Twitter reacts after Kelly Rowland reveals she’s in South Africa
Former Destiny’s Child band member Kelly Rowland, has caused quite a buzz on Twitter, after revealing that she is in the country. There is no indication of what she’s currently doing in South Africa, but she has sent her fans into a frenzy.
Kelly’s alleged beef with SA TV host Anele Mdoda, is on for the books and Black Twitter will never put it to rest.
Anele’s name always pops up whenever she shares a post, making Mzansi confused about whether she is stalking Anele and whether she is clapping back at her. Yesterday, the international superstar posted a video of herself glamming up on her Twitter account, and caused quite a stir.
A Tweep replied to her Tweet, asking if she was aware that whenever she shares a pos, SA Black Twitter is in chaos. She replied and said she was not aware and revealed that she’s in the country.“Ey Boo!! I didn’t know that!! Surprise….Surprise….cause, I’m here in S.A. Now!! Wait! Let me post a pic,” she tweeted.
Since then, she has been trending on Twitter and Mzansi wants Anele to wake up to see her Tweet.
The pair has seemingly been beefing since October 2019. This is after Anele threw major shade at Kelly when radio personality, Sizwe Dhlomo, rated her as the best-looking member of Destiny’s Child Band.
“Kelly Rowland could lowkey be the best looking one in DC…” Sizwe wrote. Anele disagreed with Sizwe’s and said she had receipts, “Kelly looks amazing with makeup. Take that make up off then it’s tickets. I have receipts.” The radio host shared an image of Kelly Rowland with a face full of makeup and one without.
Her comment opened a can of worms and she was the center of quite a social media drag moment, but she remained unflappable. Many even think she should consider drafting a formal apology to Kelly as she seemingly keeps shading her.
Kelly recently shared a fierce snap of her busking in the sun in a yellow swimsuit similar to one Anele wore, while she was on holiday. Tweeps thought she was clapping back at Anele. The 94/7 host recently had an interview with Mac G on #PodcastAndChillWithMacG and she cleared the air on their alleged beef.
“For everyone in the room, why do you hate Kelly Rowland so much?” Mac G asked. Sis reiterated that she does not hate Kelly. All she thinks is that she’s not as pretty as Beyonce.
“I don’t hate Kelly Rowland, I don’t hate Kelly at all. I just don’t think she’s prettier than Beyoncé,” Anele responded.
Anele went on to reveal why Kelly often throws subtle clap backs at her. “People want something from me, cause there are many people you think are not prettier than the other one. For years, Michelle was called the ugly one in Destiny’s Child and no-one batted an eyelid.”
