Itu Khune says he is not retiring soon

Itumeleng Khune has no plans of retiring soon. Itu is a South African professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League, and also the South African national team.

Khune shot to fame when he saved three penalties from Esrom Nyandoro and Peter Ndlovu against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout final on 1 December 2007.

The star remains focused despite noise from critics and trolls on social media. Taking to social media, he shared photos of himself on a football pitch and captioned with, “I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL.”

A follower presumed the soccer player was hinting at the end of his career by asking, “Have you retired??”

Itu Khune answered the follower with, “Not anytime soon.”

The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and captain trended on Twitter after the TV presenter announced that she was splitting from husband Quinton Jones.

Minnie and Itu split in 2014 by calling off their engagement after years together. At the time of their break-up, Khune was rumoured to have paid a hefty sum in lobola for Minnie.

Now tweeps are suggesting that Minnie and Khune rekindle their romance, despite the fact that the latter is married and a father of two.

Hours after topping the trends list, Itu Khune tried his best to distance himself from the commentary surrounding his wife

On Twitter, he replied to a tweet posted by his wife Siphelele, whom he shares two daughters with.

The tweet was about Siphelele being spoiled on Valentine’s Day by her soccer player husband. “How was your Valentine’s Day? Mine was beautiful as you can see”, she posted alongside a picture of the couple kissing.

Itu responded to the tweet with four emojis; a heart, a rose, a champagne bottle and a set of champagne glasses to toast with.

Photos: Itu Khune’s bae Sphelele debuts her pregnancy

The Khune’s are awaiting the arrival of their second baby anytime soon. A few days ago, Khune confirmed that his wife Sphelele Khune is pregnant with their second baby. Now, Sphelele just also confirmed with a picture of her protruding belly.

Taking to Instagram, the footballers wife posted a picture which sort of announced the new family member’s awaited arrival But her husband beat her to it. The goalie thanked a follower who congratulated them for their pregnancy. They are both parents to beautiful Amogelang Zenande Khune.

But her pregnancy reveal is beautiful nonetheless. “As we wait for our new addition to the family,” Sphelele captioned.

News of their pregnancy was announced by Sunday World first who got intel from a close family relative. The relative said Sphelele was advised to keep her pregnancy away from the limelight because haters were bound to hate. The mole also revealed that she is expecting twins!

Itu Khune And Sphelele Respond To Break Up Rumours

Another celeb couple headed for divorce? Well it seems Football couple Itumeleng Khune and his wife Sphelele Makhunga are going through a rough patch.

The soccer star reportedly spend Christmans alone.

According to City Press Sphelele packed her bags and went home to KwaZulu-Natal in November. She is allegedly tired of Khune and his cheating ways and has gone home to cool off and think of a way forward.

Close friends of Sphelele say she is not giving up on her marriage as she doesn’t want to make her haters happy.

“She wants to fight or her marriage”,

Upon being asked if this is true the couple denied everything.

Sphelele: “Well I have never responded to any of yall’s sh*t and I will certainly not start now this year. Now go ahead and publish your bedtime stories”

Well, it seems they are ok after all if Khune’s latest post is anything to go by.

He took to IG to wish his wife a happy birthday.

The Khune’s just welcomed their first child and are already looking to have more kids that will expand their beautiful family.

Sphelele Makhunga shared some details on Instagram about their marriage and has revealed there is some more baby talk going on. The lovely couple also just introduced their baby girl Amogelang Zenande Khune to the world after months of anticipation from fans.

Her Instagram Stories Q&A session allowed her to share some of her experiences with motherhood. Her questioned 10-year-age gap between her husband Khune has always been a factor many people talked about. However for the young mother, who turned 23, she says she is not bothered. If anything she has always wanted a family at a young age.

The candid exchange between her and her followers allowed them into her marriage. They ‘tied the knot’ traditionally last year but put the white wedding plans on hold to allow their daughter to grow a bit older so she can be their flower girl.

Amogelang is not even a month old, and the couple is already talking about expanding their family. She revealed that she wants three more children but her husband believes in ‘balancing the equation.’

It will take some time though till fans get to see Baby Zee as the Sphelele said No to the request made. “No, but all you must know is that she looks like her dad.”

She continued by saying; “Before she was born I was told that the baby looks like the dad and obviously I was like, hell no. Until today, I still get told that she looks like her dad not me … such betrayal.”
