The late Anele Tembe will be buried in Durban. The fiancée of rapper and entrepreneur Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA, died on Sunday after falling from the 10th floor of a hotel in Cape Town.
The couple got engaged earlier this year.
On Thursday, the Tembe family held a private memorial for the late 22-year-old and is asking for privacy. The details surrounding Tembe’s death are still being investigated.
AKA is yet to speak on the death of his fiancé, Nelli Tembe who died in the early hours of Sunday, 11th April 2021. Nelli’s death brought shock to a lot of people most especially her family and that of AKA’s.
Taking to Instagram, L Tido shared a picture of everyone present at the family meeting.
The Forbes will be returning to Durban on Tuesday, 13 April to prepare for the funeral arrangements.
The Tembe family spokesperson and MC, Clive Manci said Nellie and her father Moses Tembe had a good relationship.
The pair apparently had a lot in common, including their love of food.
The news of rapper AKA’s fiancé Nelli Tembe‘s sudden and tragic death has sent shockwaves throughout the country.
The family of Anele “Nelli” Tembe and well-known musician Kiernan “AKA” Forbes have confirmed the death of the musician’s girlfriend at the five-star Pepperclub Hotel in central Cape Town on Sunday.
Tembe apparently fell from the 10th floor of the hotel early on Sunday morning.
“We are still in shock and dealing with our emotions, as she was an exceptional and gifted young woman with so much life ahead of her,” the families said in a joint statement issued on Sunday afternoon. “She had a sweet nature about her and was always nurturing to those about her.”
Police were on the scene for much of Sunday, looking for clues at the upmarket hotel.
Paramedics said they had been dispatched to the scene after being told a young woman “fell” to her death.
“She was in a critical condition and they started a full life-support resuscitation. Unfortunately her injuries were too severe and she was declared deceased,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst.
The road outside the hotel was blocked off.
Witnesses who were staying at the hotel said they had heard a woman screaming, followed by a loud “doef” sound — and then a man shouting.
A witness also reported hearing a man crying on Sunday morning, adding that the couple had been spotted the night before in the hotel elevator, looking “loved up”.
The statement from the families said: “Forbes is now inconsolable and is surrounded by family and [his] closest friends.”
The couple first made headlines in January last year after a video of them kissing at a restaurant went viral. In February this year, Tembe confirmed their engagement.
“Words cannot describe how grateful I am to be your life partner. Even through the highs and lows, you have always stood by me and I thank you, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, for loving me wholeheartedly and never giving up on us. Cheers to the beginning of forever. 4L boo,” she wrote on social media.
Taking to twitter, the rapper questioned his fans where to get a Louis Vuitton collar and leash for the puppy. Well it seems AKA is ready to empty his bank account for the new pet.
“I just got a new puppy. Does anyone know where I can get a Louis Vuitton collar and leash?” he said.

On Saturday, the rapper shared series of pictures on his instagram page revealing how successful the event went between his family and Nellis’.
In the photo shared, we could confirm the rapper had a success event has he took beautiful pictures with his in-laws. He captioned the post with a cow and heart.
Nelli reacted to Supa Mega’s post, by calling him “my husband” as fans and followers took to the commnet section to congratulate the super star and his wife.
The 21-year-old also posted photos on her Instagram page, and captioned it with “most special day.”
AKA is getting closer to marrying his new found love Nelli Tembe. The hip hop artist is still seriously in love with his latest girlfriend and he’s not hiding it, just few weeks ago he proposed to her and the latest news is that AKA has gone to visit the damsel’s family to do what is right by practicing the Lobola culture.
What other way to show love than to actually marry your partner, AKA is getting very close that that. Taking to Instagram recently had questions about Lobola and the prices of cows which is the major part of prices to use while observing the tradition, although the rapper was surprised about the price, it appears that he wasn’t just asking for fun.
AKA had let Nelli Tembe know he loves her, stating she is homely. He ended his note with “miss you loads,” indicating he wasn’t with her at the time he made the post. AKA recently gave Nelli Tembe an engagement ring, indicating he might take things to “permanent site” with her soon. Some social media users had not been impressed with the engagement ring and had warned Nelli Tembe that it would end in tears – referencing AKA’s immediate past relationship (with DJ Zinhle).
Some fans had even pointed out that AKA had at some point given out engagement rings to the women previously in his life but without eventually marrying them. AKA is taking it a step further this time as he recently confirmed it in an Instagram post with some pictures of himself, friends and families. He tagged the pictures with a green heart and cow emojis.
AKA has always been the one to blame in the failures of his past relationships even though the public do not know the full story, he is proving everyone wrong now by showing that he can actually be a really serious man by moving towards the right direction of setting up a family.
The recent picture also includes some with his wife to be Nelli Tembe, and some ladies that appears to be her friends and family.

It looks like Cassper is very determined to wait patiently for AKA to change his mind and sign on the dotted lines.

Taking to Twitter, AKA shared an adorable picture of her daughter eating pizza and said he would have quality time with his beautiful daughter, Kairo Forbes rather than involving himself in any government issues.
This is coming after the musician recently heard about the R300 million which has mysteriously disappeared from the Department of Arts and Culture.

The award-winning rapper reacted to this news in a recent post he made on his verified social media handle on Twitter.
The money was supposed to be given to these artistes to cushion them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He reacted to an initial post that read;
“Arts and Culture Minister, Nathi Mthethwa says the National Arts Council is taking action against senior officials implicated in the mismanagement of funds. It’s been reported that R300 million earmarked to be disbursed to artists during the pandemic has disappeared #sabcnews”
