Things have rather gone pear shape for former Big Brother Mzansi’s second runner and most loved housemate, Themba ‘Broly’ Mabaso. Following his public breakup with his girlfriend, Mpho WaBadimo, scores of fans have turned against Mabaso already.

Trouble in paradise for Themba Broly as it is slowly becoming apparent that scores of his fans are completely over his prime. Mabaso’s downfall may also be attributed to his recent doings, following Mpho WaBadimo taking to social media to air some of Mabaso’s dirty laundry, surrounding their break-up.

While scores of their fans are still coming to terms with the news of their break-ups, Mabaso is slowly losing scores of them in the process. Ahead of his upcoming meet and greet event taking place in April, people have made it crystal clear that they won’t be in attendance.

Back in February 2023, Mpho Wabadimo was celebrated as she became the second covergirl for the newly re-established magazine Bona. This is as Mpho officially announced that she was pregnant with her second child. A child which she was having with Themba Broly.

Mpho’s cover was shot alone and she looked happy. So much so that she was the toast of the town as her fellow Mzansi celebs and fans celebrated her achieving her first cover shoot.

Following his missing in action on Mpho WaBadimo and the Bona Magazine team for their pregnancy cover shoot. Fans have expressed their skepticism to attend Mabaso’s meet and greet event, as he is now notoriously famous for not pitching into things.

Themba from Big Brother Mzansi hospitalised

South African reality TV star Themba Broly Mabaso has taken to Twitter to thank his fans for the well wishes.

This comes after he revealed that he is in the hospital. In a short video, he thanked his fans for their prayers while lying in a hospital bed. Although Themba did not reveal what landed him in the hospital, he hopes to make a full recovery.

“Thanx for the prayers may GOD bless you (and help my cum out alive and safe,” he wrote.

Fans took to the comments section to wish him a speedy recovery.

Big Brother Mzansi’s Mpho and Themba getting married on The Black Door

Big Brother Mzansi lovebirds have scored a huge TV milestone. The famous duo, Mpho Wa Badimo and Themba Broly who are already rumoured to have gotten married last year will be on The Black Door.

According to the press release, The Black Door viewers will know that from time to time, the show is graced by celebrity guests- Zodwa Wa Bantu was a memorable moment! – and this Friday’s episode sees a wedding with the Big Brother couple.

The Black Door is just out of a production break after viewers requested that the show be placed on pause to accommodate families staying up late during the festive season.

Since the show resumed on Monday 9th January, the story continued with recent festive activities, including a Christmas and New Year’s Eve Party.

So, here’s an overview of how the wedding unfolds: It’s New Year’s Eve at The Black Door and Romeo has invited Mpho (as Pearl) and Themba, appearing as Zola. The two guests then decide to get married at the club. But there will be drama between the couple and, Slay Queen is involved.

Does Slay Queen, portrayed by the gorgeous Thabisile Zikhali, have s.e.x with Themba on the show?

Big Brother Mzansi’s Themba shows off his new car, a Mercedes Benz

Big Brother Mzansi’s ThembaBroly Mabaso shows off his new car, a Mercedes Benz. Taking to Instagram a few days ago, the musician shared a video of himself flexing the new ride with a big smile sitting on his face.

He didn’t write anything about the car, but lots of his followers were able to connect the dot and flood the post with congratulatory messages.

“Congratulations and May God continue to elevate you. And bless everyone who showed and continues showing you love,” a fan wrote.

It is highly possible that the TV reality star bought the car to mark his birthday which he celebrated days ago.

Tears all over Big Brother Mzansi star, Themba’s eyes after meeting Noxolo Grootboom

#BBMzansi Big Brother Mzansi season 3 contestant Themba Mabaso was emotional when he realized veteran broadcaster Noxolo Grootboom knew who he was.

Taking to his Twitter timeline, Themba shared a video them on their first encounter.

“Tears were all over my eyes when the great Noxolo Grootboom came straight to my table after receiving an award @satmaawards to greet me personally, I never imagined that she even knows me.”

Noxolo retired from the SABC last year after 37 years. She read her last isiXhosa news bulletin to 3.8-million viewers on March 30 2021.
The SABC congratulated Noxolo on her honorary doctorate from Nelson Mandela University shortly after she received one from Rhodes University. They said she left a legacy within its newsroom, mentoring, inspiring and setting a high standard.

In her 37 years at the public broadcaster, Ms Grootboom was known for her work ethic, commitment to her job, as well as the development and use of isiXhosa as a language within the context of news storytelling,” Deidre Uren, acting group executive: news and current affairs, said.

The 31-year-old tattoo artist and rapper went to Durban to record music with DJ Tira who he told the publication has been an inspiration in his life.

Though Themba was not yet signed to the DJ’s Afrotainment record label, he was grateful to be able to learn from him at close range.

“I have been gigging with DJ Tira and am recording music with him now. I’m learning from how DJ Tira works hard. He’s not just gigging and having fun, he’s working hard. I wake up every morning and remind myself of what is happening. I don’t know how to feel. I’m just grateful … It’s God, what can I say? I will try to make them proud.”
