Rap star Kanye West is eager to rekindle his romance with his estranged wife. The 41-year-old TV star – who has North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two, with the rapper – filed for divorce earlier this year, but Kanye is desperate to rekindle their romance and he recently bought a R70 million home on the same street as his estranged wife.

A source told “Entertainment Tonight”: “Kanye really wanted to buy a home near Kim and their kids to be close to them. Kanye saw a house on Kim’s block was on the market and jumped at the chance to get it.”

Kanye feels it will be “easier to co-parent with Kim if they live close to each other. The “Stronger” hitmaker also “wants to win” Kim back. The source added: “Kanye believes he still has a chance.

“Kim is fine with Kanye buying the home because she feels like it will be easier to co-parent and watch their kids in privacy. A source recently explained: “Kim and Pete are getting serious. Things have definitely escalated quickly but in a healthy, fun way. Right now, they are just enjoying their time together and seeing where things go.

“Kim doesn’t want to rush into anything too serious but she is enjoying the early stages [of her new relationship with Pete]. They are super smitten over each other though, that’s for sure

Kanye West has insisted he and his children don’t want him to get divorced from Kim Kardashian West, despite her filing to end their marriage earlier this year.

The 44-year-old rapper’s wife Kim Kardashian West – with whom he has North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and two-year-old Psalm – submitted documents to end their marriage in February, but the “Stronger” hitmaker insisted he hasn’t seen the paperwork and both he and his kids don’t want the separation.

Speaking on Revolt TV’s “Drink Champs”, Kanye – who recently changed his name to Ye – referred to the digs Kim made in her “Saturday Night Live” monologue about her divorce and said: “‘SNL’ making my wife say, ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off… And I ain’t never even see the papers, we not even divorced.
Insisting the divorce was “no joke to me”, he added: “My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together.”

Kanye went on to claim “the media” didn’t want him and Kim to be together and said he’d spoke to his pastor about his marriage and “wanting to put his family back together. The “Bound 2” hitmaker revealed he had confronted Drake on a group text – which included Kim, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Travis Scott and Jay-Z – about the “Hotline Bling” singer’s lyrics suggesting he had slept with the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star.

“One of the lines I said that was legend was, ‘I’m worth more than all of y’all on this text combined’… I had this conversation with Drake that’s like, ‘I never f***** Kim,’ but I was like, ‘But you acted like you did… Did you ever DM her? Everything else around it—you know, ’cause it ain’t about just the actual act of it.

The new-look was revealed just after hours after it was announced he had legally changed his name to Ye, with no middle or last name.

Kanye West has gone by Ye for years, but now he wants to make it official. The eccentric rapper, 44, formally filed a petition to change his name from his moniker Kanye Omari West to just Ye, with no middle name or last name, according to Los Angeles Superior Court documents obtained by The Associated Press.

West cited ”personal reasons” for the change. The docs were dated Aug. 11 but not sent into the court system until Tuesday. A judge must approve before the petition before it becomes official. This is not the first time West has tried to drop his full name. In 2018, the rapper announced on Twitter that he’s no longer “the being formally known as Kanye West… I am YE.”

And it was recently claimed the former couple – who split in February this year when Kim filed for divorce following seven years of marriage – have a “friendly relationship” but are not “getting back together”.

An insider said: “Kim and Kanye have a friendly relationship. It’s always been important to Kim to have a good relationship with Kanye. They are not getting back together though. Kanye West has unfollowed his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian West, and her family on social media after she filed for divorce from him in February.

The 44-year-old rapper has taken the next step in making his split from Kim official, as he’s now removed the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star and her family members – including mother Kris Jenner, brother Rob Kardashian, and sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner – from the list of people he follows on Twitter.

Kim is still currently the only person Kanye follows on Instagram.

The 40-year-old reality star filed for divorce from the Yeezy founder in February, and during Thursday’s episode of her family’s E! series, she opened up on why she decided to pull the plug after almost seven years of marriage.

In the scenes, which were filmed in October, Kim said: “I just want total happiness.

“Obviously, I know complete bliss is not a full reality but if I can have it more the majority of the time, that’s all I want to do.

“Wherever that takes me I just want my pure happiness, so that’s what I’m working on: figuring out how to get there.

“I just feel I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I wanted to and I lived up to my expectations and achieved 10 times more than I even thought was humanly possible but I don’t have a life to share that with.”

The Skims founder – who has has North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three and two-year-old Psalm with the rapper – also admitted turning 40 made her examine her life and realise she wasn’t happy about the fact she and the “Stronger” hitmaker were leading separate lives as she was still based in California while he was living on their ranch in Wyoming.

She said: “I never thought I was lonely, and I always thought that’s totally fine, I can just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state and I’m on this ride with him and I was OK with that.

“And then after turning 40 this year I realised, no, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state to me. I thought, ‘oh my God, that’s when we’re getting along the best’.

“But that is sad to me and that’s not what I want. I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me.”

Following their split, Kanye has also sparked romance rumours with Irina Shayk.

Kanye West is the richest Black man in U.S. history, according to new reports by People and Bloomberg.

