to actors in our industry. Actors act. That’s what they do for a living. Saying because they’ve been on 1 project they should be cast away and someone new must be cast is unfair. I have never cared for this particular phrase “open up the industry” because it’s what we do every day of our lives. We open up the industry to new and old talent. We open up the industry to the world,” he said.

Cindy’s private life is also looking blissful as ever. The actress is rumoured to be getting pretty serious with her footballer boyfriend Bongani Zungu. The Blood And Water star shared a video of her and her soccer bae chilling and bonding with his mother. The couple tried to keep their relationship away from the public but they could not keep it under wraps any longer.

But their relationship got rocked with cheating rumours as he was caught on camera kissing a 19-year-old.

Producer Makwa Beats has revealed that he has stopped drinking lean.

Lean is a product of codeine and soda, and Makwa said quitting it was not easy.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, 24 October, Makwa said now that he has quit, he eats a lot.

“Quitting lean ain’t child’s play. But I’m glad I’m off it and eat a lot now,” he wrote.

His tweet saw a lot of people opening up about their experiences with lean. Some shared how they were struggling with it, while others have quit. There are still those who are trying to kick the habit.

Makwa was applauded for speaking publicly about it by people, including industry people like, Nota Baloyi, Cassper Nyovest and DJ ZanD, among others.

On Monday, 25 October, Makwa shared some screenshots showing the bad effects lean has on a person, to warn people against it.

“When you don’t have it, you’ll be mad and when you get it, you’ll be happy and that’s f**cked up,” he added.

The musician said lean affects your teeth, throat and kidneys.
