Fired Actors We Miss On The Queen Mzansi

The Queen Mzansi is one of South Africa’s top TV shows. The fast-paced show which is produced by The Fergusons features a star-studded cast including Connie Ferguson and SK Khoza. The Queen revolves around the larger-than-life Khoza family which is calculative, and corrupt

The show premiered in August 2016 and it has since become a household name. Viewers are often left disappointed when their favorite characters leave the show which makes them question their exit. This is as The Fergusons are notorious for allegedly firing actors.

1 Sello Maake KaNcube

The seasoned actor who played the flamboyant Kgosi left the show in 2019 and much to the delight of viewers of the show, Shona Ferguson recently hinted at his return. This follows after he posted a video on his Instagram page, of the cast and crew members of the production welcoming him back. The actor left the show unexpectantly in 2019 but we are happy that he has decided to come back.

  1. Rami Chuene.

The actress left the show after she was weighed in her two cents on Vatiswa Ndara and The Ferguson’s drama. This follows after the actress exposed The Fergusons of exploitation.

Rami later announced her exit on social media and speaking to Somizi on his show, here is what she had to say when asked if she would work with them again.

“It depends. I would tell them to listen more. Being able to be a listener doesn’t take away from the kind of leader that you are. Also being creative does not mean you have to close off your human element, ” It is unfortunate (that producers see expression as a form of attack on them) because that is the nature of the business. In the entertainment industry, people should not be untouchable.”

3 Dineo Langa.

It was reported that she left the show after being axed but, According to IOL, The showrunner Laura Nell, the actress was not given the boot

Dineo’s contract was not terminated. She is still on payroll until the end of May. Dineo was released to go and shoot her movie. Scripts had to be rewritten to accommodate this as she was on an ‘A’ storyline. She was scheduled to return in April, but due to the lockdown, everything has changed.

  1. Xolani Mayekiso

The actor who played Thato recently left the show and his exit was unexpected, “Thank you for welcoming “Thato” into your homes from season 2. The opportunity has been amazing. What a journey… I’m so grateful. It’s a WRAP guys!! Big thank you to the cast & crew,” Xolani wrote on Twitter after his final appearance on the show.

  1. Loyiso Macdonald.

Rumors suggest that he got fired from the show, but Phil Mphela said he decided to leave on his own accord. The actor was with the show for several years and we look forward to seeing his next projects.

Kagiso and Goodness on The Queen have announced they will be moving out of the Khoza mansion.

Harriet is heartbroken at the thought of “losing” another child.

Kagiso is of two minds about moving out with their kid.

It’s about time he cut the umbilical cord and wear big boy pants.

Meanwhile, Goodness wants to move far away from the Khoza’s, even if it means going to another province.

Talk of this move has unsettled their marriage and things aren’t looking good.

It’s such a relief that Emma and Zolani’s baby on The River is finally back home, safe and sound.
Emma’s cold-hearted mum had kidnapped her own grandchild and demanded a ransom.

Zungazi really rocked the boat at the Dikana mansion with her cheap tactics.

Zweli is back and it seems as if there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

His marriage with Lindiwe is on the mend.

However, Florah’s niece might just rock the boat in the mansion after she moved in to help her aunt put together the new Refilwe competition.

It seems Zweli has taken a liking to the new person in the house and things might take a sharp left turn.

Zweli must not think of cheating with her because Florah might have to bury another family member.

The Queen boasts a star-studded cast that features the likes of Connie Ferguson, Jessica Nkosi, Ntando Duma and Rapulana Seiphemo. With each season being introduced the show always sees new faces being introduced to the storyline and some characters being written off the show.

The show has lost one of its much-loved characters. Loyiso Mcdonald who plays Kagiso Khoza has apparently called it quits.

“While MacDonald’s first prominent role was as Ntando in Isindingo, it was his role in The Queen where he played Kagiso Khoza that made him a household name. It will be interesting to see how The Queen plays out Loyiso Khoza’s exit scenes.”

“The dynamic within the Khoza house will now be strange since Goodness, played by Zenande Mfenyane is back on the show and her character is tied to Kagiso,” The TEA reported.

Another actor who recently left the show after her short stint came to an end is Candice Modiselle.

In a post, she expressed her gratitude for being part of the show.”One of life’s greatest blessings is waking up and doing what you love. It’s even greater when you’re in the company of people that respect, honor and appreciate the CRAFT the way you do. Moments where you just show up, commit, give without ceasing and learn without ego. I thank God for the joy of storytelling and opportunities where I leave far more enriched than when I entered,” she shared.

Paying tribute to SK Khoza, Candice said the actor has an infectious gift that motivates actors to excel. “Thank you for being a sobering reminder that I CAN and I WILL. You have an infectious gift that invites performers to step up and shine, in every scene without fail. You ignite a spark of newness to every offer. That’s a gift. Cherish it”
