Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo has revealed he is baffled by people who ask him what happened to the “old Mampintsha”.

Taking to Instagram recently he said:

“Other people are crazy others are fine, I’m not fond of idom kop, how can you say to me you miss the old Mampintsha, so you don’t grow up? People grow up you can’t remain being one thing so stop it. I won’t answer idom kop. So please stop it guys. Imagine asking me where is the old Mampintsha? Then it means he’s at the zoo,” he said.

Mampintsha and Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane got married a year ago and their wedding was screened in a Showmax special.

For their second season of their reality show on the channel, the couple is undergoing marriage counselling and therapy to help strengthen their union and viewers will see that process.

“We are now going to counselling to make sure that things are good between us as a couple, so this time is different. People will see that we are seeking help and that we are more mature. We are able to work well together without the noise.

“We are able to respect each other now in marriage, it’s more powerful now,” Mampintsha said.

Babes Wodumo said therapy had helped their marriage.

“It’s important to have a mediator in a marriage, like a therapist, because someone can hear both sides of the story. When it’s just the two of you everyone wants to be heard.”

Fresh details about Senzo Meyiwa's death: Bullet found hidden in Kelly Khumalo's kitchen

A bullet projectile that was allegedly collected at the Vosloorus house where former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was shot, has again been scrutinised.

The Meyiwa murder trial continued in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Friday, where the State’s second witness, Sergeant Patrick Mlungisi Mthethwa was cross-examined. Mthethwa, along with his colleague, a Sergeant Mathebula, were the first police officers to respond to the scene where Meyiwa had been shot on 26 October 2014. Meyiwa was shot at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s home.

Advocate Zandile Mshololo, who represents one of the five accused, questioned Mthethwa about whether he looked for evidence on the countertop in the kitchen. Mthethwa previously testified that when he first responded to a complaint of a shooting in progress, he entered the house, but then left for the hospital as there was no one there who could inform him of what transpired.

During the quick walkthrough of the house, he noticed a hat on the kitchen floor and a single crutch. On his second visit, he also found a bullet fragment on the floor in the kitchen. Mthethwa said he had looked on the countertop but did not find anything.

Meanwhile, the State’s first witness Sergeant Thabo Mosia, the first forensic expert to arrive on the scene, previously testified that he had found a bullet projectile behind glass jars on the countertop.

Mosia testified that on his second visit to the scene, he and other investigators traced the trajectory of a bullet that went through the door and found the bullet projectile.

This projectile was not found during his first visit, which prompted questions and claims by the defence, that it had been planted at the crime scene. Mosia said the bullet projectile was hidden behind the glass jars, which is why he missed it during his first combing of the scene.

During re-examination on Friday, Mthethwa said while they were looking for evidence, they did not move anything around. This appears to corroborate the assertion by Mosia that the glass jars had to be removed for the bullet projectile to be visible.

State prosecutor, advocate George Baloyi was also at pains to have Mthethwa point out on a crime scene photograph which area of the countertop he searched. Mthethwa pointed towards an area with several pots. There were no glass jars in the crime scene photograph used for the pointing out.

SECURING OF THE SCENE

Earlier on Friday, Mthethwa testified that after arriving at the crime scene, the police officers were met by a man who identified himself as Themba. Themba said he was the brother of Gladness Khumalo, Kelly’s mother. Mthethwa said Themba did not know much about what happened, other than someone was shot and had since been rushed to hospital.

After a quick walkthrough of the house, Mthethwa said they went to the hospital and only there did they establish that the house was a crime scene. Mthethwa and Mathebula then returned to the houses and cordoned the area off. Mshololo pointed out that the police officers had left the crime scene, without making sure it was secured.

Mthethwa argued that at the time he did not know it was a crime scene, because Themba could not tell police whether the shooting happened in the house or outside in the yard.

Mshololo further asked how they left the crime scene in the hands of someone whose identity had not even been verified. She put it to the witness, that they should have taken the house keys from Themba and locked it themselves. Mthethwa conceded that he would not have known if Themba could have been the shooter and trusted that Themba was Gladness Khumalo’s brother merely because he had the house keys.

Mshololo then claimed that once Mthethwa and his colleague left the scene for the first time, people came into the house and cleaned the scene. In her statement to police, Sylvia Happy Ngobeni claimed that she, Maggie Phiri and two other women went into the house to see what happened. Phiri then allegedly started picking up empty beer cans.

