Rethabile Khumalo is back and serving beauty following three surgeries in the hospital. Last week, the mother of the singer announced on social media that she was fighting for your life after being poisoned by her friend.

It must have been a relief for her family and fans. Her stylist sharing photos of her looking good after a makeover is a nice touch to reassure everyone of her recovery

“It has been six days now in hospital…So I decided its only fair to share with her supporters these sad news…They did 3operations on her already we hoping that @rethabile_rsa will soon recover but at the moment akukho kuhle….She has been On and off…When you pray please include her in your prayers….Ubunzima bokuba umzali,” Winnie Khumalo wrote.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Winnie revealed that her daughter is back home; she appreciates the show of love and prayers. Thank you for your prayers,love and support @rethabile_rsa is back home,” the mom wrote on Instagram.

Photos of Rethabile looking dope after a makeover was also shared by her stylist as proof that the singer is indeed okay.

Rethabile Khumalo slams Amapiano singers, says there’s a lot of untalented people

Popular Mzansi singer-songwriter, Rethabile Khumalo has shared a controversial opinion about the Amapiano genre.

When asked what challenges she faced in the music industry during a sit down with Gogo Skhotheni and her mother Winnie Khumalo, the singer said she was unimpressed with how amapiano artists took the spotlight while “real talent” goes unnoticed.

“I feel like in the music industry there’s a lot of untalented people now because the amapiano genre brought us some sort of people. Someone can arrive and get song of the year and us, the real ones, we are still waiting,” she said.

Since her stint on Idols SA, the musician has a few hit songs under her belt, including Umlilo with DJ Zinhle and Ntyilo Ntyilo.

Rethabile reflected on her career, speaking of how she was mindful to not try to bank on her mother’s name but instead carve her own path.

Previously speaking to the publication, Rethabile said she did not take having a legend as a mother for granted and understood how the entertainment industry is shaped.

“I’m so lucky to have Winnie Khumalo as my mother because I have someone who understands the journey for an artist, the ups and downs of the journey. I have watched her go through ups and downs in her career and survive them. That’s how I know I can and I will too.

“I have been rejected so many times by this industry that there was a time I thought maybe I should drop this whole thing and go back to school, but I didn’t give up. I did shows for free and kept on because I love music.”

Rethabile Khumalo has taken to her social media to say that she is thankful to God. The year 2022 just kicked off and many of the celebrities have taken the opportunity to reflect on some of the past experiences they had in 2021. Rethabile on the other hand shared a video of herself praising God in a car.

The star stated that she remembered the day she made the video just like yesterday as she just survived a car accident.

Rethabile Khumalo in hot soup for looting R50k dress from sick fashion designer Quiteria

Rethabile Khumalo has found herself in hot water with well-known designer Quiteria Kekana.

This is coming after the star failed to return a dress that costs R50 000 after she had hired it from the designer.

According to Quiteria’s personal assistant Slindile Ngcobo, who spoke to Sunday World, Rethabile had also bought another dress for R20 000.

“Had this been someone else, a Versace on Louis V, people would run to return the dresses because they fear lawsuits, taking advantage of a sick person is unfair. Quiteria has had to give up his home and move back home to keep the studio and raise funds for his medication, the least people can do is pay for the garments they used and if they cannot afford to, they can return them. It’s really just the right thing to do,” said Ngcobo.

Reacting to this, Rethabile said she will be seeing the celebrity designer soon.

“I really don’t need drama right now. I am going through my own things and I know Quiteria is battling with his health, but I will go and see him,” she was quoted as saying.

Singer Rethabile Khumalo mourns death of a loved one

Rethabile Khumalo is devastated at the death of her close friend, who featured on her first music video. The singer announced his passing on social media and shared a snippet off her debut music video.

The Umlilo vocalist said the cause of his death almost killed her too. But, she’s yet to reveal what caused his death.

“I still can’t believe you are gone???……. I remember this day like yesterday we where shooting my first ever music video titled Nomathemba Hambe ????????????????kahle Bhuti musa RIP INTLIZIYO YAMI IS IN PIECES TO THINK I ALSO ALMOST DIED THE SAME WAY,” she captioned post.
