Minnie Dlamini’s husband ditches joint business venture

A source reveals that Minnie Dlamini’s estranged husband Quinton Jones changed his mind about their business partnership. He allegedly informed Minnie that he will be resigning from their company – Beautiful Day Production.

The publication reports that Quinton owns a 25% stake while Minnie owns the rest of the shares in the television production company. The source said that Quinton will instruct his lawyers to file the divorce papers but he will give her their Midrand home, where she will raise their child.

“Remember, they were married by antenuptial contract, which is subject to accrual system,” said a source to the publication.

Minnie and Quinton tied the knot in July 2017 and their wedding was broadcasted on a Showmax special titled Becoming Mrs Jones. The pair welcomed their son Netha Makhosini Jones in 2020.

Minnie announced that she and Quinton are getting divorced on 15 January 2022. However, at the time the actress said that she and her estranged husband will remain business partners.

“In the last 2 years our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time we found comfort in knowing we had each other,” read their joint statement.

“After months of separation and consultations and with our family and counsellor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce. Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners and loving parents to our beautiful son” the statement continued.

“This was a difficult decision to come to and even more heart-breaking to have to announce,” the statement added.

Inside Minnie Dlamini’s new home after divorce

Minnie Dlamini and her ex-husband Quinton Jones stunned everyone after announcing their break-up in February 2022.

Announcing the divorce through an official statement, the couple said it was not an easy decision to come to, “emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will.”

“In the last 2 years, our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had each other.”

Despite their efforts to save their marriage, the burdens outweighed their will to save their marriage.

“Despite our better efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will. After months of separation and consultations with our family and a counsellor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce, she continued.

Despite being divorced, Minnie and Quinton remain friends and loving parents to their son, Netha.

“Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners and loving parents to our beautiful son. This was a difficult to come to an even more heart-breaking to have to announce. In the wake of this news, we ask that you please grant us privacy during this difficult time.”

As Minnie is adjusting to life after divorce, she recently redesigned her home as she says it’s a huge part of regaining her identity.

“In this new phase of my life, redesigning my home has been a huge part of reclaiming my identity @morellirugs are super beautiful which made my decision making very difficult,” she says.

“They offered to bring my favourite options into my home so I could see exactly what works best, in my space,” she posted.

Minnie and Quinton got married in 2017 at a glamorous all-white wedding ceremony in held in Cape Town. During their four-year marriage, the couple has been blessed with a 1-year-old son, Netha.

The couple ended their marriage this year after consultations with their respective families and a counsellor.

Minnie Dlamini has been strutting her stuff on the runways and roads of Paris this week. She made her international runway debut for South African designer Jessica’s Molebatsi’s show last Friday, where she was the show stopper for Molebatsi’s new French-Xhosa range “The Noluthando Range”.
She was so hung up about the meeting that she immediately WhatsApp’d her family, saying she couldn’t breathe.
