Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are putting their four children first. As the couple continues to work out the specifics of their divorce agreement, multiple sources confirm to E! News that the pair has agreed to joint custody in hopes of keeping things relatively normal for the kids.

“Kim thinks it’s important that the kids have a relationship with their dad and that he is a big part of their lives,” a source close to the reality star exclusively explained to E! News. “For now, the kids have primarily been with Kim and living at the house. Any time Kanye wants to see them, he can. She is not stopping him.”

The source added, “Kim is not sure what the future will be like, but she has made it clear to Kanye that he is welcome to spend time with them whenever he wants. A separate insider echoed these sentiments and explained that both mom and dad are still very much involved with all four children.

Things are as normal as they can be for the kids,” the source explained. “Both parents are spending time with the kids and doing their best to make sure they’re not being affected by this change. Back on Feb. 19, Kim officially filed for divorce from the Grammy-winning rapper after six years of marriage. Although both parties tried to repair their relationship with trips, marriage counselling and more, the KKW Beauty founder ultimately decided it was time to end things.

“Kim was just tired of waiting,” a source previously explained. “She tried to give it a chance. She wanted to do this last year. She gave it plenty of time but it’s just time to move on. There were no affairs. No one did anything bad. They grew apart.”

According to a source, Kanye is back in Cody, Wyoming this week as Kim continues to receive support from her sisters and mom Kris Jenner. And instead of worrying about dating and finding a new man, Kim remains focused on herself and her little ones. As a source explained, “She has the full support of her family and dating isn’t on her radar, she is solely focused on her kids.

Reality star Kim Kardashian has filed papers to divorce her rapper husband Kanye West after almost seven years of marriage, a Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman said on Friday.

A representative of Kim, 40, confirmed she had filed papers. Celebrity website TMZ cited unidentified sources as saying the split was amicable and that Kim had asked for joint custody of their four children.

Representatives for Kanye did not immediately return a request for comment.

This follows months of rumours that the relationship between the two celebrities was on the rocks.

Kim and Kanye tied the knot in May 2014, making them one of the biggest celebrity couples in Hollywood.

The couple’s relationship became strained last year when Kanye, 43, who suffers from bipolar disorder, ran an unsuccessful campaign marked by erratic statements to be elected U.S. president under his self-styled birthday party.

In July last year, Kim released a statement urging compassion for Kanye’s mental heath struggles, but the couple appeared to grow further apart with the 21-time Grammy winner spending most of his time at his ranch in Wyoming and Kim remaining in their Calabasas mansion outside Los Angeles. -Reuters

Kim Kardashian West to plans to spend Valentine’s Day away from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian West is said to be planning a Valentine’s Day “celebration” with her kids and family – without Kanye West.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is said to have very little contact with her 43-year-old rapper husband and is to spend the day of romance with their kids, North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, Psalm, 21 months, and family.

An insider told People: “Kim is great. She has a Valentine’s Day celebration planned with her kids and family. She likes to make it special for the kids. She doesn’t have any contact with Kanye.

“It’s obvious that she is just focused on the future.”
It was recently claimed that Kanye is “less than thrilled” that his divorce from the 40-year-old reality star will be broadcast on TV.

The trainee lawyer will reportedly discuss the end of her marriage on the last series of the family’s E! reality show and the “Bound 2” star is not impressed.

A source said last month: “He is less than thrilled. She will continue to focus on her business empire. Kim has been in individual counselling and is at peace with where her life is headed.”

Kim and Kanye had been in marriage counselling as they “tried to work through things”.

A source said of their counselling sessions: “Divorce has been discussed, but Kim wants more than anything for their relationship to work. There wasn’t anything specific that happened that led them to this point … They are 100 percent aligned when it comes to the kids.”

However, another insider insisted the couple are just dealing with “regular relationship issues”.

They added of their struggles: “It’s just regular relationship issues. There is no one else involved. Divorce talks have been on and off with them since the spring.”

A source previously claimed Kim has accepted she and Kanye are just “not on the same page” anymore and she is focusing her energy on her future.

The insider claimed: “They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family. And Kim is okay with it.”

“Kim knows what she wants to do with her life. She wants to keep living in LA, create the best life for the kids and focus on her work passions.”

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West stop marriage counselling

Rapper Kanye West and socialite wife Kim Kardashian have reportedly stopped going for marriage counselling. Kanye might talk to a divorce lawyer this week, according to media sources.

The couple has been married for six years but started living separately a while back. Reports suggest that communication between Kim and Kanye had completely stopped and to avoid their children from getting affected, Kanye decided to move out.
The two had been trying to mend their relationship over the last few months by talking to a marriage counsellor.

The couple has four children together- daughters North (seven-years-old), Chicago (three) and sons Saint (five) and Psalm (one).

