MaMkhize responds to unpaid salary allegations

ROYAL AM boss Shauwn “MaMkhize” has denied claims of unpaid salaries at his club.

Royal AM was among the most talked-about team this week on social media after reports that some players have not been paid.

However, the club owner took it to Instagram to deny the allegations.

According to the statement, only eight players were not able to be paid due to contract complications.

She said: I wish to clarify some of the damning allegations that were made:

Our match with AmaZulu FC was cancelled due to medical issues the AmaZulu team were having which I am not at liberty to discuss further but feel free to reach them for a comment.

(Only) eight players were not able to receive payment due to issues with their contracts needing to be finalised. The matter is ongoing and (will) being sorted hence we have personally called the (players’) union President to come and assist

Players that are sharing rooms is out of choice not because we forced them to. They are friends and they asked to be put in the same room. I fail to see why this is even being reported on.

We are not responsible for housing players and their families. They are professional players who earn salaries and are liable for their housing arrangements. We provide accommodation in-season when the team is camping at the base.

I know journalists have some code “never reveal my source”, my advice is to make sure that your “source” knows what they are talking about! Royal AM has a full team of people that are qualified to comment and verify on any queries or questions you may have.
I really hope that journalists and media houses that wish to write about me, my family or my team will do a better job in ensuring that they publish facts and not hearsay.

Following court battles with PSL which lasted for months, in August Royal AM bought Bloemfontein Celtics’ PSL status with all the players who were still contracted to the club as well as staff members.

Businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize has penned a heart-warming letter to “daughter” Siphokazi ”Sposh” Mkhize on her birthday, saying she is proud of her growth despite not being able to celebrate due to the violence ensuing in SA.

Taking to Instagram with a heartfelt letter, the star said she is proud of her daughter, who is the team manager of Royal AM Football Club, for blossoming into a great leader.

“I must say I’m loving the woman you are becoming, you’ve constantly proven yourself to be a fierce leader on and off the field. I am so proud to call you my daughter, even though sometimes you are so stubborn,” she said.

Shauwn went on to lament how she, along with their loved ones, couldn’t celebrate her trip around the sun as riots and violence continues across SA.

But she made sure to add that the party would happen once there was an end in sight to the turmoil.

“I pray that God’s light continues shining through you. We love you Sposh! It’s sad we are unable to celebrate you because of what is happening in our country, you are always on the front row to plan something special among all the family members we tried to return the gesture but we fail! As soon as everything settles down we will still celebrate you” she wrote.

Shauwn is all about her family, and makes sure to let the world know about her love.

Recently, the star took to Instagram to gush about her granddaughter, daughter of Andile Mpisane and Sithelo Shozi, on her first birthday.

In an emotional post about becoming a grandmother, the star revealed that she already has so much love for her baby girl and will protect her at all costs.

“Today is a very special day for me as this time last year, our family tree was extended.”

“Dear world, please meet our princess, Baby Flo. Wishing her a very happy 1st birthday and I can officially tell you I’m the happiest granny in the world,” Shauwn wrote.

Shauwn admitted that she wasn’t prepared for Flo but her natural grandma instincts have definitely kicked in since she arrived!

“I was never ready nor prepared but boy oh boy. I never understood the affect and joy that she would bring to our family. I would do anything and everything in my power to protect her from this world as she is one of the things I call my place of safety and comfort. Every time when I come home and I see her my day is full,” said Shauwn.

Trouble in paradise: Baby mama Sithelo Shozi breathes fire as MaMkhize’s son Andile now dates Amapiano star Kamo Mphela

The popular amapiano artist Kamo Mphela‘s prayers may have been answered, as the Nkulunkulu hitmaker is alleged to have found love in the arms of Royal AM football club chairperson Andile Mpisane.

Following much speculation surrounding the pair’s closeness, sources in their circle have revealed that they have been secretly dating for four months.

“Kamo’s at eThekweni every weekend that she isn’t booked to perform somewhere else,” said a source.

