As such, Kefilwe needed a dress for the weekend wedding spectacular.

Seeing as she got a custom-made by Gert-Johan Coetzee, Mabote took to her stories to share her zebra-print gown with a plunging neckline and train detail on her stories and Instagram.

Safe to say, while Instagrammers were complimentary over the fact. It only took for the dress in question to be shared on Twitter for polarising opinions to start rearing their heads. This fact, earned Kefilwe the nickname of Kefi, as tweeps debated the merits of whether her dress was appropriate to wear. More so, when compared to the dress that Nana wore for her special day.

On the one hand, there were those that believed that Kefi intended on upstaging the bride at how own wedding. More so given that the dress she wore had a train, which naysayers suggest should only be worn by the bride.

However, supporters of Kefi and her gown, have asserted that Kefi is an influencer best known for turning looks. Therefore, to invite her to your special day and have yourself as the bride wear a dress which is best dressed as mmmhhh, you only have yourself to blame if you are upstaged.

While it seems that some opinions were pressed and suggested that the bride in question was slighted by the fact that Kefilwe might have upstaged her at her own wedding festivities. Nana seems to have been alerted to the noise surrounding the events of the past weekend.

As such, she used one of her Instagram stories, to suggestively address the matter. It seems that Nana spent more time counting the money she received during the festivities, than she did on the drama of “who wore it best.”

Limpopo ANC resists attempts to sway its stance on President Ramaphosa ahead of conference

The African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo has affirmed its position on Cyril Ramaphosa despite attempts to sway it away from its endorsement for his re-election as party president.

At a provincial general council, Limpopo, one of the ANC’s largest provinces, also deliberated over energy and unemployment and resolved to support calls for its constitution to be amended so that a second deputy secretary-general can be elected.

A delegation of 598 members from the province will be making their way to Gauteng this week for the ANC’s 55th national conference.

The publication understands that attempts by key figures in the province to sway Limpopo towards positions adopted by KwaZulu-Natal, including supporting Zweli Mkhize as president and the scrapping of the step-aside resolution came to nothing.

“A special PGC also expressed its overwhelming support for President Cyril Ramaphosa for a second term,” said provincial spokesperson, Jimmy Machaka.

While Limpopo’s chairperson, Stan Mathabatha, is in hot water after attempting to address an event in KZN recently, he received support from his province.

The province also raised concerns over the country’s continuous bouts of rolling power outages.

“Concrete plans with timelines on how the government will be instructed to end load shedding”.

Delegates from the province will soon be arriving in Gauteng, where the ANC’s 55th national conference will kick off on Friday.

MPs reject Phala Phala report

Parliament has rejected an independent panel’s report into the Phala Phala farm theft.

This means President Cyril Ramaphosa won’t face impeachment at this stage.

The report found that Ramaphosa may have violated the Constitution in relation to the 2020 burglary at his Limpopo farm.

The impeachment “inquiry will therefore not be proceeded with”, National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula said.

Earlier, Mapisa-Nqakula stood firm on her decision to have the Phala Phala report saga to be voted in an open ballot.

She said despite allegations of intimidation and threats against some MPs, the House is not toxic enough that lawmakers would be scared to vote with their conscience.

Mapisa-Nqakula said an open ballot will ensure public trust and confidence.

Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma voted for Parliament to adopt the report.

The ANC presidential hopeful bucked the party line and her vote was well received by the opposition benches.
