Nonku Williams and New Bae

The Real Housewives of Durban’s Nonku Williams has found love guys and we are here for it.

Nonku took to her social media to share cozy snaps with her new lover.

Sorisha, Annie, and Jojo have already met this new man in Nonku’s life and they have given her their stamp of approval.

What are your thoughts on Nonku’s new relationship?

Earlier this year rumours linked the Real Housewives of Durban to sports broadcaster Robert Marawa.

The two shared images where they were seen having a fun time out over wine.

As the rumours started growing legs, Nonku took to social media to set the record straight.

She revealed that she was introduced to Robert by her PR lady who saw it necessary that they meet.
Robert’s fascination for red wine made sense for them to meet seeing how Nonku owns a wine company, A2B Wine.

“I was introduced to Mr. Robert Marawa at the Easter Polo by my PR lady who has recently acquired my portfolio. She felt it was good for both parties to know each. But mostly because she knew Robert has an appreciation of red wine and that I own a wine brand (A2B wine).”

Marawa was left impressed after tasting her wine.

“[This] Past Saturday I was invited to the Standard Bank Polo in Joburg. I had promised to give Robert my red wine collection. Clearly, the wine was superb and Robert appreciated it and gifted me with his MSW (Marawa Sports Worldwide) memorabilia…other than the work, there’s nothing to say. We are colleagues supporting each other’s businesses…”

Nonku burst onto the scene as late Gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane’s side chick.

The two share a daughter by the name Nothile.

Before his untimely death in 2016 following kidney failure, Sfiso was married to Ayanda Ncwane who was in season 1 of the Real Housewives of Durban.
Sfiso and Ayanda got married in 2002, at the time, Ayanda was only 18 years old.

In their fifteen years of marriage, Ayanda and Sfiso were blessed with two children- Ngcweti Ncwane and Mawenza Ncwane.

In season 2 of the #RHODurban, Nonku boldly stated on camera that Sfiso told him he made a mistake by marrying Ayanda.
“I didn’t wanna share this. He told me that he made a mistake by marrying Ayanda. She further said Sfiso said, “I want you, I wanna get back together with you.”

LaConco slammed for gloating about this saying that some men tell lies to get back with some women.

Mzansi Reality TV star and businesswoman, Nonku Williams got dragged on social media on Saturday 4 June for an Instagram post that many felt was “insensitive” towards her daughter, Nothile Ncwane.

An Instagram post that Nonku, 42, felt was innocent and probably playful garnered a lot of backlash from fans.

The Real Housewives of Durban star took to IG to post pictures of herself and her daughter, Nothile Ncwane, 15, whom she shares with late gospel musician, Sifiso Ncwane. In the images, the pair seem to be out enjoying some mommy and daughter time at Highbury Preparatory School in Hillcrest, Durban – where they reside.

“Ok. I can’t tell…who’s the mother between the two” Nonku captioned the photos.

Twitter and Instagram users did not appreciate Nonku’s post, with many claiming she is contributing to her daughter’s self-esteem issues that she may already be encountering.

A tweep, who captioned Nonku’s tweet, asked if she was being hypersensitive for thinking that the caption was off. To which several tweeps, agreed that it was indeed off.

“You are not hypersensitive she can’t do that already her teenage daughter has to worry about weight and now her mom comparing them now it’s not on. Her caption should have said best friends not that,” one tweep responded.

“Imagine this being my mom, yoh now I can’t help but think about how this girl is probably getting bullied every day by her mom. The funniest thing about being fat is having skinnier older women swear up and down that they look younger than you. Like ma’am I don’t care please,” another tweep said.

With the backlash piling up in her mentions, Nonku wrote a follow-up post defending herself and her daughter.

“Normally I wouldn’t respond to such comments but for the sake of my beloved daughter, I have to say PEOPLE CALM THE HECK DOWN!!!! She is my daughter! I know her more than any of you so please….I love her more than life itself. Please let’s all deal with OUR OWN ISSUES…REST,” Nonku lashed out.

There’s also a video making the rounds on social media of the two sharing drinks and looking cosy at a nightclub. This was shared by entertainment commentator Musa Khawula.
The two television personalities are yet to confirm if anything is happening between them.