Ngobeni said she asked Phiri why she was cleaning before the police arrived, to which Phiri responded that she did not want the police to see that people were drinking. Mshololo suggested that this took place after Mthethwa left the scene for the first time. This is because Ngobeni mentions that after leaving the house, she saw a contingency of police officers arrive at the house and subsequently cordoned off the scene.

However, Mthethwa testified that the same beer cans he saw during his first visit at the house, were still there when he returned.

CONTRADICTIONS

News24 previously reported that a number of contradictions emerged between Mthethwa and Mosia’s statements. These contradictions included who took Mosia through the crime scene as well as what time Mosia arrived at the house. These disparities were also exacerbated by an affidavit by former Gauteng head of detectives, Brigadier Philani Ndlovu. His affidavit also contradicted certain testimony by both Mosia and Mthethwa.

The trial is expected to continue on Monday.

Limpopo mob beats up Zimbabwean man to death – House torched

A Zimbabwean immigrant accused of raping a middle-aged woman from Matangari in Limpopo province was recently beaten to death by an angry crowd, it has emerged.

The tragic incident occurred earlier this month and, a week later, the mob burnt down the house where the Zimbabwean lived, accusing the owner of harbouring illegal immigrants.

The now-deceased suspect, who has yet to be named, reportedly broke into the victim’s house at night with an accomplice.

According to Matangari village’s traditional leader, Vhamusanda Vho–Mutulagole Nyamande, the victim told said one of the men had ransacked her house while the other one raped her.

“After she had opened a case, the police brought her to my palace, where she detailed her ordeal. She said she knew the Zimbabwean as he had been living in the village for years,” Nyamande said.

When the villagers heard about the incident the following morning, they ran amok, blocking roads with rocks and burning tyres and other flammable objects.

Nyamande said he had to calm the angry crowd down, pleading with them not to take the law into their own hands, but rather to help the police with their investigation.

The following day, the community had a meeting at the royal palace and decided to go and look for the suspects themselves.

According to one Norman Siebathavha, secretary of the Matangari Traditional Council, some community members saw the suspect that same afternoon hiding close to a nearby the river.

“When he saw the villagers, he ran and jumped into the river. After searching for him for some time, they found him hiding inside the reeds. They fished him out and took him to the royal palace, and the traditional leader called the police,” he said.

However, while they were waiting for the police to arrive, the angry crowd started to interrogate the suspect, beating him with different objects, and he succumbed to his injuries.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the police at Mutale were investigating two cases – one of rape and one of murder.

“We haven’t effected any arrests yet. Police investigations continue,” he said.

Meanwhile, after attending a meeting with their traditional leader and the royal council last Tuesday afternoon, the Matangari villagers – armed with sticks and stones – reportedly marched to the house of a 55-year-old local man and burnt it to the ground.

The now-deceased Zimbabwean had been a tenant at the house and the mob accused the home owner of harbouring illegal immigrants.

When they arrived at his house, they started by breaking the windows before setting the house on fire.

The man’s 13-year-old son, who was coming home at the time of the incident, said he was surprised to see such a huge crowd descending on the family home

“It was terrifying. I just stood there and saw our whole house being engulfed by fire. I lost all my clothes, including books and school uniform. I also saw some members of the community stealing live chickens,” he said.

The owner of the house said he was also in shock.

“All I can say is that all I have worked for in my life is gone,” he said.

Community members who witnessed the event said police had been informed of the crowd’s intentions to burn down the house but had done nothing.

Generations actress Zoe Mthiyane's tlof tlof with Robert Marawa and Lebo M: New details

Former Generations: The Legacy actress Zoe Mthiyane has opened up about the highs and lows of raising children with Robert Marawa and Lebo M.

Zoe Mthiyane fell pregnant twice after enjoying tlof tlof with both sports presenter Robert Marawa and The Lion LKing producer Lebo Morake. The actress therefore has a child with these two celebrities.

Zoe says motherhood can be incredibly challenging for a career-driven and ambitious woman. However, she says raising her children gives her the drive to be the best version of herself.

“I would describe parenting with Robert Marawa as respectful. Our families and close friends have played a major role in creating and maintaining a safety net around our son, and for that I will forever be grateful. He [the boy] is lucky,” says Mthiyane.

