AKA Throws Shade At Female DJs

Rapper AKA threw major shade at all the female DJs who are currently trending and that did not sit well with social media users. The rapper pointed out that there is a growing number of female DJs right now, which kind of reminds him of the time where femcees were dominating.

The tone in which AKA laid out his thoughts was so bland that people could not figure out if he was throwing shade at them or was just stating the obvious.

“Not so long ago, every second hun was a rapper. Now everyone’s a DJ,” Mega wrote.

His sentiments were not taken lightly as people took it back to his late fiancé’s death. We are not going to touch on that as it is A delicate topic.

Moving right along, this whole topic of female DJs got brought up the momentous rise of Uncle Waffles. She got slammed for not being a DJ but more of a dancer instead. People could not make up if she can really mix or is it just for show.

Stepping in to her defense, DJ Zinhle shared a few words of wisdom for not only her, but for other female DJs. “Female DJs, perfect your art… don’t give them a reason to disrespect your work. Practice makes perfect. With that said, wear whatever you wanna wear & dance if it’s your thing… They are talking because you’re shaking the industry. It’s our time!”

“So sad that you chose to reduce the growth of the female DJ industry to this…I definitely don’t agree with you. I’m actually loving how the girls are making it their own and dominating. Surely there’s something to celebrate here,” DJ Zinhle wrote in response to Umalambane’s shady tweet..

“Being a female DJ these days only requires looks and some sexy dance moves. Nobody cares about your mixing,” he said.

Waffles’ instant fame is currently being tainted by a whole lot of negativity with people choosing to ignore the fact that Waffles’ time has indeed arrived.

AKA Throws Shade At Female DJs

There was a lot of concern regarding the company she is keeping for herself especially the men in her management. She addressed this issue and said on Twitter in a form of a statement.

“I’d just like to say, my team is the biggest blessing in my life when it comes to my career. They go above and beyond for me, the narrative that’s being shared is so disheartening. They have never made me feel uncomfortable or treated me inappropriately.

“Neither has anyone else that’s come into my life, everyone has respected and actually showed me an incredible amount of love. Coming here and having to explain how people who have completely dedicated their lives to helping me grow, guide me, show me love, encourage me, and actually carry me thru all the turmoil of a “blow up” really sucks because of how it’s made them feel” she said.

Uncle Waffles says her moment to shine is being take away from her, “Everything being posted is being twisted and taken out of context, KK and everyone is my family. My moment is being striped away because now people in my life who helped me and believed in me before a lot of people are becoming affected. Even making the decision a few days ago to no longer handle my social media Bc I was becoming overwhelmed and hyper focusing on the hate.”

She says she appreciates the love she is getting from people, “I appreciate all the love above all else, I needed to clarify this. Those are my people who are part of my everyday and have really held me down. Let’s not touch that part. Even typing this with the feeling that it will still be altered sucks as well, genuinely my people love me.”

Popular gospel artist joins church founded by controversial inyanga, Dr Khehlelezi

According to Fikile Mlomo, the struggles she has endured have forced her to find a church that speaks to her spirit.

The gospel star ended up joining Isithelo Sika Jehova, started by controversial inyanga, businessman and presenter Dr Khehlelezi.

Although he has been accused on social media of performing rituals to help gospel stars get rich, Fikile said she did not join the church for the wrong reasons

“My fans know the tears I’ve cried and the pain I’ve been through since I was a little girl. Ever since I joined the church, I’ve been in a good space,” she said.

“Being raised by my grandmother after my mother died was not easy.

“I had to grow up fast. My mother was HIV-positive and I had to nurse her until she died. She has a family but they never helped me.

“When I got into music, I was robbed by the people I trusted.

“I went through miscarriages and abuse in previous relationships. As broken as I was, I needed a church I could call my spiritual home.”

Fikile said when she first met Dr Khehlelezi, she was struck by how warm he was.

She said she had also found love after previous relationships failed.

“I’m in a relationship and I’m happy. My partner and I are not planning to marry or start a family. We are happy as girlfriend and boyfriend.

