TV presenter and DJ Lamiez Holworthy has stood up against the trolls who bullied her for her cellulite.

he Live Amp presenter posted photos of herself with her co-host Speedsta and amapiano singers Reece Madlisa and Zuma. But the photo was met with criticism as people commented on the cellulite on her legs.

Lamiez started by addressing one troll. She responded to the comment with a photo of the Facebook user and said she was inflicting her insecurities on her

“It’s firstly that fake Versace T-shirt, then most importantly the fact that you are way bigger than me, yet you’re in my comments? Why? Is it because it pains you to see me so confident and now you want to inflict your insecurities on me? What a joke,” Lamiez told the troll.

She then posted a lengthy message, saying she wouldn’t edit her photos and look like something she’s not.

“My name is Lamiez Holworthy and this is me in my purest form. I’ll be damned if I edit my pictures to appear tinier or to hide my cellulite or stretch mark or two.”

Lamiez said she was tired of women being put under pressure to impress people.

You know why? I am tired of women (young and old) putting themselves under unnecessary pressure because of social media. Imagine trying to look like someone who doesn’t even look like themselves.

“I am a public figure with millions of followers, most of whom are women of all ages. And it is my responsibility to show them it is okay to be normal and no one can use your flaws against you when you make peace with them.”

“I work out and eat right for my own well-being, not because I am not trying to fit into a box or have anyone police me! This is me – deal with it,” she said.

Luckily she met her soulmate rapper Khuli Chana who, along with his family, have accepted her for who she is and she loves it. “Honestly? The thought of my in laws trying to box me was my biggest fear. Kgante I’d be blessed with a family that gets and accepts me as much my own does. My mother in law? Lepara! Nna ke lepantsula (I’m a pantsula) and married or not, this is who I am,” she answered.

She also thinks society is to blame for people fearing marriage so much because of the ridiculous expectations. “Also society and its unrealistic expectations play a big role in why batho ba tshaba lenyalo (people are so scared about marriage.) For the longest time I’d get silly comments like “You’re a DJ who will marry you? Or “With so many tattoos will you ever get married?”

Lamiez schooled people and said marriage and having kids is no joke, she says not every woman wants to get married and have kids, “Society constantly measures a woman’s worth by the above and it’s exhausting coz 1. Not all woman want to have kids or get married and 2. THAT’S OKAY!!!

Lamiez was only dishing out some facts to her followers when one came for her and asked why does she not give Khuli kids. The troll pushed it by asking if she even can bare children.

“That’s not OK you can’t have everything you want in life and fail to give Khuli a child, issa no no. Don’t you want a child or Khuli doesn’t want a child or is it bcoz you guys can’t make a child?”

Lamiez clapped back hard. Good for her!

“You’re a joke. The point that I just made flew right over your head neh?! Imagine a whole adult like yourself so invested in MY life. Tell me how any of this is your business also? O stlaela wena, jy’s Dom! Houtkop nje. shame man.”

Lamiez was not impressed by this and lashed out even more, “We really tweet amongst baloi Le Di houtkop (witches) and it’s sad because contrary to what many believe, Twitter can be such a beautiful place. Not only because I’ve seen you guys come together, stand together and support each other for a greater course but also because y’all are super funny too,” she tweeted.

“I’ve had to deal with a lot of chaos at gigs (as patiently as possible),” she wrote.

“But I need you to help me make sense of someone legit pulling my hair while one or two others touched my bum as security tried to escort me out. In the 11 years that I’ve done this I’ve never felt so violated.

On Sunday, she thanked everyone who reached out to check on her and she said she’s okay.

“Thank you to everyone whose reached out. Ke sharp! Ke lesole – we soldier on. But boundaries? Me? My body?! WILL be respected!!!” she wrote.