She says it is a different story trying to co-parent with Lebo M.

“Parenting with Lebo M is impossible. We had to find ways to cope with that fact. However, I am lucky to have had intensive therapy, valuable advice and support to lean on. I practice gentle parenting as I learned early on that each child is born with their own personality.”

Lebo M, real name Lebohang Morake of the Broadway hit Lion King fame, the internationally acclaimed composer and producer, and Mthiyane broke off their engagement in 2016, “amid disagreements over a pre-nuptial agreement”.

“I have been doing well since 2016, having escaped an incredibly toxic situation in which I was required to navigate a well-orchestrated smear campaign organised by somebody I loved and trusted… that situation helped tutor me to better understand my own power.”

She later got into a relationship with fellow actor Rapulana Seiphemo but the relationship too fell apart amid allegations of infidelity. Shortly after the break up, she left Generations: The Legacy, where she co-starred with Seiphemo.

“Since leaving Generations, I have featured in a Charlie Vundla movie, Hotel on the Koppies, which was recently released on Amazon. I have also had the opportunity to travel, do live performances and put my music hat on.

“Exiting Generations was a difficult decision but necessary as I had started to regress in my efforts to remain consistent in my growth and mental health.

“I was finding it difficult to counter the resistance coming my way from some people. With that I say, I am grateful for the growth and confidence I gained from portraying Zitha and I am truly grateful to the writers, producers and viewers whose support gave me the confidence to expand as a storyteller.”

Asked if she is back on the dating scene, Mthiyane simply says she is not looking at entering a new relationship any time soon. “My energy and focus lie elsewhere.”

Sources who were there said it was a beautiful traditional wedding.

“Many KZN A-listers attended the event. Unfortunately, guests were strictly warned against taking photos,” said the source.

Another source said: “I’d describe it as a top-notch wedding. We truly enjoyed ourselves with African food and drinks. They kept it under wraps because it wasn’t just a wedding, but they were also shooting the next season of Uthando Nesthembu, which is set to premiere before the end of this year.”

When asked about the wedding, Musa said: “I’m not in a position to confirm or deny it. I’ve been barred from discussing details.”

Gqom queen, Babes Wodumo has set the record straight and educated her trolls on what caused her weight loss. Commenting under radio personality Jacinta Ngobese’s Facebook post, Babes said it hurts to see people, mostly women making fun of her weight loss which occurred during and after her pregnancy.

There is a recent picture of Babes while visiting Ukhozi FM studios. In the pictures she wore a brown blazer, brown skirt and a cream white polo neck with brown boots and a simple hairdo but it was her overall appearance that got her trolled.

Jacinta spoke about how her weight loss subjected her to bullying and how that made her feel. She said when she was 8 months pregnant, she lost a lot of weight because of depression.

“This is a Photo of me from 11 years ago when I was 8 months pregnant with my son! YES… I’m pregnant in this photo but because I was so severely depressed instead of gaining weight, I lost weight drastically.
“I looked terribly sick and I had told myself then that should I ever fall pregnant again I would make sure it’s with a kind and caring man that would spoil me and treat me like I’m about to bring a treasure into this world, it’s always been my dream to experience that unconditional love because I’m carrying a precious baby, ” she continued in her post.

She said people laughed at her but had received a lot of support from other people.

She then called out the people who are making fun of Babes Wodumo unprovoked, “So the people who are making fun of Babes its because they don’t know how difficult being a mother is and how much of yourself you lose during that time and all you need is to be surrounded with love and kindness and people who care about you so you can at least have beautiful memories of that time.

“I’m actually crying as I type this because we all go through so much, sometimes all you need is to be okay and happy and surrounded with love. Please don’t make fun of someone else’s situation just because you don’t understand it or you have never gone through such. . I wish Babes all the love and prosperity in the world. Love and Light. ”

Babes Wodumo then responded to the post and pointed out how it’s mostly women who speak vile things to her.

“I lost weight during my pregnancy and after birth I lost more weight. It hurts to see women making fun of how I look,” she said. “Is it because I’m a celebrity or because I’m a young woman who is finding her feet in motherhood? I am enjoying motherhood and I don’t know what they want from me.

“Others are quick to judge saying I am sick, I need help or I am taking drugs, just because I had a baby and my body is still recovering…I am not stressing about my weight loss because some of my friends and my sister went through the same thing.”