Nonku Williams gained popularity in the first season of The Real Housewives of Durban. She stunned many after revealing that she was the late Gospel star, Sfiso Ncwane’s baby mama.

In the second season of the reality television show, Nonku dropped a bombshell after claiming that Sfiso told her that she made a mistake by marrying Ayanda.

“I didn’t wanna share this. He told me that he made a mistake by marrying Ayanda. I want you, I wanna get back together with you.”

Ayanda, who was in the first season of The Real Housewives of Durban explained to Daily Sun the reason she left the show.

“I recently saw a headline that only associated me with the Real Housewives of Durban, and I got annoyed because I have worked so hard building a brand of being a music executive. So for me to be associated with something so small whereas I have worked so hard did not sit well with me, and I decided that the show is not for me as I don’t want to be reduced to just being a housewife, while I have worked so hard for everything that I have,” she revealed.

Before the interview, an insider said, “She feels like the show doesn’t respect her hubby’s legacy, which is something she has been trying to preserve. She carries the show, they are going to have to find someone as strong and as interesting as her brand,” she told the publication.

Reality star and businesswoman Nonku Williams admitted to using alcohol as an escape and being on anxiety pills on the latest episode of Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) which premiered on Friday 15 April.

Nonku Williams made some startling revelations on the latest episode of RHOD. Throughout the season, Nonku was accused of causing drama at events and the ladies thought she had a drinking problem.

The businesswoman revealed that she has a lot going on in life and therefore, she has been using alcohol as an escape. This was during the ladies day out at the Valley of the Waves in Sun City, after discussing LaConco’s alleged lies about Petal.

“I’ve been meaning to bring up… I don’t know if this is the platform because things are a bit intense now. So maybe I needed this moment right here. I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it but I had a lengthy talk with Sorisha,” she said.

“I’ve been hinting that I’m going through some stuff… because there is just a lot on my plate. A lot of things that I’m dealing with, you know? Being a single parent and there’s is a lot on me. I don’t want to call it a burden but at times I just feel so alone that I had to really, really look into this thing (consuming alcohol) that you guys said you were concerned about,” she continued.

Nonku also revealed that she has been living on anxiety pills because of the way she had been feeling.

“I can maybe say or confess that at times I will drink to escape reality. There are times where it just gets too much… I live on anxiety pills by the way. I take them to go to bed,” she added.

‘The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD)’ star Nonku Williams has fired back at her critics and told them not to judge her because of what they see on the show. She insisted that people only see less than 20 percent of her life on the Showmax reality show, which is inadequate for anyone to judge her by.

Nonku said that she has had enough of social media trolls and people who make nasty comments about her online. The RHOD star insisted that she can not let certain things remain unchallenged and will now be speaking out for herself.

The RHOD housewife’s sentiments come at a time when Nonku and her mom have come under severe criticism from fans of the show. Some fans of the show are so angry at the mother and daughter that they want them to be booted off the show barely 48 hours into the new season.

Fans have accused Nonku and her mother, Queen, of being cruel. This comes after the pair demanded that inhlawulo (damages) be paid for Nonku’s daughter by Ayanda Ncwane. They argued that since her late husband, Sifiso, impregnated Nonku’s child, she is also responsible for the payments.

After getting excoriated on social media for this, Nonku Williams issued a statement saying “enough is enough” and called on people not to judge her based on what she does on RHOD. She insisted that the reality show only shows about 20 percent of her life.

Writing on Instagram, Nonku said:

Allow me to re-introduce myself. My name is Nonkululeko Williams. I’m loved, blessed and highly favoured woman of The Most High God! I’m blessed with 3 amazing beautiful children. I have siblings and parents that love me unconditionally. I’m a respected business woman and work very hard to provide for my family.

For a long time, I have kept quiet and not responded to some of the most insinuating comments on social media, but it’s time I speak up. I have a voice, and as long as I have breath in my body I will never stop speaking and saying enough is enough..enough of cyber bullying, and people thinking they are entitled to someone’s life they know nothing about.

