Mzansi media personality Lerato Kganyago almost involved in a car accident

Mzansi media personality Lerato Kganyago aka LKG or mother speaks about her car moment when a taxi suddenly stopped in front of her, which led to her nearly driving off-road while on her way to the gym.

The radio host well-known for her threats to sue and call her lawyers on people to say calmness is important. We are guessing that she has dealt with her own tendency to react to people’s actions.

Lerato said had she snapped, she would have failed because she allowed someone else to trigger her emotions, because such is not supposed to be dependent on anybody’s actions or what they say, or not do.

“The moment you start giving anyone the power to make you cry, make you sad, or make you happy. You have given them way too much access to you that they become in control of your mood and emotions”, she said.

She added: “Take charge of your emotions, don’t let anyone take charge of your emotions. You are responsible for how you feel and for what you react to. You are responsible for what irritates you and what makes you angry.

Lerato went further to say, ‘so just a quick one I just had a moment now, while driving into the gym, and a taxi cut in front of me abruptly and I nearly went off-road, but I remained calm“.

Lerato was giving advice to everyone to take care of their emotions, something that brings happiness to oneself at the end of the day.

The good news is that the radio host and businesswoman is alive and was not involved in an accident.

Media Personality Lerato Kganyago Calls Out Avon For Copying Her LKG Products

Metro FM personality Lerato Kganyago was left dumbfounded after a popular make-up and cosmetics brand copied her Flutter business. Taking to her social media this past weekend pointed out that Avon copied her name ‘Flutter’ when introducing their own eyebrow range.

Media Personality Lerato Kganyago Calls Out Avon For Copying Her LKG Products

Avon’s eyelash range is part of their new offering and to market it well, they put it on special. Another eyebrow raiser is the fact that even the “real” price will be cheaper to compared to the original. However, this can be accredited to the fact that the style of Avon’s range is not the original Flutter by LKG.

Even though the name could have been a coincidence, the packaging too is very alarming. They used her exact same colours. Imagine!

The personality however said her hands are tied and there is not much she can do about it. In explaining why, she basically stated that the company found the loopholes and exploited- our words not hers. The B-side eyelash range used just the word “flutter” which is not unique to Kganyago’s “Flutter by LKG,” therefore she too has no option but to watch it all unfold and hope that her market remains loyal.

Lerato Kganyago Fights Period Poverty

Lerato Kganyago has always been passionate about helping the girl child and young women fight period poverty. She has put her plan in motion to help make sanitary care accessible to women who come from impoverished backgrounds.
With the introduction of the Flutter By LKG sanitary pads brand, which is an addition to her Flutter family, the DJ has decided to put her philanthropic ways to good use by giving back to charities.

Fun Fact: Her sanitary pads are manufactured by a black female entrepreneur, whose company is run exclusively by black women! How amazing is that?

The Period Poverty Benefit Concert was a platform she, celebrities and other well-known DJ’s, including President Cyril Ramaphosa were using to put an end to period poverty. The virtual concert took place last night on the 5th, and the dress code was red.

Everyone in attendance promised to donate 100 sanitary pads each to a charity organisation of their choice. Speaking about the event, she said, “Not being able to go to school or earn a living simply because you do not have access to sanitary pads is heartbreaking. This challenge can be so easily resolved.

“I hope that this event will help play a small but pivotal role in helping us all join together to fight period poverty, and therefore help young girls and women realise their dreams,” she added.

Last year for her birthday, Lerato Kganyago donated sanitary pads to girls in different provinces starting in Hammanskraal, Tshwane, where she gave away 200 sanitary pads to a non-profit organisation called Ubuhle be’Ntombi zeNgcuce.

In addition, as part of her her 67 minutes for Mandela, LKG together with the Mayor of Ekurhuleni Mzwandile Masina, distributed sanitary pads with an estimated worth of R120 000 to communities in Daveyton, and donated 12 000 pads to surrounding areas. They also donated 67 food parcels and 3 000 face masks. In total, she has donated 60 000 pads.

To celebrate she took to Twitter to write, “Thousands of #FlutterbyLKG pads where distributed in Hamaanskraal, Ekhuruleni and KZN. Women’s sexual and reproductive health are not just women’s issues, they are societal issues. Flutter’s main objective is to uplift our society, one female at a time. The journey continues…”

Speaking about making her pads available in different parts of the country, starting with Namibia, the good sis wrote, “Millions can’t afford to maintain menstrual health. We’re fortunate to be able to play a role in the eradication of period poverty in SA, one home at a time,” tweeted Lerato.
