The Queen boasts a star-studded cast that features the likes of Connie Ferguson, Jessica Nkosi, Ntando Duma and Rapulana Seiphemo. With each season being introduced the show always sees new faces being introduced to the storyline and some characters being written off the show.

The show has lost one of its much-loved characters. Loyiso Mcdonald who plays Kagiso Khoza has apparently called it quits.

“While MacDonald’s first prominent role was as Ntando in Isindingo, it was his role in The Queen where he played Kagiso Khoza that made him a household name. It will be interesting to see how The Queen plays out Loyiso Khoza’s exit scenes.”

“The dynamic within the Khoza house will now be strange since Goodness, played by Zenande Mfenyane is back on the show and her character is tied to Kagiso,” The TEA reported.

Another actor who recently left the show after her short stint came to an end is Candice Modiselle.

In a post, she expressed her gratitude for being part of the show.”One of life’s greatest blessings is waking up and doing what you love. It’s even greater when you’re in the company of people that respect, honor and appreciate the CRAFT the way you do. Moments where you just show up, commit, give without ceasing and learn without ego. I thank God for the joy of storytelling and opportunities where I leave far more enriched than when I entered,” she shared.

Paying tribute to SK Khoza, Candice said the actor has an infectious gift that motivates actors to excel. “Thank you for being a sobering reminder that I CAN and I WILL. You have an infectious gift that invites performers to step up and shine, in every scene without fail. You ignite a spark of newness to every offer. That’s a gift. Cherish it”
