‘You’re useless’: Bonang calls for Minister Nathi Mthethwa to resign

South African media personality Bonang Matheba has taken a big shot at Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa’s congratulatory message to Banyana Banyana this yesterday, 20 July saying he should resign.

The star who is known to always speak her mind called out the Minister over the lack of support for the thriving women’s soccer team Banyana Banyana.

It all started when Minister Nathi congratulated Banyana Banyana for qualifying for the finals of the Women’s Cup of Nations after defeating Zambia in the semi-finals.

“It is with a deep sense of pride that I congratulate the @Banyana_Banyana warriors on clinching a spot in the finals of the Women’s African Cup of Nations after defeating Zambia in the semi-finals. Your victory is a historic moment for women’s football in South Africa” wrote Minister Nathi Mthethwa.
She also requested for the Banyana Banyana team to be paid accordingly since Minister Nathi Mthethwa has an R30 Million budget for the Orchestra fund.

“Please. These girls deserve MONEY! Open. Your. Wallet. Akere you want an orchestra?!! So damn useless!! Resign.” wrote Bonang Matheba.

Mzansi media personality and self-proclaimed Queen B Bonang Matheba may be in a celebratory mood, in the same token her fans are certainly not jumping for her joy. This comes after collaboration news between Bonang Matheba and Nivea made it to social media.

While reality TV star Bonang Matheba may have bagged yet another bag at her fans’ expense. Instead of her fans celebrating with her, things have rather taken a different direction as tweeps are gunning for Bonang Matheba’s head on a silver platter.

Certainly, tweeps are not jumping for joy, following the video and stills from her collaboration with the brand Nivea and their newest Luminous630 cream range. The anger came from, Bonang Matheba being seen applying the Nivea Lumunos630 cream on her face which is clearly covered with make-up.

Tweeps have taken to Twitter to drag Bonang Matheba over the obvious ‘hypocrisy’, as tweeps feels as though Bonang Matheba and Nivea are taking them for a ride and they do not respect them as reasoning people. Taking to Twitter, tweeps have voiced their grievances at both Queen B and Nivea and it does not look pretty at all.

“Putting cream on makeup, that’s not convincing enough” wrote Onalenna Riri.

Tweeps also feel as though Bonang Matheba had it easy because of her social standing and status. Tweeps are more convinced that somebody else should have be given this opportunity and not Bonang Matheba, who clearly has her fingers in all the pies.

Queen B continues to catch smoke on social media as fans are certainly not jumping for joy for this obvious blunder.

Mzansi television presenter and radio personality Bonang Matheba took to Twitter on Sunday, 3 July seeking assistance about a woman that she said rammed into her car.

She wrote:

“This woman rammed into my car and sped off!! Please help me find her.”

Bonang said in another tweet that the woman “could’ve had some manners & waited”.

While many of the 35-year-old’s fans sympathized with her, some felt she shouldn’t have posted the woman’s number plate online.
One of the tweeps @TheBlushingMom_ said:

“You honestly didn’t have to post their registration on social media. What she did was wrong but the right thing to have done was to report it at your local police station and also your insurance company should be able to assist in tracking her.”

One of the tweeps who came to Bonang’s rescue replied to @TheBlushingMom saying:

“Post a picture of a random Yaris without showing the registration number and ask people to help you track it… brilliant idea.”

Some of the tweeps said Bonang should have just reported the matter to the police or better yet
handled it privately.

Bonang’s Birthday: Somizi and Boity nowhere to be seen

South African media personality & businesswoman, Bonang Dorothy Matheba on Saturday, 25 June 2022 was celebrated by South Africans as Queen *B celebrated her 35th birthday. The alleged “only real celebrity” in South Africa received floods of birthday wishes from her fan base and other prominent media personalities. While it was a given that some of our other Mzansi celebrities would not wish Matheba a happy birthday, there were some surprise blue ticks on social media that left us wondering what happened?

Mzansi celebs who would not wish Bonang a happy birthday
In 2022, we have come to learn that not everybody in the world of Mzansi celebs is going to be friends. Therefore, there were celebrities who were expected not to wish Bonang a happy birthday. First and foremost. We knew that DJ Zinhle and best friend Pearl Thusi would sit out of the celebrations. Therefore, in extension, their “Zulu girl” posse would also not, including Moozlie, Thabsie, and Yolanda Vilakazi.

