A few months ago, South African comedian Tol Ass Mo shocked social media users after revealing that he and his wife Mome had separated and are headed for divorce. The reality TV star also made some shocking comments about never dating black women again and was later spotted with a mystery woman.

Surprisingly enough, a video of he and Mome looking very loved up was shared on social media and now he has confirmed their reunion in a touching Instagram post. South Africans were taken aback after hearing what local comedian Tol A$$ Mo — real name Mongezi Mahlangu — had to say about his wife Mome Mahlangu in a podcast interview a couple of months later, and the two have reconciled.

The news was confirmed by Tol Ass Mo who took to Instagram to thank God for reuniting them while adding that they will be together forever.

“We have had so many up and downs, but Love conquers all I’m so blessed to have you back in my life I’m truly grateful for Gods mercy upon our marriage. Till death do us part forever and always love you #mahlanguville,” he captioned a photo of the two of them together.

Tol Ass Mo steps out of retirement and is ready to give of his best

Comedian and TV personality Mongezi “Tol Ass Mo” Mahlangu has decided to get back on stage to offer fans side-splitting entertainment.

In 2019, the Emmy nominated stand-up comedian announced that he will drop the mic after 15 years of stand-up “to move on to other things in life. During this time he was also accused of rape by SA model, Lerato Moloi, but was recently vindicated when he was acquitted of all charges.

Three years later, he is itching to get back on stage to tickle the funnybone. He took to Instagram to share the news of his return saying that he “lives and dies” for stand-up comedy.

The comedian revealed that he originally left the industry because it had cost him people whom he considered to be ”friends“, but learned the hard way ”when days are dark, friends are few“.

He said: “I can’t believe that I am going back on stage again after 3yrs of getting to know myself and my ancestors better. I left the industry because it cost me so many people that I considered to be my friends.

“I learnt the hard way that when days are dark friends are few. But it also was a lesson I needed to learn.”
He promised to give his fans and audiences the best of himself every time he steps on stage and in front of the camera.

Tol Ass Mo threatens to sue everyone who called him a rapist

Following a court ruling that found him innocent of the rape of model and actress Lerato Moloi, retired comedian Tol Ass Mo is set to sue Moloi for defamation.

In 2020, Moloi said Mo had s.e.xually assaulted her while they worked on a production together in 2014.
Since Wednesday, August 16, Mo has been all over Twitter hunting down and demanding apologies from all those who considered him guilty before the court’s ruling. One of those he came for was Samkelo Ndolvu.

SamkeloNdlovu I expect a public apology from you within 24hrs, if not expect my legal team to be in contact with you,” he tweeted. The following day Ndlovu responded: “Ku weird. You’ve had many opportunities to tell me this between then and now. U have my numbers, been to my house many times.

“But if it’s an apology u want; then Askies Mongezi 4 believing a woman that she was raped in South Africa, not with us being the rape capital of the world.”

After she asked him what she did, he responded: “You called me a rapist on live radio with no evidence while interviewing @leratommoloi.

“I have been proven innocent by the court of law and vindicated of all charges. Call me a rapist again I dare you.”

Rape case opened against married comedian Tol Ass Mo

She won’t be silenced this time!

Model and human rights activist Lerato Moloi claims reality TV star and comedian, Tol Ass Mo, raped her in 2014 while she was working on a TV production in Paarl, Western Cape.

She’s now opened a rape case against him.

Her lawyer Thato Mahapa said that on 15 June, Tol Ass Mo applied for a protection order and an interim court order demanding she remove her tweets.

“The case was postponed to 14 September.”

“Lerato opened a rape case at Vereeniging cop shop on 10 July, and that it was transferred to Paarl. “We’ll be attending on 17 August,” he said.

Lerato said she told only one of the participants on the show about her experience.

She said when she tried to share some of her experiences on social media, there were attempts to silence her. “In the past two months I’ve been served with letters from Tol Ass Mo’s attorneys to remove my tweets,” she said.

She now understood why GBV victims took so long to speak out. “I’ve been discouraged by people close to me, and by management, against speaking the truth because it would be too uncomfortable for too many.”

Lerato said shed been shamed for putting herself in this position. It had taken two weeks to get a statement and a rape case opened against Tol Ass Mo.

“The only way we’re going to deal with GBV is to face it head on,”said Lerato.

Tol Ass Mo said the case was before court, so he couldn’t comment.

Recently we published a story in June about Lerato being arrested for not removing tweets about her claims.

Investigations are still under way.

Vereeniging cops spokesman, Captain Fikile Fundi, confirmed that a case of rape was opened and transferred to Paarl. They’ll appear on 17 August, he said.
