Mzansi rapper and TV host Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye has taken to social media to share his side of the story regarding the Moses Kotane Arts Festival.

The festival that was scheduled to take place at Moruleng Stadium from 3 to 4 December was cancelled, leaving fans disappointed.

Jub Jub from Soweto told the publication that he wanted the festival to benefit young local people, but some people wanted to use his brand to benefit themselves.

But Jub Jub claims he was shooting Uyajola 9/9 when some changes regarding the festival were done behind his back.

“People are just jealous because they can’t do what I do. I am not going to sit down and let people use my name like that,” he said.

The musician said he was tired of being accused of things he doesn’t of.

On Tuesday, 6 December, Jub Jub uploaded a video on Instagram saying he wasn’t happy with how his name and brand were being used by some people who wanted to benefit from the festival.

“When I do something, I make sure that it benefits everyone. Some people wanted to use this event to their own benefit and not to help the locals, and I wouldn’t let that happen,” Jub Jub said.

“There are lots of videos circulating all over social media platforms about what happened and I just want to put the record straight,” he said.

Jub Jub said they had an agreement that the event should benefits local people, and not take something away from them.

“We wanted the people of Moses Kotane to be proud of their heritage,” he said.

He said he wasn’t there when the event was finalized.

“I wasn’t available as I was busy shooting Uyajola 9/9.I felt like my name was being used, and there is a lot of misinformation regarding this event,” he said.

One of the promoters, Keabetswe Mokoena, told the SunTeam that their aim with this event was to promote young artists from North West.

“We reach out to different artists and our plan was to use Jub Jub as the face of the Moses Kotane Arts Festival this year. Nex year, we were going to use another big brand,” she said.

She said the reason things did not go well with Jub Jub is that he wanted to add other musicians on the line-up while they were done with it.

She said they told him that it wasn’t going to work.

“We also didn’t agree on the issue of him wanting to bring different people who will promote the event from Joburg while the event is in North West,” said Keabetswe.

Berlina Lekgetwane, head of communications at Moses Kotane Municipality, said she couldn’t comment on the matter.

Acting mayor Bushy Manganye said they didn’t agree on a few things, which resulted in them not working together.

Naledi Pandor worried about gender parity in the ANC

Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor said that she was worried about gender parity in the governing African National Congress (ANC).

Pandor, an ANC NEC member, made the comments during a media briefing on the country’s diplomatic affairs.

During the briefing, Pandor appeared to back President Cyril Ramaphosa ahead of the ANC’s national elective conference set to kick-off at the end of the week.

Pandor assured the media that the country’s diplomatic ties hadn’t been rattled by the uncertainty around Ramaphosa’s political future.

“One or two colleagues have called but they don’t want the minutiae of the issue, they’re more interested in is South Africa stable? Should we anticipate a kind of conflict which will harm the stability? And I have assured them that even when the temperature appears very high in South Africa, we remain a stable democracy.”

With only two women in the running for a top six post, Pandor also hit out at the party’s lack of representation at top structures.

Former Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of South Africa, Malusi Gigaba is set to get married for the third time, according to Zimoja.

The 51-year-old politician, who has also held office as the Minister of Public Enterprise, is said to have paid lobola for his Eswatini fiancée, Nomfundo Fakudze.

The publication reports that Gigaba sent his uncles to the Kingdom of Eswatini in Manzini this past weekend.
Fakudze is a senior investment associate at National Empowerment Fund (NEF).
While it is not clear when the couple will get married, ZAlebs reported in 2021 that the pair were already in a relationship after Fakudze was spotted at the politician’s daughter Lerato Gigaba’s 21st birthday party.

The former minister has not been able to hide his love for Fakudze as he gushes over her beauty at every chance he gets on her Instagram posts.

The couple have also been flirting on the social media app.

In the comments section under one of her posts, Gigaba refers to his fiancée as a “flame” – which she corrects and tells him to add the possessive adjective “my” in the beginning of his compliment.

In another post, he refers to Fakudze as “Dali [Darling]” as he responds to an Instagram user complimenting her beauty.

Malusi Gigaba has been married twice previously.

In 2010 he got divorced from his first wife Thabong Nxumalo after he had allegedly cheated on her with Nomachule “Norma” Gigaba (née Mngoma) – who became his second wife.

Gigaba and Norma married in 2014, but had a messy split in 2020 which resulted in the businesswoman keying his friend’s Mercedes-Benz G-Class after he allegedly also cheated on her.

She was released on R5 000 bail in July of the same year.

Norma also testified against Gigaba at the Zondo commission in 2021, alleging that he worked with the Gupta family to capture the state.

Did “Kefi” Do Too Much?

Did “Kefi” Do Too Much?

Kefilwe Mabote is one of the most lauded Instagram baddies and influencers in the country. She, along with friend Sarah Langa, fronts the group of the most elite and sought-after influencers outside of the “youth” category which is fronted by the likes of Mihlali Ndamase.

While allegations might suggest that her influence is earned from her high profile speculated relationships with the likes of high profile businessman and controversial personality, Edwin Sodi. Mabote does boast a number of businesses that she runs outside of being an influencer and an author, which she credits for her success.

Did “Kefi” Do Too Much?

Moreover, for many that follow her, it is her continuous ability to remain stylish that continues to earn her more followers. Whether it is for a casual brunch with friends, a red carpet moment, or attending festivities. Mabote always ensures she comes looking like a dream or just an Instagram-perfect image. But following her latest fashion moment reveal, tweeps are wondering:
Did Keiflwe “Kefi” do too much?
This past weekend, Kefilwe Mabote was part of the attendees of friend and fellow influencer, Nana Gcaba Moisa’s uMemulo and wedding celebrations in KwaZulu Natal.

As such, Kefilwe needed a dress for the weekend wedding spectacular.
Seeing as she got a custom-made by Gert-Johan Coetzee, Mabote took to her stories to share her zebra-print gown with a plunging neckline and train detail on her stories and Instagram.

Safe to say, while Instagrammers were complimentary over the fact. It only took for the dress in question to be shared on Twitter for polairising opinions to start rearing their heads. A fact, which earned Kefilwe the nickname of Kefi, as tweeps debated the merits of whether her dress was appropriate to wear. More so, when compared to the dress that Nana wore for her special day.

On the one hand, there were those that believed that Kefi intended on upstaging the bride at how own wedding. More so given that the dress she wore had a train, which naysayers suggest should only be worn by the bride.

However, supporters of Kefi and her gown, have asserted that Kefi is an influencer best known for turning looks. Therefore, to invite her to your special day and have yourself as the bride wear a dress which is best dressed as mmmhhh, you only have yourself to blame if you are upstaged.

While it seems that some opinions were pressed and suggested that the bride in question was slighted by the fact that Kefilwe might have upstaged her at her own wedding festivities. Nana seems to have been alerted to the noise surrounding the events of the past weekend.
As such, she used one of her Instagram stories, to suggestively address the matter. It seems that Nana spent more time counting the money she received during the festivities than she did on the drama of “who wore it best.”

Did “Kefi” Do Too Much?

Did “Kefi” Do Too Much?

This is as she asserted that she was happy that every single one of her guests had turned looks for her celebration and was grateful to all attendees, which presumably also includes Mabote.
