Lamiez Holworthy And Khuli Chana Reveal Their Son’s Name

Lamiez Holworthy has been slowly returning to work after she welcomed her first child with legendary rapper husband Khuli Chana back in April 2023. This was after the Metro FM personality confirmed having given birth to their bundle of joy after a month since the birth of their first child together as Kuli already has a daughter from his first marriage.

Lamiez Holworthy and her husband Khuli Chana celebrate their son’s 1st month on Earth. The couple kept the birth of their bundle of joy a secret until he reached one month. Fans speculated that Lamiez had already given birth after they spotted her without her baby bump.

Taking to Instagram, the couple shared the news that their baby boy had already arrived, a month ago. Khuli shared an image of the two of them at a restaurant with a cake wishing the boy a happy 1st month.

At the time, it seemed that the couple was intent on keeping the infant’s name to themselves until the right time to reveal the name. However, it seems that they are now committed to making sure that the public is aware of their baby’s special name.

Following the celebration of “Pumpkin’s” first month being born. Lamiez had used her subsequent post to confirm their son’s name.

In the lengthy post, Lamiez shared some touching words by writing:

“A little while ago, I got to experience an answered prayer, one that I still marvel over. I find myself staring at him in awe, in disbelief that this perfect little human came from my body. I then get to watch his dad and my mom sing and play with him and my heart melts all over again-seeing how much joy he’s brought to all our loved ones warms my heart.”

Since this post, Lamiez recently returned to Instagram with yet another post on how her son has acclimatized to being the son of an in-demand media personality. This is as Lamiez recently took Leano to his first photoshoot.
As such, she could not believe just how well-behaved he was during the festivities of shooting content. As such, she shared again in a lengthy post:
“My little guy was so well behaved on set…Well except for when he peed all over Shikoletseka’s studio whilst I was changing him.”

Lamiez had previously shared the Mother’s Day images that she had shot with her mother and featured in the images was none other than Leano for his first professional photoshoot. Given how the mother loves shooting content, it is only a matter of time until he is featured in yet another one in the near future.

The couple marked major milestones in a day, which is the celebration of their 3rd year wedding anniversary and pregnancy. Khuli labeled it the happiest day of his life, and further eulogised his wife, who is an expectant mother.

Khuli Chana and Lamiez Holworthy are expecting a baby as they announced the pregnancy while celebrating their 3rd year wedding anniversary on Wednesday night.

Lamiez showed off her baby bump in body-con dresses rocked at the special event. The baby’s gender was also revealed to be a boy as blue coloured pieces were blown into the air, and a baby shoe was also revealed to confirm the news.

Rapper Khuli Chana says his wife, TV presenter and DJ Lamiez Holworthy, played a great role in his comeback because she wants him to shine. The rapper sat down for an interview with Maps Maponyane on his new show — Mzansi Icons — that airs on Mzansi Magic.

Maps asked Khuli about his Buyile track and he used this opportunity to heap appreciation on his wife. “My wife had a great impact in this comeback. First, just the reinvention. I’m blessed with a loving woman — somebody who gets a kick out of making her man shine. And that’s how I grew my confidence back.”

He said Lamiez contributed in a big way to his rebirth.

Lamiez and Khuli have been together for 4 years and are both raising Khuli’s daughter from a previous relationship.

How they met is one for the books and how Khuli pursued her is also a good story to tell. Their first date had all her favourites which include a bouquet of tulips, and Mickey Mouse teddy bear and a book.

Khuli Chana has revealed that he is working on his new studio. Taking to social media, the singer announced he is working on opening a space that will be in full use soon. Khuli said it is still under construction and he also needs some cool furniture.

He did not say much but many of his fans and other celebrities are excited for him on his new move.

WATCH: Khuli Chana shuts down Konka with new single

Motswako legend Khuli Chana celebrated the release of his new single, “Take Care”, with a headline performance at popular Soweto nightclub Konka on Sunday.

“Take Care” features Rémy Producers’ winning producer Profound and platinum-selling Afropop star Manu WorldStar and sees Khuli once again fusing amapiano with his style of motswako rap.

This is Khuli’s second radio single this year after “Buyile” featuring Tyler ICU, Lady Du and Stino LeThwenny.

Khuli rolled back the years with performances of several of his classics over the course of his illustrious career.

Videos on social media showed him performing anthems such as “No More Hunger”, “Tswa Daar” and the appropriately titled “Konka”.

Amapiano DJ Mr. JazziQ was a co-headliner alongside Khuli.

The show was hosted by Kefilwe Mabote.

After a quiet 2020, Khuli has been back in the spotlight this year following the success of the amapiano-influenced single “Buyile”.

His last studio album, 2019’s “Planet of the Have Nots”, featured stand-out singles “Basadi” featuring Cassper Nyovest, and “Holding On or Forever Hold Your Peace” featuring A-REECE.

Earlier in the year, Khuli’s record label Mythrone Records announced a joint venture with Universal Music Group Africa.

The new deal saw Khuli reuniting with former long-time manager Refiloe Ramogase.

As has become a weekly theme, there were also a few videos circulating of big spenders splurging on expensive bottles of champagne at Konka on Sunday.