The 20% of my life that people see on screens think entitles them to make judgements and conclusions about my life is beyond me and their level of reasoning. I can only conclude this by saying it’s a reflection of who they are and how they perceive themselves. I can only thank The Mighty God who has approved of me and loves me so much that others 2cents opinions of me have no effect on me whatsoever, in fact I can only pray for them. If Jesus, The King of Glory was ridiculed and spat on, who am I?

For those that love, understand and support me I thank you and am grateful to you, and those that don’t I thank you as you serve as a reminder that helps my faith grow stronger in The Lord.

A blessed Sunday to you. Love you all.

Reality TV star Nonku Williams says she has a lot to offer in the second season of The Real Housewives of Durban, sharing a message of inspiration and hope.

While Nonku has frequently found herself at the top of Twitter’s trends list because of the show, she told a local publication she was happy to make a return after having developed a thick skin.

“I really do enjoy the show with all its flaws. I’ve grown so much from the first season. I’ve learnt to develop a thick skin and I’ve learnt to understand that not everyone is for you and that’s OK. My main reason for being on the show is my message.

“I really think that my story is very inspirational. I get a lot of direct messages on social media with people asking me for advice and asking me how I do it as a mother of three with all the challenges I faced. I suppose I give them hope and that’s so satisfying for me,” she said.

Nonku added that she was still healing from all the challenges she’s faced in life.

“I’m a work in progress. I won’t say I have totally healed from the things that I’ve been through. I am seeing professional help in terms of dealing with my feelings so my message is going to heal a lot of people.”

Addressing claims made on social media recently that she wouldn’t have much to bring to the show because of Ayanda Ncwane’s exit, Nonku said she had a lot to offer on the show.

“I saw people speaking of my obsession with Ayanda and I don’t know where that is coming from. Bringing up Sifiso in the first season was only for my daughter’s sake for me and her to get closure, which I did in a way but that was not my only content.”

New cast members who have joined the show include Londie London, wife of businessman Hlubi Nkosi, and artist Jojo Robinson who is married to former SA kick-boxing champion Calven Robinson.

Nonku said she got along mostly with radio personality Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku, married to popular polygamist Musa Mseleku.

“I’m definitely more comfortable in this season. There are some new ladies that came on board, so having to learn new people again is yet another aspect. I really like Thobile and a lot of people will be surprised. I think we gel well because she is mature, I don’t know if it’s a mutual feeling but on my side, I really do gel well with her.

“With the other ladies making their return, you’d find that we clash a lot with people. Their demons get irritated by my spirit. People like to say drama follows me wherever I go, my only sin is that I speak my mind, I don’t mince my words and people can expect that a lot because I don’t fear anything.”

Season 2 of Real Housewives of Durban premieres first and only on Showmax from January 28 2022, with new episodes following every Friday.

The doctor said my eggs were rotten – RHOD star Nonku Williams shares her struggle to have kids

It’s still one of the topics that are seen as taboo in some families. Talking about fertility can be quite stressful and painful for some.

But more and more people are opening up about their journeys. One of them is Real Housewives of Durban star Nonku Williams (41), who recently wished her last born son, a happy fourth birthday.

She called him her miracle baby after as she gave birth to him after two failed in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures.

Before going for IVF, Nonku already had two kids, one from a previous relationship and one from her marriage. She and her ex-husband wanted to have one more child, but she learned after three years of trying to conceive that she was unable to have any more children.

“The doctor used the word rotten to describe my eggs. He told me my eggs were rotten and I would no longer be able to conceive naturally,” Nonku tells Drum.

Under pressure to conceive, Nonku decided to try in vitro fertilization (IVF), which is a series of procedures used to help with fertility and assist with the conception of a child.

“I had two IVFs that were both unsuccessful,” she says.

“I was trying for my last born. My husband and I had been trying the natural way for three years but were unsuccessful. I had two healthy children before then, conceived naturally, no complications even in my pregnancy, I carried them for the full nine months term, with no disabilities and my period was normal. But when we struggled with the last born, I was told about rotten eggs,” Nonku says.

With a three-year frustration and going back and forth to see her doctor, she was advised to try IVF.

