The 947 radio host said that the matter is with her legal team and they are the ones looking into the dispute over the alleged unpaid surgery bill. Sunday World reported that Maimela, whose company Redwood Productions is behind Thabethe’s reality show titled Unstoppable Thabooty, wrote to the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) following their near-death experiences after surgeries conducted by Vivari Aesthetics.

The clinic said that it agreed to perform a 360 liposuction surgery worth over R180 000 on Thabethe and a 360 liposuction, mastopexy, and Brazilian Butt Lift, worth over R340 000, on Maimela. However, Vivari claims that the pair did not give it airtime in the reality show, neither were the bills settled as they reportedly only received R100 000 from Thabethe and Maimela. In Maimela’s complaint, which was partly dismissed by the HPCSA, she said the surgeries were conducted on 25 November 2022 and took longer than they were told they would. She also claimed that the clinic was under-equipped, lacked post-surgical care and was not in good standing to operate patients.

According to the letter, Vivari Aesthetics was negligent, as Thabethe reportedly bled profusely after undergoing liposuction.

“I was in the room when my friend was bleeding and it looked like a little waterfalls of blood gushing out of her. This was extremely traumatic for me to witness. She needed me. That is when Dr Anushka said that Vivari is not .In addition, Maimela said she was admitted to Life Fourways hospital after she suffered heart failure allegedly due to excessive bleeding from her surgeries. Maimela further said that the facility’s doctor, Anushka Reddy, confirmed that the nurses at the facility were not registered.

Senzo Meyiwa trial: State has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt

Legal expert Mpumelelo Zikalala says the testimony of all those who were in the house the day Senzo Meyiwa was killed will be critical for the state to prove their case.

He says the State has to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Zikalala says there have been numerous instances of reasonable doubt coming out of this case.

The murder trial is expected to resume in court on Monday with Sergeant Thabo Mosia back on the stand.

Last week, Mosia was grilled about his collection of DNA evidence.

Mosia told the court on Thursday he did not swab the kitchen door for touch DNA analysis.

This is the same door used by the alleged two intruders for entry and exit from the Khumalo house.

Then on Friday Mosia made another revelation.

He said his investigation focused on perpetrators rather than victims.

Natasha Joubert explains why she deserves to be Miss South Africa after being crowned on the 13th of August at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria.

She received R1 million in a cash prize and sponsorship package that includes a serviced apartment at the lavish Brookfield at Royal in Kensington – developed by Tricolt – for the year of her reign. She will also get to drive a Mercedes-Benz GLC as well as go on a trip to Paris sponsored by L’Oreal. Natasha didn’t accept failure after starting her Miss SA journey in 2020, at 22.

“The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, my schedule, drive, and motivation were gone in an instant. An emotional journey and yet one that has built the strongest version of myself that has ever existed.”

“The result was a mindset change and a different perspective than I’d had before. It was growth and experiences I knew I wanted to share with our generation. I’ve never let circumstances determine my narrative”, Joubert explained. Natasha said she deserves to be Miss SA, and she explained the reason for her claim.

“I do not rely on talent but on my work ethic and hard work. We easily forget that this is a process of upliftment, and only focussing on the crown and not the daily successes is where you can easily compare yourself, not have compassion for yourself, and ultimately have self-doubt about your abilities.

Police conduct at Senzo Meyiwa crime scene under the spotlight

Police investigations into the Senzo Meyiwa murder are again in the spotlight.

Crime scene attendent Thabo Mosia was grilled about his collection of DNA evidence.

He’s under cross-examination at the trial against five men accused of killing the soccer star in 2014.

Mosia told the court on Thursday he did not swab the kitchen door for touch DNA analysis.

This is the same door used by the alleged two intruders for entry and exit from the Khumalo house.

And on Friday Mosia made another revelation.

He said his investigation focused on perpetrators rather than victims.

As cross-examination continued, the State objected to defense lawyer Zithulele Nxumalo’s question regarding where in the kitchen Meyiwa was standing during the shooting.

Nxumalo upped the ante, prompting another objection by the State, with the judge also entering the fray.

After the record was played back, the judge was still not convinced by Nxumalo’s argument.

The trial was adjourned to Monday for Mosia’s further cross-examination by another defense lawyer, Zandile Mshololo.