Another camp we saw not wishing Dorothy Matheba a happy birthday was former friend and rapper, Nadia Nakai. This is as Nadia Nakai has come under fire for the type of friend she is as she seemingly forgot about the “Bro Code” of not dating your friend’s ex as she is currently in a relationship with AKA- the man who left a pregnant DJ Zinhle to be with Bonang, allegedly.

The last camp we did not expect to wish Queen *B a happy birthday was Minnie Dlamini-not-Jones-anymore’s camp. It is no secret that there is no love loss between Bonang and Minnie. This is believed to have stemmed from the icing that Bonang allegedly treated Minnie with during their time together on the set of SABC’s LIVE! Therefore, in extension, this would include Minnie’s camp of Unathi Nkayi, Anele Mdoda and adjacent, Phil Mphela.

Somizi and Boity blue tick Bonang’s birthday?

In light of the expected blue ticks from celebrity camps mentioned above. There were some surprise blue ticks on the Queen’s birthday which leave us wondering, what happened? Arguably, the biggest surprise in terms of celebrities that did wish our local Queen *B is Bonaang’s former reality tv co-star Boity. Last time we checked, Boity and Bonang were SeTswana besties, who supported each other.

But something seems to have happened in their friendship which has either led them to go private or means that there is no friendship to speak of. A fact which was highlighted by earlier this year when insiders spoke about the awkwardness between the two during Riky Rick’s final memorial service earlier this year.

Another surprise blue tick was their on-and-off-again friend, Somizi Mhlongo. Bonang and Somizi have had a tumultuous friendship throughout the years. But the last time we checked, the two had already made amends. But the last time we did check was when Bonang was attending Somizi’s “wedding” to his estranged husband- or not estranged husband…

But this could be the reason that Somizi has since iced Queen *B again, as Mohale not only wished Bonang a happy birthday. But Bonang went on to share and like the birthday wish from Mohale. Maybe, just maybe, Bonang chose Team Mohale rather than Team Somizi, hence we are here now…

Inside Bonang’s fight for her baby

The year or rather a month cannot go by without us having some Bonang tea and catch up on what she’s up to. The past month saw Bonang go through so much like her legal battle with a former business associate and she was dragged by Slik Talk and the nation for her looks.

However, nothing has ever kept Queen B down, but she always manages to rise above every situation. Not paying attention to what the naysayers have to say about her, she joined David Beckham on a cause that’s close to her heart which is the fight against malaria. Bonang told her fans that she will not go down without a fight when it come s to who the real owner of BNG is.

With that being said, let’s take a look at how eventful this year has been for her already.

Bonang Calls Davin Phillips A Monster

When The Sunday Times reported that Bonang might not fully own House Of BNG, as she was allegedly “muscled out” from being a shareholder, she went on a Twitter rant to clear the air. She went out to vent her frustrations and unfortunately for Davin Phillips the CEO of CSA Global, he was on her radar.

Speaking to Drum magazine Bonang said she is still fighting for her baby, “There was and still is a huge legal battle around BNG that is still ongoing. I can’t say too much because the matter is sub judice. But BNG is here, doing well. It is my brand;…”

However, the company came out to claim otherwise that Bonang is fully aware of her partnership with CSA global and her share in the BNG brand. They seemed to say what was contrary to what Bonang was saying.

Bonang shoots her shot at actor Mduduzi Mabaso! It is without a doubt that former Rhythm City actor Mduduzi Mabaso, is a ladies man who will make you weak at the knees. The actor is aging like fine wine and women often gush over his good looks.

It seems our very own Bonang “Queen B” Matheba is crushing on him, and she is not afraid to show it. This follows after Mduduzi’s daughter Lerato Machaba took to her Twitter account to celebrate her father on Father’s Day.

Lerato posted a series of pictures of herself posing with her father, and Bonang dropped a sweet comment on the tweet. Bonang did not hesitate in asking Mduduzi’s daughter if she would like to have a stepmother.
“Baby, do you want a new stepmom? ” she commented. Is Queen B ready to become Mduduzi’s wife? Well, we don’t blame her for crushing on him though because the hot property and he oozes self-confidence we love to see.