“Happiness is what is important. There are people who have rings on their fingers but they go to bed with tears every day. I don’t want to rush things. I am enjoying my happiness.”

Fikile also revealed that she never knew her father. “My mother told me my father died just after I was born.

“I don’t know his family and I never looked for each other,” she said.

“It’s clear that they don’t care about me. If they cared, they would have looked for me. Why should I bother looking for them?”

Just How Serious Is Zahara’s Drinking Problem?

Zahara is the stage name of Bulelwa Mkutukana, a South African singer and songwriter. She is said to have had a strong affinity for music since she was a child, beginning her career as a street performer. Her fourth studio album was a commercial triumph.

Her debut album “Loliwe,” released in 2011, became platinum in 13 days and double platinum in 17 days in South Africa, selling over 100,000 copies. It earned her eight awards at the South African Music Awards in April 2012, including “Album of the Year” and “Best Female Artist.”

Just How Serious Is Zahara’s Drinking Problem?

Its her birthday today and we travel with you down memory lane to take a look at some of her highlights from the past year.

Social media users have reacted negatively to a weird video of Zahara singing. This is because the Nyamezela singer appeared to be inebriated and tripping over her words.

Just How Serious Is Zahara’s Drinking Problem?

Zahara had struggled with alcoholism in the past and had made it a point to quit. The singer is received fire after a viral video showing her performing with a group of men, with her appearing to be the only one who was intoxicated.

Zahara was subjected to cruel and derogatory remarks, with some implying that she has an alcohol problem and required assistance. Maphorisa also tweeted that Zahara urgently needed help, but he did it out of worry, saying that people should not judge her because she is going through a lot.

He, like many others, believed the person who shared the video was evil and was attempting to undermine Zahara’s album release.

“Please don’t mess with Zahara; the individual who released the video is a jerk. She is going through a lot and requires assistance. South Africa might be ineffective at times ” he said.

On Mac G’s podcast and Chill series, Zahara finally addressed her claimed “alcoholism.” The singer, was hesitant to discuss the issue because she had been portrayed as an alcoholic for so long.

Mac G teased his on the show, which now airs every Wednesday on Channel O, and stated they have a lot in common, including a fondness for drinking. She admitted to Mac G that she just drank one bottle of wine and that it had knocked her out. She then realized she needed to quit drinking that night because she was extremely inebriated.

The talented vocalist admitted that she began consuming alcohol as a stress reliever, but she has no regrets about anything that has transpired in her life. “I don’t regret the kind of young woman I am now, regardless of who robbed me or how many mistakes I made. It has grown on me, and I now know which steps to take or not. It doesn’t mean I won’t have difficulties; I’m still going to have issues” she went on to say.

After being chastised for performing at an Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) event, Zahara was furious. She had been the subject of negative press for some time, and her fans were livid. Zahara’s only “crime” was performing at a political gathering in order to make ends meet.

For the 2018 municipal elections, various political groups were rallying for votes and support. When Pearl Thusi acknowledged her error, saying she only wanted to put food on the table and had rent to pay when she rallied with the ANC and DA.

Zahara was merely performing at the EFF’s campaign last week, and her “supporters” were outraged, threatening to never support her music again. However, she made it clear that she never received any money from the pandemic relief fund set up to help artists who were suffering financially as a result of the epidemic.

Zahara went on social media to announce her new haircare line, Country Girl, and promised that more information about her new adventure would be forthcoming.

She told IOL that the haircare line is her first commercial venture, of which she owns half.

“They called me up on stage when I was performing and said they wanted to do business with me and create a haircare line since I had great hair.” That’s how the adventure began. “This is my first baby, and it is mine. I used natural components, and my products do not include any chemicals,” she told the outlet.

It wasn’t easy, but you have to wait for God’s timing,” she told the publication about launching this business. “I persisted, and now we’ve arrived. I now have 46 retailers interested in carrying the product. It pays to put in the effort… All I ask is that people test the products out. They’re going to work.”

Zahara also told the publication that she will be releasing more products in the future, including perfume and hand sanitizers.