“I was desperate to keep my marriage and very stressed. I didn’t even bother to think of going for a second opinion because I was under pressure to make the marriage work,” she says.

“Before going for IVF, you are taken through the steps where you are told you need not be stressed as this may affect the process,” Nonku says.

“But I was permanently stressed and anxious because I needed this to work. My ex-husband was putting pressure on carrying the family name and I wanted to save the marriage. But the entire process was very stressful, and I didn’t have the support that I needed,” Nonku says.

With IVF, eggs are extracted from the body and fertilised with the sperm, and then put back into the uterus.

“For the first seven days, I was given hormones to inject in my stomach every six hours, at the exact hour. A female is born with eggs, the eggs shed off every time you have your period, they then extracted nine eggs, and five survived. In the meantime, the sperm is ready. After a few days, they put them in a lab for the fertilisation process,” Nonku says.

Hoping and praying that the eggs would be successfully fertilised, she and her husband waited.

“When that is done, they put them back in the uterus and you wait for 21 days,” Nonku says.

While waiting, she could not control her stress levels.

“I was anxious and depressed from the pressure because I did not have the support I needed at the time. The process was very traumatic and stressful,” she says.

After 21 days of waiting and praying, the process was unsuccessful.

“I had my period,” she says.

“I remember, I was at the shopping mall and traumatised seeing blood run down my leg. I felt like such a failure and going back home to tell my ex-husband was the worst because I felt the pressure of having to give birth,” she says.

Without wasting any time, the next day she was back to see her gynaecologist to try again.

“The next day my ex-husband woke me up and said we needed to go try again. I did not have time to heal or process the information but was put under pressure to make sure I conceive.”

The second time also did not work out.

“I don’t know if this was caused by the amount of stress and pressure I felt. But it did out work out and I was devastated again,” she says. “The process was not cheap and the emotional burden I carried without support was too much.

“But after having given up, three months later, I fell pregnant naturally,” Nonku says.

Today Nonku has three beautiful children.

“Four years later, he is healthy, intelligent, and incredibly smart. He is always ahead of all my children and he was even the first to start walking,” Nonku says.

“But for me, I believe many factors came into play; the stressful marriage, and not going for a second opinion from a doctor might have been the reason. I don’t know but all I know is that I gave birth to a miracle baby, who I call Phendulile because he changed everything and gave me so much joy,” Nonku says.

Nonku took to Instagram to share the beautiful reunion her daughter had with her late father.

She captioned the beautiful picture of her daughter standing gracefully next to her father’s grave with the words, “God being God listened to my silent prayer and answered it. Sfiso may not be alive today but this moment right here I felt the heavens opening up its doors and proclaiming the wonders of God! All things are possible with GOD.”

On Twitter, The Real Housewives Of Durban has been trending since its latest episode with people applauding the ladies for their personalities.

The one who caught many people’s attention was Nonku who made a lasting impression on viewers. She gave the impression that she disliked Ayanda because they shared a lover. This is what Tweeps had to say:

“I actually thought Nonku would be the drama queen of the season. But Sis is actually a really nice person, ” a tweep wrote.

“I think it’s weird that people want Nonku & Ayanda to be at war, or that one of them is being fake. Not wearing your emotions on your sleeve doesn’t mean a person is being fake. Choosing peace, forgiveness and kindness doesn’t mean a person is fake. It’s called growth #RHODurban”

“Nonku is growing on me. She annoyed me at first because I thought she was there to create unnecessary drama but I actually like her now,”

Many thought the two were feuding however Ayanda Ncwane’s brother Phupho Gumede laid all the rumours to rest.

“Well there you have it, Nonku & Ayanda have a history that’s being concealed on the show. So that first reaction was uuuuuhm … New lady just let slip,” a tweep wrote. Then Phupho defended his sister by saying, “Yall love drama. Ayanda got saved and became a Christian hence she broke up with Sfiso because she couldn’t jola as a Christian. Then during that time Sfiso and Nonku dated and had a kid. Then a couple of months down the line Sfiso also got saved and married Ayanda.”

“So there really is no ‘history’ between Ayanda and Nonku, no one got cheated on so maybe drop the narrative you’ve created in your head.”