Meanwhile, a separate source said Kanye has become increasingly uncomfortable with the star lives of the Kardashians and “is completely over the entire family… he wants nothing to do with them”.

The source added that he eventually found their reality show “unbearable”.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been in marriage counselling, and we’ve learned the subject of divorce was looming for much of 2020, but they haven’t given up.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, the marriage was in deep trouble for the last half of 2020. In fact, we’re told Kim was ready to pull the plug on the marriage at one point but it was when Kanye was going through a serious bipolar episode and she felt it was cruel to do it when he wasn’t well.

They have been living separately for a few months … with Kanye spending the majority of his time in Wyoming while she has been in Calabasas with the kids. They were absorbed in personal business projects and didn’t focus on making any final decisions.
Kim has gone back and forth, we’re told … at times thinking divorce was the only option but other times believing there was a chance to save the marriage.

That’s why they took a family vacation late last year … to see if they could repair things. Everything got put on hold for the Christmas holidays, but now the issue is front and center. Kim’s had disso queen Laura Wasser on retainer for years for various reasons, and the subject of divorce was discussed months ago, but Kim never gave the green light to file.

Her ambivalence is understandable, what with 4 small kids. They married in May, 2014.

Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West have reportedly been living separated for a year amid their alleged marriage troubles.

The KKW Beauty owner, 39, is said to have been living at the couple’s palatial Calabasas, Los Angeles home while the ‘Wash Us In The Blood’ rapper, 43 is thought to have been based at his $14 million ranch in Cody, Wyoming.

Pictures of Kim looking upset during a reunion with Kanye – who continues his controversial run for presidency – in Wyoming surfaced this week as speculation continues to bubble that the pair are facing troubles in their marriage.

Kim was later spotted returning to Los Angeles by herself, a week after the rapper embarked on a chaotic tweeting spree and made bold claims about his wife and her family.

The couple reunited for the first time in person on Monday after Kardashian flew to Cody, Wyoming, to visit the rapper, whose behavior in recent weeks has been increasingly erratic, including divulging deeply personal details about his family and marriage. In photos, the reality star, 39, was seen crying in the car with West, 43, and a source tells PEOPLE she “feels that she has tried everything.”

“She isn’t getting back what she needs from Kanye,” says the source. “She was to the point that she flew to Cody to basically tell him their marriage is over and to say goodbye.”

According to the source, it seems West still wants to work on the marriage — he recently apologized to his wife on Twitter — but hasn’t yet taken steps to repair the relationship. The two share four children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2, as well as sons Saint, 4, and 14-month-old Psalm.

“He doesn’t seem to get what she is saying,” the source says. “He hasn’t changed anything that she told him needs to change.”

“Kim is very torn,” the source adds. “The last thing she wants is to be divorced with four kids. She knows that she will be fine financially, but her concerns are the kids and the partnership. She is moving towards a divorce, but who knows if she will actually sign papers.”

Reps for Kardashian and West did not return PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

West has also launched an unlikely bid for President of the United States, which sources have told PEOPLE comes amid a new cycle in his bipolar disorder.

A separate source told PEOPLE on Wednesday that during their reunion, Kardashian urged West not to move forward with the campaign and “focus on his mental health instead.” Earlier this month, she publicly addressed her husband’s diagnosis in a lengthy statement posted on her Instagram Story, asking fans for “compassion” and acknowledging their “complicated and painful” situation.

Sources have also told PEOPLE that the couple, who have been married for six years, had been discussing a split for some time prior to West’s latest string of controversial statements and Twitter sprees.

Another source told PEOPLE this week that Kardashian “feels trapped.”

“She loves Kanye and she thinks of him as the love of her life,” the source said. “But she doesn’t know what to do.”

According to the source, Kardashian, who returned home to Los Angeles on Tuesday, “knows that it’s not healthy for her to be around him now.”

“And it’s honestly not healthy for the kids,” the source said. “He needs to get his stuff together before he can be any sort of partner or father.”

Still, no matter what, “Kim wants the best for Kanye,” the source said. “And she will always want what’s best for him.”

Kim Kardashian West speaks out on Kanye West’s Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis

On Monday night, he tweeted allegations that Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner had tried to “lock him up,” and on Tuesday night, he claimed that he had been considering divorcing his wife. A source recently told PEOPLE that West’s tweets, which coincide with his attempt at a presidential run, come amid a new cycle in the rapper’s bipolar disorder.

Kardashian, 39, addressed the news in a lengthy note posted to her Instagram Story on Wednesday morning, asking fans for “compassion” as she publicly addressed her husband’s diagnosis for the first time.

“As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder,” she began. “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”

West, 43, seemed to reference his wife’s statement before it was released, tweeting late Tuesday night, “Kriss and Kim put out a statement without my approval … that’s not what a wife should do.” He has since deleted the post.
