A-Reece And Emtee Squash Beef?

A-Reece And Emtee Squash Beef?

A-Reece And Emtee Squash Beef?

A-Reece has made people’s day by revealing that he smokes with Emtee on a regular and he enjoys it.

“Bro you ain’t never really smoked until you smoke with pH, DJ Maphorisa, Wordz & Emtee,” said A-Reece.

Fans are super ecstatic by this as it shows that he and Emtee are in good terms.

Their little “beef” started during their Ambitiouz days when Emtee revealed to MacG that Emtee is the one who told them that they are getting screwed over. Emtee said some pretty harsh words to Reece and other rtists who left the label.

As a family man who comes from a certain background, Emtee steered clear away from the drama and did not want to investigate things further. He told Mac G that he has a family to take care of and pay the bills, so he ignore A-Reece’s warnings.

He was then asked “what happens if he beefed with these people, would he lose everything?” Emtee responded by saying, “That was always at the back of my mind, and every time the answer would be ‘yes’, they will do that.” After leaving the record label he went very broke. He even revealed his shocking salary he received from the label saying it was just under 20K, whereas they were making around 50K per show he was performing in.

In an interview with Pearl Thusi on Behind The Story, he mentioned that Emtee was also not happy at AE and had expressed that he’d leave.

“I’m gonna put it out how it is. You see, Emtee, he had the same feelings I had about the label and his were probably worse because they were bottled in. I remember we had a show in PLK and I was with him in the Van. It was me, him and Flame and he was like ‘yoh, you can’t even be an artist as yourself in this label because you are marginalized. I think I am going to leave sooner than I thought’– those were his words, ” he said.

But in an interview with Zikhiphani, Emtee said he would not work with ex-Ambitiouz signees.

“My frustration was just, ey, these people left. That means there’s something they know that they didn’t tell us. So ya’ll leaving us here? I was just mad about that. I was like’ if y’all gonna be like that, be like that. I feel like music is greater than words of exchange. Just because I said “F* you” yesterday, don’t mean I shouldn’t work with you…”

A-Reece is nominated at the South African Hip Hop Awards and his fans are coming out in their numbers to show off, by voting for him. One of the categories A-Reece is nominated in is the the Artist Of The Decade category which received mixed reactions because Reece has not been in the game for more than 10 years.

Nominated under that category is Kuli Chana, Kwesta, Riky Rick, AKA, Nadia Nakai, Da Les, Cassper Nyovest, Emtee, K.O, Nasty C Stogie T, A Reece, Youngsta CPT, Gigi Lamayne and Zakwe.

People were vouching for Cassper Nyovest to win it but now the votes are going to Reece.

AKA Throws Shade At Female DJs

Rapper AKA threw major shade at all the female DJs who are currently trending and that did not sit well with social media users. The rapper pointed out that there is a growing number of female DJs right now, which kind of reminds him of the time where femcees were dominating.

The tone in which AKA laid out his thoughts was so bland that people could not figure out if he was throwing shade at them or was just stating the obvious.

“Not so long ago, every second hun was a rapper. Now everyone’s a DJ,” Mega wrote.

His sentiments were not taken lightly as people took it back to his late fiancé’s death. We are not going to touch on that as it is A delicate topic.

Moving right along, this whole topic of female DJs got brought up the momentous rise of Uncle Waffles. She got slammed for not being a DJ but more of a dancer instead. People could not make up if she can really mix or is it just for show.

Stepping in to her defense, DJ Zinhle shared a few words of wisdom for not only her, but for other female DJs. “Female DJs, perfect your art… don’t give them a reason to disrespect your work. Practice makes perfect. With that said, wear whatever you wanna wear & dance if it’s your thing… They are talking because you’re shaking the industry. It’s our time!”

“So sad that you chose to reduce the growth of the female DJ industry to this…I definitely don’t agree with you. I’m actually loving how the girls are making it their own and dominating. Surely there’s something to celebrate here,” DJ Zinhle wrote in response to Umalambane’s shady tweet..

“Being a female DJ these days only requires looks and some sexy dance moves. Nobody cares about your mixing,” he said.

Waffles’ instant fame is currently being tainted by a whole lot of negativity with people choosing to ignore the fact that Waffles’ time has indeed arrived.

AKA Throws Shade At Female DJs

There was a lot of concern regarding the company she is keeping for herself especially the men in her management. She addressed this issue and said on Twitter in a form of a statement.

“I’d just like to say, my team is the biggest blessing in my life when it comes to my career. They go above and beyond for me, the narrative that’s being shared is so disheartening. They have never made me feel uncomfortable or treated me inappropriately.

“Neither has anyone else that’s come into my life, everyone has respected and actually showed me an incredible amount of love. Coming here and having to explain how people who have completely dedicated their lives to helping me grow, guide me, show me love, encourage me, and actually carry me thru all the turmoil of a “blow up” really sucks because of how it’s made them feel” she said.

Uncle Waffles says her moment to shine is being take away from her, “Everything being posted is being twisted and taken out of context, KK and everyone is my family. My moment is being striped away because now people in my life who helped me and believed in me before a lot of people are becoming affected. Even making the decision a few days ago to no longer handle my social media Bc I was becoming overwhelmed and hyper focusing on the hate.”

She says she appreciates the love she is getting from people, “I appreciate all the love above all else, I needed to clarify this. Those are my people who are part of my everyday and have really held me down. Let’s not touch that part. Even typing this with the feeling that it will still be altered sucks as well, genuinely my people love me.”

Popular gospel artist joins church founded by controversial inyanga, Dr Khehlelezi

According to Fikile Mlomo, the struggles she has endured have forced her to find a church that speaks to her spirit.

The gospel star ended up joining Isithelo Sika Jehova, started by controversial inyanga, businessman and presenter Dr Khehlelezi.

Although he has been accused on social media of performing rituals to help gospel stars get rich, Fikile said she did not join the church for the wrong reasons

“My fans know the tears I’ve cried and the pain I’ve been through since I was a little girl. Ever since I joined the church, I’ve been in a good space,” she said.

“Being raised by my grandmother after my mother died was not easy.

“I had to grow up fast. My mother was HIV-positive and I had to nurse her until she died. She has a family but they never helped me.

“When I got into music, I was robbed by the people I trusted.

“I went through miscarriages and abuse in previous relationships. As broken as I was, I needed a church I could call my spiritual home.”

Fikile said when she first met Dr Khehlelezi, she was struck by how warm he was.

She said she had also found love after previous relationships failed.

“I’m in a relationship and I’m happy. My partner and I are not planning to marry or start a family. We are happy as girlfriend and boyfriend.

“Happiness is what is important. There are people who have rings on their fingers but they go to bed with tears every day. I don’t want to rush things. I am enjoying my happiness.”

Fikile also revealed that she never knew her father. “My mother told me my father died just after I was born.

“I don’t know his family and I never looked for each other,” she said.

“It’s clear that they don’t care about me. If they cared, they would have looked for me. Why should I bother looking for them?”
