Prophet Shepherd Bushiri lands in trouble again – He will never find rest

A software developer this week lodged an ex parte application in the Johannesburg High Court against self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri, claiming that the fugitive pastor failed to pay him after he was recruited to create an online platform for the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church TV channel.

In the court application, which seeks to be heard without the affected parties being served with court documents, Anele Beke is demanding R80 million. He claimed in the papers that he met the ECG representative he identified as Walusungo Mnyengmbe and discussed the feasibility of designing and creating a software-based platform to help the controversial church hold virtual sessions.

“Thereafter, further meetings and discussions were held with Mnyengmbe and various representatives of the first respondent [ECG]. I thereafter designed and created the platform and system, and subsequently presented it to the ECG representatives,” reads Beke’s affidavit.

“The representative contacted the second respondent [Shepherd Huxley Bushiri] in order to convey what they had seen and further obtain his approval so as to proceed with the project.”

According to his affidavit, a series of meetings were held and he was then instructed to order 100 000 set-top boxes to initiate the project.

“Subsequent meetings and brainstorming sessions were held in terms of which the design and operational function of the platform were discussed.

“Bushiri approved the project, and I was mandated to commence with the first phase of the prototypes. Mnyengmbe and myself continued communications with the view of finalising the software and platform. The second phase of installing the prototypes was finalised and the systems were ready to be utilised,” reads his affidavit.

It further states:
During this period, I had made numerous financial and operational arrangements and entered into agreements with various service providers, all with the aim of executing my responsibilities to finalise the software and platform for the respondents.

He claimed in the papers that a written agreement was concluded with Bushiri on March 17 2018 and started with the set-up of the IPTV platform for the Prophetic Channel, and later licensed it and managed its content.

“In accordance with the agreement, the respondents were liable to pay a once-off fee for the set-up of the Prophetic Channel platform on our headed servers, and we shall receive 40% of all the revenue accrued from all the services offered and paid by each of the Prophetic Channel subscribers.

“The aforementioned percentage agreement was further applicable to all third party-generated revenue from the content placed on the Prophetic Channel, including but not limited to advertisements and items sold.”

He added that he made several attempts to contact Bushiri and his wife Mary for payment after the prototypes were delivered, even though he was not paid the initial fee for setting it up.
The respondents subsequently launched the platform in conjunction with the Prophetic Channel and consequently received many subscribers. I have yet to receive my rightful share of the proceeds as agreed on.

“I have incurred numerous costs in the set-up, design and all-round creation of the platform, and I am currently in financial difficulty due to the expenses and circumstances surrounding the creation of the platform.

“I have made numerous attempts to obtain payment from the respondents, without success,” he noted in the court papers.

Beke refused to comment on Friday.

Efforts to get comment from ECG were not successful.

Viewers are not happy with the way Jub Jub has been treating people on his show Uyajoa 99, which exposes people who cheat in relationships. The episode which aired this past Sunday has rubbed Mzansi the wrong way.

Tweeps are not happy with the way Jub Jub and his crew invaded the woman’s privacy and how he spoke to her. Some people have found it very disturbing that the woman in the episode was filmed while she was half-dressed and Jub Jub didn’t have the decency to look away. The woman even had to cover herself up with a blanket.

Jub Jub is no stranger to drama. Not so long ago he was involved in a social media spat with radio and television personality Lerato Kganyago. Kganyago was responding to Molemo’s post and said that his generalisations can be problematic.

“I’m an artist and I’m saying your generalisation is problematic. Some of us have been speaking you are sending out the wrong message my brother with all due respect. Some of us are just as frustrated, ben upset for many just in case you think the looting by government started 4 months ago.” She said.

“This is a result of what has been happening for the past couple of years, from one prisoner to another, let’s not have selective outrage. The GUPTAS let’s start unpacking from the root of the problem till today, even before them, there has been looting of funds. Others hopped from one political party to another after looting. Let’s speak to our people but with honesty!”

Jub wasn’t going to let LKG’s words slide and told her that she is entitled to her own opinions. “This is what bores me…who appointed you as the minister of the right messages of SA? With all due respect, you are entitled to your own opinion, AS I AM TO MINE. We shouldn’t be sitting here debating. The country is burning, the poor have been disenfranchised for too long in this country and it’s easy for someone to say violence this, violence that when they don’t know their day to day pain.”

He added that he was addressing privileged people who think that they are in a position to talk about the poor. “I’m not here to talk politics nama Guptas that I don’t know of, I am talking about people who think they have the right to judge the poor based on their position of privilege. Nobody is saying looting and the destruction of property is right. The wrongness of it goes without saying. What I was talking to is a response of the clever blacks to the plight of the poor in this country. If you do not fall within that spectrum then this live did not apply to you.” Said the musician in part.

Khanyi Mbau Goes Missing In Dubai – Boyfriend Asks For Help

Khanyi Mbau and her bae have been living it up in Dubai for the past week or so (could be more) and if the snaps are anything to go by, they are having the time of their lives.

Well that was until Khanyi’s boyfriend Kudzai Terrence Mushonga took to Instagram, to share that his boo has been missing. At that point, he had already been going crazy looking for her and making it known that sis may have not been behaving.

Kudzai was clearly heartbroken at what Khanyi was doing. He took to Instagram a series of messages on his stories pleading with the public to help him.

He said, “Imagine paying your girlfriend’s daughter’s fees before you drop her at the salon at 6PM and she tells you babe, I will text you 3o min before I’m done so you can come pick me up! You then rush for your zoom meeting at home and be a good man and cook dinner for you and her, you even cut yourself in the process! At 9:4pm you even tell her, babe I cut myself while making while making dinner.