West’s net worth is estimated at $6.6 billion, in large part due to his Yeezy sneaker business, which Bloomberg places between $3.2 billion and $4.7 billion after reviewing private documents. Bloomberg also reports that West’s upcoming Gap collab could be worth as much as $970 million, with additional income coming from his music catalog, cash, stocks and business investments such as estranged wife Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS underwear brand.

Documents also reveal that Gap expects West’s clothing and apparel collection to break $150 million in sales in its first full year in 2022. The company also envisions it becoming a billion dollar revenue brand within 8 years, with potential to exceed $1 billion as soon as 2023. Sales for Yeezy’s Adidas sneakers have continued to grow during the pandemic, increasing nearly 31% to nearly $1.7 billion in annual revenue last year. Yeezy’s footwear partnership with Adidas currently runs through 2026.

West’s Yeezy line with Gap is expected to launch as early as this July. Adidas introduced and sold out of its latest Yeezy sneaker model, the 450, earlier this month.

Kanye West has lost over 100,000 followers on Twitter. The ‘Bound 2’ rapper has managed to drop from 31 million followers to 30. 9 million followers and he has said he has been “held” at that level, seemingly hinting at a wider conspiracy theory whilst he has less followers.

Taking to the microblogging platform, he shared a screenshot of his profile and wrote alongside it: “I was at 31 million followers 4 weeks ago and now I’ve been held at 30.9 million followers for the last 4 weeks. Meanwhile, Kanye recently insisted he believes God wants him to run for president of the United States.

The 43-year-old rapper said: “I believe that my calling is to be the leader of the free world. Even though I’m the pastor for however big my audience is in hip-hop, in music or just as an influencer or celebrity, a dad and a husband in my house – there couldn’t be a better time to put a visionary in the captain’s chair. And that’s not to say we haven’t had visionaries before. I’m not here to down Trump, to down Biden – I’m just here to express why God has called me to take this position.

Kanye also explained why he registered late as a presidential candidate, claiming that his battle with coronavirus earlier this year meant he was unable to put together his political campaign in the way he would have wanted.

He told the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast: “Why did I register so late to run for president? COVID. I had the virus and I was sitting in quarantine in my house and my cousin texts me about being prepared to run for president. And I just completely put it off to the side ‘cause I was like shivering and having the shakes and taking hot showers and eating soup. … [Coronavirus] threw everyone off. It threw everybody’s plans off. And then it was just this calling on my heart.

Earlier this month, Kanye released his official campaign advertisement, in which he promised to “build a stronger country”.

He said in the video: “To live up to our dream, we must have vision. We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith, to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer. Through prayer, faith can be restored. We as a people are called to a greater purpose than ourselves.

We are not only a beacon to the world, but we should be servants to each other. To encourage each other, to help each other, lift up each other. We have to act on faith, with assured knowledge that we are pursuing the right goals and doing the right things. We will build a stronger country by building stronger families. Families are the building blocks of society, of a nation. By turning to faith, we will be the kind of nation and the kind of people God intends us to be.

Rick Fox has claimed his friend Kanye West has been given a ban from Twitter.

The “All Day” hitmaker shared a video earlier this week of himself urinating on his Grammy Awards and has posted a string of messages about his battle with record labels Universal and Sony – including screenshots of his contracts with the former – and now former NBA star Rick Fox has claimed his pal has been hit by a ban from the platform.

The 51-year-old retired sportsman said: “My friend @kanyewest wants you all to know that he was kicked off of @Twitter for 12 hours.”

Rick’s post came seven hours after Kanye’s last Tweet on the platform, in which he branded record contracts a “trap”.

He posted: “90% of the record contracts on the planet are still on a royalty A standard record deal is a trap to NEVER have you recoup, and there are all these hidden costs like the ‘distribution fees’ many labels put in their contracts to make even more money off our work without even trying.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the 43-year-old rapper had also been forced by Twitter to remove a post featuring the phone number of Forbes’ Chief Content Officer, Randall Lane.

In another rant earlier in the day, Kanye slammed Universal Music and claimed the company won’t tell him how much it would cost to purchase the recordings, and suggested the label was being racist as he tweeted “Black masters matter”.

He wrote in a series of tweets: “UNIVERSAL WONT TELL ME WHAT MY MASTERS COST BECAUSE THEY KNOW I CAN AFFORD TO BUY THEM … Everyone please cover me in prayer …

“I AM ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE ON THE PLANET AND UNIVERSAL WONT TELL ME WHAT MY MASTERS COST BECAUSE THEY KNOW I CAN AFFORD THEM … BLACK MASTERS MATTER (sic)”

And in other tweets, the rapper seemingly suggested musicians have become “comfortable with not having what they deserve”.

He wrote: “We’ve gotten comfortable with not having what we deserve … they allow us to have a little money from touring get some gold chains some alcohol some girls and fake numbers that feed our egos …
“But we don’t own our masters … We our supporting other people’s kids … we could spend our whole life in the music industry but our kids gotta go work for another company when they grow up (sic)”
