Nota Baloyi marks 2nd year wedding anniversary with his estranged wife, Berita.

In 2020, the two announced their wedding but registered their union in 2021.

Taking to Twitter, the businessman shared photos from the wedding ceremony and revealed the vows they took.

“On this day in 2021, at Home Affairs on Plein Street, in front of God & my parents, I took a vow to have & to hold, to love & to cherish my WIFE, in SICKNESS & in health, for richer or for POORER, until death us do part… I didn’t take those words lightly & I’m a man of my word,” he wrote.

However, Berita has separated from him due to abuse in the marriage and they’re processing their divorce

“MacG tried to use my wife to slander me” – Nota

Nota Baloyi slams Mac G following the interview conducted with his estranged wife, Berita on Podcast and Chill.

On Friday, a new episode was released and the Zimbabwean-born singer opened up on why she left her marriage.

“I left because my ex-husband was showing a certain level of rage and anger that I’ve never experienced before. The last incident of rage that happened was when I called the therapist, and the therapist was like, this is dangerous, someone is going to die in this house.”

The interview triggered Baloyi has it got him ranting all day on Twitter.

He further called out the host of the podcast, Mac G and slammed him.

“MacG tried to use my wife to slander me & my chillers showed him whose boss? The viewership is dropping with every episode & there are 900,000 subscribers but not even 200,000 views in over a day? Anyway, I’m back on the Hustlers Corner with DJ Sbu this easter Monday. We’re back!”

“I warned MacG not to let fame get to his head now he has to DJ for a living again,” Nota added.

The two personalities were a couple till 2022 when the singer announced their separation.

Weeks ago, the Zimbabwean-born star disclosed that their divorce is being processed.

However, despite all of these claims from Berita, Baloyi hasn’t taken a break from taunting her through different social media platforms.

Nota resumed social media with new snaps of himself being topless and captioned with: “Gained weight without my wife feeding me… Self love looks good on me!”

He further blamed Tik Tok for the end of their marriage.

Here’s why Berita walked away from Nota

Zimbabwean-born singer, songwriter, and music producer, Gugulethu “Berita” Khumalo has opened up about what made her walk away from her marriage to Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi.

Since Berita revealed she separated from Nota and left their marital home in January 2021, her estranged husband has shared vile Twitter posts in reference to her and private details about their marriage of almost a year.

In a recent interview on Kaya 959, Berita got candid about experiencing anxiety attacks in the studio in mid-2021, and many occasions where she felt abused by her husband and went to therapy.

“It took a long time for him to shout at me, swear at me or talk bad about me. For the longest time, he was doing it to people around me … When we were dating and when we first got married I only started really seeing the signs of what was going on, that I was in too deep,” she said.

The day she decided to leave her marriage in January 2022, Berita left with a big shopping bag telling her then-husband she was returning her items to the store and later said she was heading to the studio.

Little did Nota know that Berita has shoved some of her belongings in the shopping bag, booked herself into a hotel, and would later move back to her birth country Zimbabwe staying with her grandmother for six months.

“It’s been a difficult year to be displaced and abused publicly … I have many memories of the day I left my marriage … I was in a narcissistic and abusive relationship … The day that I learned I was in an abusive relationship, I did not stay one minute.”

Nota was evasive when approached by the publication for comment saying he was set to host a show “about teen suicide prevention, and cyberbullying”.

Previously addressing his marriage woes with the publication, Nota said he was praying about the matter as he hadn’t been in communication with Berita.

“For the record I love my wife … We’ll pray through this. All couples have challenges, but communication is key. I have not been able to communicate with her. Until I do I will continue to pray for her peace & wellbeing. As for my mental health, I will never let anyone trivialize it!”

The two have gone their separate ways after being married for over a year; the singer claimed she was being abused in the marriage, but her husband says otherwise.

Taking to Twitter, Nota mocked those who invite her to perform at their wedding ceremonies.

He bragged about getting her masters for her, but he lamented that she’s using them against him which he regrets.
“The day I get lawyers to prevent my wife from performing songs I wrote she’ll stop thinking I’m playing… I’m quarter to right now. I didn’t get her those masters back so she could use them against me. She must count herself lucky, I’ve been so patient. I knew I’d regret saving her,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user dragged him for not being a loving husband like Dr Musa Mthombeni.

Baloyi responded with: “Dr Musa & I are actually cut from the same cloth the difference is our wives, his can appreciate a good man but my wife was abandoned by her parents hence her co-dependency & anxious attachment issues which made her feel like she needed to sabotage our relationship… A tragedy!”

Nota under fire over his comments about Mihlali

Controversial Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi went from being a so-called reputable artist manager to a divisive media personality who has not only lost the respect of his industry mates. But recently, he has also lost the respect of the social media, Twitter specifically, which for some time he was revered for. Therefore, for many it does come as a surprise when tweeps were letting him have it for his misogynistic and arguably hateful comments directed at Mihlali Ndamase.

But now tweeps have seemingly caught up to the rest of the world as they have been dragging Nota for filth. First, it was when he came for Black Coffee’s physical challenge after a video of Black Coffee circulated stating what any rational artist would say about an artist manager like Nota- that they would not work with him. Seemingly, this is the stick that broke the camel’s birth as they are dragging him for comments said about Mihlali Ndamase.

Ndamase has been a hot topic in recent months as she has been dabbed by some- or Musa Khawula- as the face of IT Girls, who allegedly work the bedroom rather their actual career paths for money. A matter which was further fueled by sentiments shared by MacG and the podcast. But MacG had to let sleeping dogs lie when more women spoke about his obsessive nature over the matter.

Therefore, tweeps were not having it when Nota came for Mihlali. His comments were hateful and misogynistic to say the least. Not only does he actively objectify Mihlali. But Nota goes on to compare her to a dog that can be killed by its owner with no consequence to the owner because they “bought” Mhlali… Let that sink in…
