Thuli Phongolo has announced she is now the new ambassador for Levi Strauss Africa. The star made the news known through her Instagram. Thuli shared a video of herself rocking the jeans as many of her fans and other celebrities took to the comment section to congratulate her.

Update On Thuli Phongolo’s Dating Life

Over the past few years, there have been countless dating rumours about Thuli Phongolo. The starlet has been linked to a couple of people and time and time again, she has vehemently denied those pesky rumours.

Thuli Phongolo’s introduction to the entertainment industry came in 2014 when she bagged the role of Namhla on Generations – The Legacy. The starlet went from unknown to super famous in a short space of time and she has managed to solidify her brand in South African pop culture.

After Thuli moved on from these dating rumours, she was then linked to another man. This time it was Maphorisa who is also a DJ. After reportedly being spotted at the same places on several occassions, Twitter CSI’s speculated that the two musos were more than just friends.

However, Thuli denied the rumours and insisted that she was single. Thuli recently set social media abuzz when she announced that she was ready to get into a new relationship after being single for 1 year and 4 months, “After a very thorough engagement about love… and 1 year, 4 months of being single, I think I’m ready to date and fall in love again. On God’s timing,” she wrote.

More doors open for Thuli Phongolo despite dismal BBmzansi performance

By now everybody should know all publicity is good publicity and Thuli Phongolo can attest to that. The DJ and actress got mocked for her set at the Big Brother house last Saturday for playing an entire song with no transitions in between songs. But she has the last laugh because that uproar caused her to gain even more publicity and fatten her cheques.

Thuli P is not new to receiving criticism from social media despite her believing that she is good at what she does. Not many can agree to that, especially those who have never seen her in action prior to her BB Mzansi set.

She even got compared to Lerato Kganyago who set the house ablaze and some even wanted her to take some notes from LKG.

After the backlash Thuli bragged that it actually helped her gain even more bookings as she was sitting at 9. She got 6 more bookings which ended on Monday afterwards.

Thuli always brags about how blessed she is. When she is not touring and Deejaying, she is acting and working on brand endorsements. “3 running campaigns, 2 productions (acting gigs), DJ gigs back-to-back, music on the way, YT soon (mixes and all) and 2 major contracts under my company.”

“I wish I could send GOD flowers, give him half of everything or something! Gratitude does not seem enough for the amount of blessings he’s pouring into my life!” she tweeted.

She had two productions with The Wife, but that ended because of alleged diva tendencies. But she refuted those and said it’s because of schedule clashes.

A source told the media that Lerato had to be scrapped because, “She gave the production team a hard time. If she was not late for shootings, she would not come at all. This forced producers and writers to make last-minute plans, and that was an inconvenience for them.”

But her team addressed these claims and said they are not true, “Concerning the allegations that have been made in the media relating to Thuli’s professionalism and work commitment, we vehemently would like to refute them as baseless and devoid of substance.

“It is imperative to note Thuli and the producers of the show reached a mutual agreement to end her role on ’The Wife’ pursuant to them agreeing that the production schedules for continued filming were unsuitable for all parties involved. Her portrayal of Lerato and working with the cast has brought her immense joy and has made an indelible contribution to her growth and career as an actor.”

Thuli Phongolo under fire over her Big Brother Mzansi performance

The Big Brother Mzansi house is heating up, and so are the celebrity guest performances, as the show nears the end of the current season. But it seems Thuli Phongolo’s guest appearance was not everything the fans would have hoped for.

The celebrity DJ was the most recent guest on the show, gracing the decks for the Saturday night party. She showed up and showed out, bringing everything she had to the turntable. Or did she?

Following Thuli P’s performance, fans immediately took to social media to review the episode, but it was not all praise. In fact, quite a number of fans felt like the DJ did the performance a huge disservice.

Many could not understand how she can call herself a DJ but play every single song from start to finish. According to them, part of what makes a great DJ is their mastery of transitions from one song to another. But one who plays every single song to completion might as well be the host of a house party, or is practically similar to a non-DJ playing music off their phone while doing chores at home.

Thuli Phongolo rubbishes rumours she was fired for her unprofessionalism

Amid rumours circulating that Thulisile Phongolo was fired by Stained glass from The Wife because of her unprofessionalism, the actress finally breaks her silence. Thuli Phongolo rubbished the rumours that have circulated in a single post. The actress who has been taking on the role of Lerato on the Showmax show, took to Instagram to tell her official side of the whole issue.

In her Instagram story, Thuli has shared a statement written by her management that rubbishes the rumour that she was fired from the Stained glass production. In their statement to the public, her management team wrote that:

Thuli Phongolo’s character as the lazy journalist Lerato was last seen on The Wife on last week’s episodes. Lerato was a good friend to Mahlomu and her workmate; however, she had a sneaky side as she would sell out her friend for the spotlight when the chance arose. In the past few weeks, Lerato was shown as someone who used her sexual relationship with her boss to get her way at work.

Back in November, Phongolo addressed those dating rumours once again after some of her Instagram posts prompted more speculation about a secret romance with Maphorisa. Thuli Phongolo announces she’s being tested positive for COVID-19. The multi-talented star revealed the saddening news on social media, saying she won’t be able to fulfill any of her engagements.

“It is with great sadness to inform you that I have unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 and will no longer be able to fulfill any of my engagements. I have taken the necessary safety precautions by self-isolating, and taking the medications prescribed by the doctor,” the DJ said.

Most recently, she has been linked to Mr JazziQ when pictures emerged of them looking cozy and very saucy with each other.
