Media personality Somizi Mhlongo and his estranged husband, actor Mohale Motaung have both confirmed their divorce by releasing statements to their respective Instagram accounts over the weekend.
SOMHALE MARRIED IN COMMUNITY OF PROPERTY
In the leaked audio clips between Mohale and the producers of Living the Dream with Somizi, released by a local publication, the Rockville actor explained that he and Somizi are married in community of property although they did not sign any papers.
“He didn’t want us to sign because he probably also had ideas that I want to marry him for his money, but he also didn’t know that by us having a traditional wedding we are automatically married in community of property,” said Mohale.
Although Mohale claims he only wants his clothes and a car from the divorce, he said that he will go for 50% of Somizi’s assets if he does not get a car.
“By law I’m supposed to be getting 50% off whatever that you own. If you are refusing to give me the car then we are going to go the big lawyer route where you are now going to be forced to give me half of your assets,” continued Mohale.

Aside from Somizi Mhlongo popular role as a judge on Idols SA which he recently stepped down from, his career extends to actor, singer, dance, author, chef, brand ambassador, television presenter and more. Dipping his talents into various streams earned him a net worth of $5 million according to the publication which equates to R73 million.
