The Kingdom actor Thapelo Maropefela(Kagiso) has died
THE Kingdom actor Thapelo Maropefela has died.
The 25-year-old who played Kagiso on the SABC1 show died on Sunday, 24 October.
His sister Kamo Maropefela shared the news on social media on Sunday.
“Friends and Family, unfortunately my little brother, Thapelo, left us in the early hours of today. Please give my family and I some space to process and arrange everything. Thank you, loves,” wrote Kamo.
She did not announce the cause of death, but said he was supposed to celebrate his birthday with his family, which didn’t happen. Thapelo would’ve turned 25 on Monday, 25 October.
Kamo wrote: “What pains me the most is he never spends his birthday at home. This year he assured my mom he was going be home for his birthday. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it. He left us on the eve of his birthday.”
On Monday, she posted photos of him to wish him a happy birthday.
“We were supposed to be celebrating your 25th birthday today, Sthape! I’m so sorry, Nana. I’m so sorry. Happy heavenly crown birthday my boy. I love you so much. I’m sorry, papa,” she wrote.
Fans of the young actor have sent messages of love and condolences to Kamo and her family.
