Watch: Unathi bounces back after Kaya FM dismissal

Unathi Nkayi is turning out to be quite the comeback queen. Just a few days ago the media personality was fired from her job as a host on Kaya FM. Many wondered whether her career is on a downward trajectory and now Prince Kaybee revealed some exciting news.

Earlier this week, Kaya FM released a statement about Unathi Nkayi being fired from the station. The statement reads that the contract is terminated because of “intolerable conduct.”

Soon after the news broke, Unathi started trending as South Africans shared how shocked and sad they are.

Unathi, who hasn’t said anything about the news, appears to be doing quite fine. Both she and Prince Kaybee teased fans with the news that they are working on some new music together.

While Kaybee initially shared a short clip of himself in her kitchen, Unathi later confirmed that it was indeed for work by sharing a snippet of the song.

“Been home for the week making music❤️It’s been magical, to say the least. Thank you @princekaybee_sa,” she captioned the post.

After spotting the clips, many of her fans and supporters rushed to the comment section to share how happy they were to see her making music. A lot of them wished the Idols SA judge well on her journey ahead.

Unathi has taken to her social media to share her recent encounter with a man who assaulted her repeatedly. The star shared some videos showing how things went down with the man.

Unathi stated it all started when the man bumped her car and started shouting at her to intimidate her.

man realized the shouting was not working, he repeatedly put his hands on her and after that left.

She also mentioned that some men were trying to diffuse the situation saying it was okay to put their hands on her.

Unathi said she is opening a ‘hit and run’ case on the man.

She said: “WHAT we deal with as South African WOMEN!!!!! He bumps my car, shouts at me to intimidate me. When that doesn’t work he repeatedly puts his hands on me. When that doesn’t work he flees. UNATHI REVEALS HOW THERAPY CHANGED HER LIFE

Unathi has taken to her social media to share her therapy story and how it changed her life.The star shared a lengthy write up stating how far her therapy has come from 2017.

Unathi revealed that from January 2018, she was going for therapy every week up till now.

She mentioned that her therapist has now become my life coach as she counsels her through all aspects of my life.

“January 2017 – January 2018 I went to therapy EVERY WEEK. From January 2018 til now I’ve been going and continue to go every two weeks. My therapist has now become my life coach. She counsels me through all aspects of my life. Love, work, family, money, spirituality and everything in between.”

Unathi went ahead to reveal some of the times she would wake up smelling alcohol but she is glad she found therapy.

“There were times I would rock up in my onesie with slippers on and I’d throw a tracksuit over to seem as if I made an effort, which I clearly couldn’t at my lowest of lows. There were times I would rock up stinking of alcohol from the night before, I am sure I have sat on my therapists sofa still drunk from the night before. BUT through it all I knew I would love the woman I was working on becoming BECAUSE I knew she deserved to be happy. Which I deeply am today.”

Unathi pens sweet birthday message to bestfriend and daughter

Unathi took to her social media to pen down beautiful birthday message to her bestfriend and her daughter. Taking to Instagram, she shared a picture of them together stating that her best friend’s daughter came to earth 10 years ago.

The star appreciated them for coming to her life.

Unathi captioned: “Ten years ago my daughter decided to join us on earth on my best friend’s birthday. It’s been ten years of wonderful planning around celebrating them both. Unathi celebrates her first child 17th birthday

Unathi announces that her firstborn is 17-year-old today. The radio presenter shared an old snap of herself breastfeeding her son when he was a baby, and captioned it with lovely words.

“He turns 17 end of this year and goes to the bush end of next. He’s taller than I am and has a deeper voice than his father. Best friend to Dilili and big brother to the Mboshla. Unathi details her weight loss journey

Taking to Instagram, the star stated that the first picture was taken in 2021 and the other was in 2011.

As it is seen, Unathi was a plus sized woman but worked on her size and weight.

DJ advices fans to always put themselves first as the ones who expect from them will call the selfish.

SA Idols Judge Unathi goes on Zip lining adventure

Unathi has decided to expand her horizons as she goes on a Zipline. According to her post, it is the world’s highest zip line in KwaZulu-Natal. She also mentioned they jumped over a waterfall and she had top cry for at least 20 minutes before she was able to do it.

Unathi concluded that she will be able to conquer her kids fear with this whenever they are scared of something.

Unathi to host the 2021 concert series of JazzFIX

Unathi has announced she will be hosting the 2021 concert series of JazzFIX.

The star made this known through her Instagram as she revealed she is honored to work with them.

Unathi mentioned the show will done online as they can not gather in the CT this year at Africa’s GRANDEST stage.

“I am HONOURED to have been asked by the @capetownjazzfest to host their 2021 concert series of JazzFIX due to the fact that we CANNOT gather in CT this year at Africa’s GRANDEST stage.”

In the post she shared also, she took a picture with a woman names Mam Hilda who she revealed is a founding member of The Mahotella Queens.

“Mam Hilda, a founding member of The Mahotella Queens, which celebrates 56 years this year, is one of the global super stars I sit down with on this series as well as the likes of Jonathon Butler, Micasa and Judith Sephuma,”Unathi said.

Unathi disclosed a shocking secret ingredient used for her hair

Unathi Nkayi opens up to her followers on how she cares for her hair. The star’s hair is natural and she’s been able to nurture it with a secret ingredient given her by some Swaziland women. The radio personality says weed is her secret ingredient, among other special things she uses.

“Many of you ask me how I keep my hair strong and hairline respectful,” she started. “So I don’t use a comb EVER and seldom use brushes. It’s mostly the hand. I don’t apply direct heat either. I don’t use hair foods or moisturisers anymore. Mostly oils and make mixtures to base my hair. I also use weed in the mix?BUT that’s my secret which was given to me by a women from SWAZILAND who I had never met. She loved my hair and said I deserve to know the Swati secret,” Unathi disclosed.