“At 11:47pm you even tell her baby I’m waiting on you! At 1:00am you tell her babe I had not had dinner cos I’m waiting for you to tell me to come pick you up from the salon but let me eat because I need to drink my pain killers, at 2:25am you drive out to go look for her at the salon, you get there, the salon closed at 10pm. 2:28am you message baby i see you are coming on and offline regardless of many calls .

At 3:00 I post on my IG that I cant find her, then she immediately responds saying ‘I’m in the building, see you soon.’ you start arguing on the phone till a bout 5am and she never pitches to 9am the next day.

‘What are you forced to think as a man?! Help. Don’t you think if someone needed space, she would said, babe I am going to hang out at the rooftop pool. I just need some alone time rather than having you worried the whole night”

Tweeps are however not buying Kudzai’s story. They are accusations that he may have been abusing her. These were some of the reactions:

“Men are totally capable of killing you and then starting a search for you publicly and portraying themselves as the hurt and abandoned partner.
I hope Khanyi Mbau is safe. Going to the salon at 2am looking for a missing person (and documenting it) is a RED FLAG for me”

“Khanyi’s man mentioning the child’s school fees is really low of him especially when he doesn’t know if she is still good or not”

“My thought is…what if Khanyi found a richer man in Dubai while on bae-cation?!. But jokes aside, if she needed time out she should’ve just told him that rather than him expecting her back like usual and going all out with the cooking and shit. Just simple communication!!”

“People are laughing now that Khanyi Mbau broke that man’s heart… Not so long ago they were behind some hun who was refusing being dumped saying “we believe you” and even requesting a space. Now that ngumjita it’s laughable…damn men go through a lot”

Kudzai says he posted on Instagram because should something happen to Khanyi, he will be nailed for it because he was the last person seen with Khanyi.

President Ramaphosa's spokesperson Khusela Diko reinstated following PPE tender saga

Just over a year after taking a leave of absence from all official roles in government, pending investigations into her role in a dodgy personal protective equipment (PPE) contract between her husband and the Gauteng health department, presidency spokesperson, Khusela Diko has been “reinstated on a warning”.

But Diko will not be speaking on behalf of President Cyril Ramaphosa anytime soon, as she is on maternity leave.

Diko confirmed that she had “noted and welcomed the outcomes of the disciplinary processes undertaken by the presidency” against her and added that she had only been sanctioned for failing to disclose companies she had “resigned from or were now inactive”.

She has been reinstated with a warning.

It’s unclear what form of sanction had been handed to Diko, but sources said she was given a warning.

“I particularly welcome the affirmation in the outcomes of my long-stated position that I have not been dishonest nor have I engaged in any corrupt activities.

“Instead, I have been appropriately sanctioned for failing to disclose companies – with no financial interests – that I had either resigned from or were inactive.

“I did not do any business with the state. I have accordingly done everything I can to completely remove my name wherever it appears on the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission as I have had no business interests or dealings since I joined government in March 2018,” said Diko.

Diko confirmed that “any further action with regard to my return to work will be finalised with my employer at the conclusion of my maternity leave”.

The Sunday World reported over the weekend that Diko had recently given birth to a son reportedly named Milani ZwelamaBhaca Kungawo Diko.

In June 2020, Diko took a special leave of absence after her now late husband, amaBhaca chief Thandisizwe Diko, allegedly secured an irregular Covid-19 PPE tender from the Gauteng health department to the tune of R125 million.

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) found that the tender was irregular and unlawful.

Singer Skye Wanda raped! – Speaks on her ordeal

Musician Skye Wanda has opened up about being a victim of rape, forgiving her rapist, and moving on.

The Forever singer was raped when she was 12 years old and she said at the time, she didn’t know what was happening, but once she realised what had happened, it ruined her life.

She said she grew up as a rebellious child because of what she went through, but she’s in a better place now.

Skye told the People’s Paper that 14 years after the sexual assault occurred, she faced the rapist and forgave him.

“For years, I looked for a way to forgive the person who raped me. I went to churches and people told me that forgiving is for me and not the person who wronged me. I then wanted to explore that, but I needed to confront him first and see where it would take me,” she said.

“I started looking for him and I found his brother who told me he had been in and out of prison. Eventually, he contacted me because his brother told him I was looking for him and we spoke. I made him understand how what he did ruined my life.

“I told him that everything that happened in my life was now stemming from what he did. I told him I couldn’t even be in a stable relationship because I had no respect for men,” said Skye.

The songstress said the conversation she had with him helped her move on and live her life.

“He started explaining how he grew up and then I understood that what he did was wrong yes, but looking at how he grew up, he didn’t know any better. But I have forgiven him. I am now living my life, making up for the time I deprived myself of living,” she said.

Skye Wanda said although she has forgiven him, she hasn’t healed from what happened, but she has found ways to cope instead.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be in a position where I say I am healed. But as I was progressing in life, I developed ways to cope. I had to remind myself that yes, it happened to me, but I had no control over it and it shouldn’t define me. It also doesn’t mean that I don’t deserve to be loved,” she said.

“What happens is that when you’re violated in that manner you see yourself as dirty. You think people also think you’re dirty and that you deserve all the bad things that happen to you. It took time for me to love myself again,” she said.

She said she thinks she wouldn’t be alive had she not confronted him.

“I’d still be bitter, and angry. In fact, I probably would’ve committed suicide. I was suicidal for a few years and when I started confronting my issues, I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I’m still on the medication and I’ve been taking it for about eight months. Now, I’m working on recovering,” she said.

The songstress did not open a case against the perpetrator, but she advises victims of rape to report to the police station immediately.

“I didn’t open a case because I wasn’t brave, I was scared. I thought my family would be against me. However, I have a daughter now and I don’t want her to go through the same things I went through. This is why I advise people to go report immediately so they can be given a rape kit and get evidence, which will make their case stronger,” she said.