Entrepreneur and TV presenter, Bonang Matheba is currently getting trolled on social media for her looks and people are having a field day with her.

A popular Twitter troll had Bonang trend for almost the entire day when he dragged her for her looks. The troll shared an unedited picture of Bonang in a very weird angle and even compared her to Thuli Madonsela.

If that was not enough, the troll compared her to American actress Megan Good who is years older than Bonang.

Megan is currently in her early 40s and Bonang is in her early 30s. The comparison gained traction with people slamming the TV presenter for her looks.

Here are some of the mean comments:

Her fans came to her defense saying cyberbullying contributes to mental health problems and that people should be careful what they say about others on social media.

“I’m disappointed in this comparison as we might not what Bonang might be going through resulting in the way she currently appears! There are lots of chronic diseases and depression that most people are faced with and should not be mocked or abused on social platforms!” exclaimed @Lisa__Kanana.

“And also ageism is always directed to women. Exactly why Miss USA committed suicide, to say we are hard on women aging as if it’s a disease. We are a toxic society. That pic is not a true reflection of who Bonang looks like. There’s a recent video of her. That’s her,” said @Maalehus.

“Coming for Bonang ‘s Facial Features Is Low That Woman Looks Good She’s Evolving Growing And That’s What Happens In Life She Won’t Look 24 Forever, She’s Mature And Ageing Is A Part Of Us All. We’ll Love Her Even In Her 50s,” said @KellyZenande.

Another called out people for using injections to make themselves appear younger than what they actually look like, “But it’s not just makeup, people are getting fillers, injections and face lifts to chase this “looking young” narrative and some people don’t have the funds and the “proper access” to these things.”

Bonang was recently showered with sweet words from Andile Ncube who is said to have been the one who discovered Bonang. In an interview with The Kings Of The Weekend, Andile narrated how and when he saw Bonang and why he decided to give her a shot in entertainment.

A young Bonang was auditioning for the Lotto but her age could not allow her to present. So Andile saw that as an opportunity to scout her.

“I don’t want credit for doing my job. My job was to find the very best co-anchor for this show and I found it. The accolade is in what she is doing, that is my remuneration. She needs to do better for me to even feel better,” he said. He then added, “she is the best of our time!”

Gushing over him, Bonang took to Twitter and said she loves him.

Mzansi-born media personality Bonang Matheba has reportedly opened a case of theft against a former business associate, who she allegedly had a romantic relationship with.

A local publication reports that Bonang’s relationship with a former business associate — who is a Zimbabwean business person — turned sour when she opened a case of theft against him in March. The media personality accused the Zimbabwean businessperson of stealing her documents and attempting to obtain a visa for her without her consent.

A source tells the publication that the former business associate was in a romantic relationship with Bonang.

“The complainant alleged that on Tuesday, March 15, she received a call informing her that someone had used her personal documents while trying to apply for a visa for her without her consent,” read the statement according to the publication.

“The suspect who used to work with her is in possession of her personal documents,” read the statement.

A source claims that the charges against the business person were not valid. This is because he had been planning a romantic vacation to the UK for himself and Bonang in March. However, he allegedly ended up ghosting Bonang after a fallout.

“However, the two had fallen out and the trip was put on hold. The businessperson had eventually ghosted Matheba. He doesn’t want anything to do with her, he blocked her everywhere on his phone a long time ago,” said a source to the publication.

The pair allegedly began dating in late 2021 after the media personality returned to South Africa from her one-year stay in New York.

Bonang was said to be in a relationship with the businessperson from late 2021 but in April she revealed she was dating an American guy for four months.

“I have been dating my American guy for about a year and four months now,” she said to Drum.

She revealed that she did not want to introduce her new bae to her followers as yet but she affirmed she was in a happy relationship.

“Showing my relationships has never benefited me in any way. It has brought me worse than good, and I learned that the hard way. I feel like I make more money when people don’t know who I am dating. But I am happy in this relationship. You can see my happiness in my glow and ake shoti ka nex,” she continued.

This comes after Bonang accused Davin Phillips — the owner of her former management company Celebrity Services Africa (CSA) — of stealing from her company.