“She’s younger, so the family’s obviously more affectionate towards her and even Ma Mkhize doesn’t mind her existence in Andile’s life.”

Mphela’s phone went unanswered on Friday and she did not respond to messages sent to her. Mpisane’s phone was also off and his team manager, Bright Hlongwa, did not return calls.

Another source claimed that the young couple could not keep their hands off each other when they were spotted at a luxurious nightclub in Morningside, Durban, three weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the mother of Mpisane’s one-year-old daughter, DJ Sithelo Shozi, has allegedly been moved to the family’s Pietermaritzburg home.

“They bought her a Mercedes-Benz G-Class and told her to stay in the Pietermaritzburg family home, which is also their clubhouse. Andile sees her once in a while when she’s there with the team,”the source added.

“She was asked to leave their home in KwaMhlanga. She stays close by so that the family can have easy access to the child.”

The 27-year-old musician confirmed her relationship with Mpisane in March on his 20th birthday through social media, much to the dismay of his followers, who slammed her for dating him when he was just a teenager.

Asked to comment on Friday, Shozi declined to do so and later accused the publication of harassment.

“Don’t ever call me, no matter what happens. I never said I dated Andile. You can make up your own theories and phantom stories. Confirm them with people who told you,” she said.

Mpisane’s mother, Shauwn Mkhize, was unavailable for comment.

Her close associate and stylist, Shaun Andile Naki, said she was busy at the clubhouse and he would ask her to return our call. She had not done so by the time of going to press.

Kwa Mam’Mkhize star Shauwn Mkhize has shared her grandmother status for the first time publicly after a year of keeping mum.

Mamkhize was rumoured to not be happy about Andile and Sithelo’s relationship because of the seven-year difference between them. But when celebrating Flo’s birthday on Instagram, she said although she wasn’t expecting her arrival, she’d do anything to protect her.

MaMkhize Slams Haters Doubting Her ‘star’ Power – ‘I’m Like A Dark Horse’

Shauwn revealed that she uses the negative comments against her as motivation to prove to people she can be really successful at areas they expect her to fail.

Speaking in an interview with TshisaLive Shauwn said:

I’m like a dark horse, when I enter a place people always question me.

I actually like it when people just look at me and count me out. I always like it when people have negative things to say because I always come up and surprise them. That’s my nature. I thrive when I succeed where people least expect me too …

She went further to reflect on all her achievements in areas people expected her to fail.

I mean who would have thought that I would become so much of a success at my age? Who would have thought that I would come onto social media and do so well as a businesswoman? No-one. No-one believed that I would do what I did when I entered what was considered “men’s’ territory” — owning a soccer team, the construction business.

Shauwn added that it was easy for her haters to attribute her success in other areas to her wealth.

Look, the truth of the matter is if you are making money it means you are putting in the necessary effort because you can never make money by just sitting at the corner. You must go out there and hustle hard. If you go out there, you will be noticed.

I mean, come to think of it: who had come onto social media and accumulated followers in just a year’s time? It’s obvious there’s something about me and it’s not just about the money. After months of speculation that renowned Durban-born DJ Sithelo Shozi, is in a relationship with Andile Mpisane, the influencer has decided to make things official, saving us all from speculating all the time.

Mamkhize even set the record straight.

I don’t know anything about Andile’s girlfriends. We are very open to each other but I can’t be telling him who he must date and who he can’t date. Andile is still young and I can’t involve myself in his private affairs,” said Shauwn.

Not only Andile enjoyed the perks of being spoiled on his birthday but he also showcased his heart of gold by revealing that he has started an initiative to assist students who have historic debts at universities. The soccer star will be donating R200,000 to help 20 university students pay for their previous debts.

As a young chairman, my focus has been on seeing team @royalam_fc grow but we cannot neglect the difficult year we’ve had because of COVID as it has resulted in many people being left unemployed and in unfavorable financial situations. Sithelo and Andile had been keeping their relationship private for the longest time but they have been hinting on social media that they are a pair. The two have a baby girl together. Andile has been splurging his money on his baby to show her that he has her back and we love to see this.
