Lasizwe raises R2 Million in 7 days for WITS students #FeesMustFall

The comedian requested people to donate R10 in an FNB account to help raise funds for the #FeesMustFall WITS students who are struggling to register for 2021 due to unpaid fees from previous years.

Few days ago, the star revealed he’s been able to gather R1Million in 5days.

Well, it looks like things are going faster than he thought as he shared it has reached R2Million.

The comedian mentioned that standard bank just donated R1Million to the funds making it a total of R2Million.

Lasizwe made the news known through his Twitter thanking those who made it possible and who might have contributed one way or the other.

Lasizwe’s fund raising for Wits students reaches K317 in 24hrs

Following the protest by Wits students last week, Lasizwe pledged to give away R10 000 to a student who needed it for registration.

The gesture has grown into a fund-raising campaign called #R10GoesALongWay, which raised over R317 000 in 24 hours.

Lasizwe partnered with media ex Sibu Mabena, Ayanda “King Aya” Mhlongo and dancer Takkies Dinwiddy to crowd-fund for students.

The campaign is being run on Instagram. The aim is to reach R1 million by Wednesday.

Lasizwe told Daily Sun the fund was unplanned.

“I wanted to donate R10 000 from my savings to help students. I posted this on Twitter and Instagram and got suggestions from people,” said Lasizwe.

“I added Sibu to the Instagram live stream and we had students coming through and telling us what was happening at universities. We added another R10 000.

“King Aya also jumped in and suggested we open an account where people can donate the extra R10 000.”

He said they thought about calling their celebrity friends to jump in on their Instagram live stream so their audiences could be aware of the campaign.

“We’re only asking for R10,” he said.

Celebs Sarah Langa, Jessica Nkosi, Olwethu Leshabane, DJ pH, Kat Ncala, and companies like KFC and Clyrofor pledged money.

Lasizwe said they were still looking for an organisation that deals with crowd funding.

“We also need to be transparent in our dealings.”

Lasizwe takes his Frustrations out on a Punching Bag

After suffering a very embarrassing heartbreak Lasizwe has posed as a person who moved on but is still carrying a whole lot of resentment. The comedian and entertainer recently showed us how galled he is on social media during a gym session.

His former bae broke his heart and left him humiliated when he dribbled him during their 2-minute relationship. The video he shared of himself during a gym session probably left his former bae wishing he was not that punching bag.
Lasizwe can be seen angrily striking the punching bag to the point where he loses it for a second before regaining his thoughts and calming himself down.

Lasizwe thought he had found love in a loving partner but to his surprise it was all just a sham. When his bae was heading to Cape Town Lasizwe dropped him off at the airport. The reality star appeared on Instagram Live on Monday after he discovered his boyfriend in Johannesburg and chatted to Molemo ’Lemii LoCo’ Lehoko on his Mjolo Monday Q&A sessions where he revealed what really went down between him and his former Bae.

Lasizwe said in the Q&A session: “I left my Bae at the airport and then decided to go out with his friends that night. Then they bumped into my boyfriend at Great Dane.

Lemii then asked if the YouTuber’s then boyfriend gave any explanation as to why he was there and not in Cape Town. Lasizwe replied: My thing is when I saw him, I was so shocked. Because you saw my stories that I was crying.

I went through like the most like I have lost a limb. And even though our relationship is two seconds old, but I’ve known you for a good year and you’ve been trying to get with me for six months and finally I’ve given you a chance.

Lasizwe has decided spill the tea on what is going on in his relationship with his new bae. The star has been all over social media sharing that he is heart broken.

In the live, Lasizwe mentioned that he dropped his bae off at the airport because he was heading to Cape Town.

After saying their goodbye’s Lasizwe decides to let his hair down and go out with his friends.

Lasizwe recently reached 1 million Instagram followers and celebrated the major move in style. Although it ended with tweeps uncovering his alleged bae, he decided to mize questions he was plagued with.

Lasizwe posted a video on Instagram which had many people talking. In the video, he was seen getting cozy with a man suspected to be The River’s Wiseman Zitha. The TV star captioned the video with, “Come Celebrate 1 Million Followers with us. Lasizwe shares his Covid-19 test results

Lasizwe has finally gotten the result to the Covid-19 test he stated he was going to do.

The star took to his social media few hours ago asked fans to pray for him as he goes to get himself tested for Covid-19.
