MDUDUZI “Mdu Khekhe” Mabaso is getting praise from fans and his on-screen wife, Vele Manenje.He plays Mgedeza on Diep City.

Vele, who plays Mgedeza’s wife Maureen took to Instagram and thanked Mdu for being honest, loyal and holding her hand on the Diep City set.

She wrote: “This is obviously going to seem bias but ke ngi hlanganaphi lapho mina (why would I care)? @mdukhekhe ‘Gedi Gabadiya’ is legit at the top of my list via my favourite actor.

“Every day on set with you is like a masterclass to me. I spend most of my time with you on set. Over the months I have watched a movie within a movie. I still get goosebumps when I watch onscreen because of your ethic, loyalty to your character, honesty and love for your craft.

“I’ve seen you bury yourself in the story and allow the character’s mind, spirit and soul take over you. I hardly tell you this my friend because I’m always out of words after we tell our story.

“I believe there’s nothing I can say that you don’t know yet but you know what I appreciate your talent and appreciate the friendship, brotherhood and the ability to use your wisdom to create the best and safest space to tell our stories.Danko.”

Her friends and fans couldn’t agree more as they commended Mduduzi’s acting skills.

Actor Mduduzi Mabaso is a man in love and isn’t afraid to flaunt it.

Taking to his Instagram recently, the loved actor decided to celebrate the love of his life, Fatima Metsileng.

“Celebrating the one you love and respect your God is gonna bless you more as long as she’s happy. Yes, we have temptations, but fight. My love I can’t believe after so many years I still have butterflies. God bless this love.

“Pupu, please teach me how to love you more than this. I will do the same also but you know I won’t love you more than God,” he said.

Mdu and Fatima have been together and married for more than 10 years and are parents of four children, two of which are from Mdu’s previous marriage.

He shared a range of snaps to celebrate his person.

Popular for his role as hard-core gangster Suffocate on the now canned Rhythm City, Mduduzi told a local publication previously he was, in reality, a “softie”.

“I am very soft. Most of the characters I have played are hard-core township characters and I am not like that. I guess first impressions stick because my first roles on TV were playing those kind of characters.”

Actor Mduduzi Mabaso is mourning his father, who died on Saturday, 3 July.

He said his dad had been battling an illness that eventually killed him.

“I’m devastated to announce the death of my dad, who meant everything to me. I’ll always respect him and he’ll continue to be in my life.”

Mduduzi said he was appreciative for the overflowing of help he had gotten from his fans.

“I truly need to say thanks to them for all their help. I was unable to have done this without them.

“This is a difficult time for me and my family,” said the entertainer, who recently played the famous person of Suffocate on Rhythm City.

Mduduzi said he was attempting to continue forward with his own personal business.

“This struggles for us as a family. We like the adoration and backing we’re getting. We’re appreciative for everything,” he said.

Mduduzi told the People’s Paper that he would miss his dad, who was consistently strong of him.

“He upheld me in all that I did and for that, I will consistently be thankful. He was my legend. I wouldn’t wish this on my most noticeably terrible foe,” he said.

Mduduzi said his dad was a mainstay of solidarity.

“He was a significant part of my life. I miss him as of now. I’ll generally adore him.”

Many of us know him as Suffocate on eTV’s Rhythm City and it can be hard to marry his character to the person he is when the lights and cameras are away from him and he is not to switched onto his mysterious role.

It also does not help that the actor, who is now on the new Mzansi Magic Telenovela Diep City, does not share much about his life outside the small screen with the public. This is why, whenever he posts a picture or two to appreciate the people in his life, his fans pay attention and enjoy the content.

One thing we’ve observed from Mduduzi Mabaso is that he is a family man. The star has been married to his wife, Fatima, for 12 years and it all started when they business partners. Together they have four children namely Ntokozo, Mpumi, Njabulo, and Zolile.

In one of his recent posts on Instagram, Mabaso served some father and son goals when he shared a short clip of himself and his son. His caption was short and sweet, with the actor showing love and appreciation for his little boy.

His post definitely had some people in their feels, garnering lots of positive comments from his fans.

Another follower by the name of, Macala Dladla, expressed his desire and longing for a father’s love in his life as his is now late, “How I wish kuthola uThando lukaBaba. ngyakuzonda ukufa”

The actor also served us husband goals from time to time. Having been married before and then going through a divorce, he never believed he would ever find love again, but all of that changed when he met his current wife Fatima.

Speaking to Move Magazine, the award-winning actor opened a bit about how his previous marriage affected his perspective towards women and love in general.
“I really don’t want to dwell too much on my previous marriage. All I can say is that it affected me to the point that I wanted nothing to do with women and I made a vow that I would never love again.” Said Mduduzi.

Mdu shared how Fatima was the main reason he gave love a second chance and the only woman who managed to change his negative views about women into positive ones.

The couple met on the set of Zone 14 and although they did not hit it off immediately, Mdu was quite intrigued about Fatima who worked with the production crew of the show. At first, Mdu thought Fatima was a bit snobbish but was curious as to why all the men in the production team were all charmed by her. The two eventually warmed up to each other and after getting acquainted for two months, Mdu knew that she was the one for him.

“I was pleasantly surprised when she started talking to me. I discovered that we had a lot in common and after two months, I knew that she was the one I wanted to grow old with. I asked her to marry me and the rest is history.”
